Cocu has been one of our favourite foodie spots to grab lunch this summer, but sadly the epic Dublin eatery is closing it's doors.

Renowned for their hearty salads and healthy treats, Cocu is the perfect myriad of delicious ingredients and a heath conscious attitude.

The Chatham Street location will serve its last customer today, before moving on elsewhere.

'We are sad to announce that our short tenure in Chatham Street has come to an end, ' reads a recent Insta post.

'Cocu Chatham St will be closing its doors on Wednesday 30th August.'

'We’d like to thank all our lovely customers for their continued support.'

Thankfully we don't have to be too devastated, as the Hatch St unit is still going strong, and is a mere five minutes away from the current location.

In more excellent news, this is more of a see you later than a goodbye, as Cocu announced that they will soon be setting up shop elsewhere.

The delicious foodie concept will be making a permanent home for itself in the IFSC in the coming weeks.

The Kale & Coco smoothie bowl pop-up will also be finishing up this week, but Rebecca and Jen have promised that they will be running some amazing special offers in the remaining days.

As students across the country scramble to find appropriate accommodation ahead of the academic year, the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) is urging people to visit homes.usi.ie.

There are over 900 rooms available to rent on the website, and USI are encouraging students to consider digs to take some of the pressure off searching for rented accommodation.

USI President Michael Kerrigan said, “We’re now seeing digs benefiting both the homeowner and the student. Students have somewhere warm and safe near where they're studying. The homeowner gets to claim up to €14,000-a-year tax free.”

Concerns over the lack of available accommodation have prompted the USI to take action.

“Worryingly, 38 students in our study on housing stated that they have no accommodation and had to sleep on friends’ couches, floors or in cars. In two cases, students declared sleeping rough and availing of homeless aid. We don’t want to see this happen to more students.”

“To have 900 rooms ready to rent at one time on homes.usi.ie is a clear sign that homeowners are responding to the student accommodation crisis,” he added.

USI are recommending that students contact the homeowners directly by mobile phone to discuss house rules before moving in.

An online support service is available to website users on homes@usi.ie and homes.usi.ie also offer accommodation advice.

The move to secure reproductive rights for Irish women has been a major social and political issue in Ireland in recent years, as the call to repeal the 8th amendment has gained major traction.

One Instagram page popped up recently and caught our eye in a big way, as it shared a number of harrowing quotes from women who have faced the daunting issue in Ireland.

Not At Home is an art campaign which aims to make visible the experience of Irish women who have travelled abroad to procure safe terminations.

The collective want to make the lived experiences of women who travel visible to the public.

'We want to make visible the Irish women travelling to access safe abortion services,' reads the project description.

'We are inviting women to contribute confidentially or otherwise.'

The collective are also selling jumpers carrying their slogan – 'Not not at all, just not at home.'

They can be found online or in store at Nine Crows from either their Dublin or Galway locations.

All proceeds from the sales of these jumpers go to covering the costs of the Not At Home production in this year's Dublin Fringe Festival

The production, called Not at Home, will be free, and will depict the awful extents that Irish women are forced to go to in order to have a safe abortion.

'Since April 2016, we have been collecting anonymous testimonies from women online.'

'We now have a crowd-sourced text of these women’s experiences of travelling abroad.'

'In June 2017, we visited BPAS Merseyside in Liverpool.'

'From these texts and our experience of recreating this journey, we are creating a durational art work featuring video, sound installation and live performance.'

The performance will take place at NCAD as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival.

If there's one thing we love in this life, it's throwback photos.

And when they belong to some of our favourite stars, they're even more enjoyable, so big thanks to Ellen DeGeneres who treated her millions of followers to a shot of herself at what can only be described as everyone's most awkward age.

Sporting short, auburn curls and looking decidedly uncomfortable, Ellen forced a smile, and reminded us why teenage years are so damn uncomfortable.

"In honor of Season 15, here’s a photo of me when I was just about 15 (why God, why?!)" she wrote in the same anguished tone we reserve for our own teen photos.

"Now I wanna see yours. Post a photo from when you were 15 with #ellen15 and you just might see yourself on my show next week!" she encouraged in the post which has racked up more 645,000 likes since its upload last night.

Landing on the post with glee, one follower wrote: "Talk about a glow up" while another added: "For a split second I thought this was a pic of the kid from Stranger Things."

Ellen, we literally adore you.

Let's be honest, there's a typical Mighty Boosh viewer, and there's a typical Great British Bake Off viewer.

And if one were so inclined to create a Venn diagram, it's highly unlikely the two would intersect… until now, that is.

With Noel Fielding as one of the new presenters on the hugely popular baking programme, it's no surprise that Mighty Boosh fans have found themselves tuning in in order to get Old Gregg's take on a Bakewell tart.

And with the latest season of GBBO kicking off last night, Twitter was, understandably, awash with viewers desperately trying to reconcile the Mighty Boosh star they know and love with the mild-mannered presenter they saw before them.

It wasn't easy, but the great viewing public managed to come up with some pretty accurate comparisons while assessing Noel's performance alongside Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig.

And here are just a selection of some of the best…

1. We all have that mate.

 2. Been there.

3. He really did.

4. Anyone noticing a pattern?

5. Maybe he is.

6. Ash, you've nailed it.

7. Don't we all?

8. Everyone did.

9. Keep 'em coming, Noel.

10. In fairness, like.

The UN Security Council has condemned North Korea's latest missile test, which saw a missile being shot over Japan.

The council have demanded that North Korea end their missile testing project.

They called the ballistic missile launch 'outrageous,' at an emergency meeting.

'The Security Council, resolute in its commitment to a denuclearised Korean Peninsula, emphasises the vital importance of immediate, concrete actions by the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) to reduce tensions in the Korean Peninsula and beyond,' the council said in a statement.

The 15-nation council have signed the statement, including Russia and China.

'The Security Council stresses that these DPRK actions are not just a threat to the region, but to all UN member states.'

'It is time for North Korea to recognise the danger they are putting themselves in,' US ambassador, Nikki Haley, said, according to Reuters.

Paris Jackson has paid an emotional tribute to her late father, Michael Jackson, on what would have been his 59th birthday, admitting she would never “feel love again” the way she did with him.

The 19-year-old took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of her giving her father a kiss as a child.

The heartfelt caption read: “Birthday wishes to the love of my life, the one person who showed me what passion truly was, the one that gave me solid morals to live by and how to dream.”

“I will never feel love again the way i did with you. you are always with me and i am always with you. though i am not you, and you are not me, i know with all of my being that we are one. and our souls will never change in that way.”

“Thank you for the magic, forever and always,” she concluded.

Music fans across the globe have also been paying tribute to the late singer.

Paris was just 11-years-old when her father died of cardiac arrest in June 2009.

Since then Paris has become a celebrity in her own right and even presented an award at last Sunday's VMAs.

While on stage, the political activist urged viewers to rise against “Nazi white supremacist jerks” following the Charlottesville violence.

“If we were to all put our voices together, do you realise the difference we would make?”

From Niall Horan to Conor McGregor, the men of Ireland are having a bit of a moment and now it looks like our very own Ciaran Clark has got himself a rather unsuspected admirer.

It seems the Irish international footballer has caught the eye of none other than US celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton.

Famous for his online gossip and drama inducing revelations, Perez took to his personal Twitter and Instagram accounts to share a photo of Ciaran in action.

“One of my favorite ballers!! #CiaranClark #MancrushMonday,” he wrote.

We're not going to argue, the man's got good taste.

We just weren't aware he was such a big football fan – and a Newcastle supporter at that.

One fan was quick to point out that the football star no longer dons the Aston Villa jersey, though he did provide a more recent photo and encouraged Perez to "swoon away"

Either way, we're sure Ciaran was only delighted to receive the compliment.
