So apparently you’ve been sitting at your desk the WRONG way
We have all been told at one time or another just how we SHOULD be sitting at our desk in work.
There is a lot of information out there about the "proper posture" you need to use when sitting at you computer.
Until now, we would have said that sitting up straight, at a 90 degree angle would have been the best option.
Well, according to Cornell University ergonomics professor Dr. Alan Hedge, the 90 degree rule does more damage than good.
Dr. Alan Hedge posted a very informative video, in which he explained the proper way to sit at your desk.
In the video, the doctor explained that when sitting at a desk, you should try and lean backwards ever so slightly, to relieve pressure on your lower back. This position will reduce muscle activity in your torso, allowing the chair to take some of your bodyweight. Well now we know!
