Oooh! There’s a gin tasting chart so you can make the most perf G&T

We've guzzled down a few G&Ts in our day, but when it comes to making them at home… let's just say we're drinking them more for the buzz and not for the taste.

It's a simple drink, but there's a fine art to combining the perfect flavours. So, to help all of you gin lovers out there, here's all you need to make the tastiest G&T.

The Gin Foundry has come up with a fab chart, or 'gin tasting wheel' which matches various gins with the appropriate mixer.

According to the chart, clean gins go well with cucumber and apple, while herbal gins go well with rosemary or basil.

But the chart does more than just match ingredients, it can also help you to identify the different aromas and improve your tasting vocabulary.

The Gin Foundry website reads: "Most of us have been brought up to understand and recognise colours and shapes by name but most of us have never learnt how to express flavours in words.

"So, with that in mind, Gin Foundry have created this Tasting Wheel in the hopes of helping those in trouble to develop a more educated palate and empower them with ways to articulate it."

Goodbye dry January…
