After living the vast majority of her life as a Scientologist, popular actress, Leah Remini, left the controversial church in 2013.

Following this decision, which has made countless headlines over the course of the last four years, Leah has dedicated a large portion of her life to speaking out against the so-called religion.

From presenting and producing documentary series, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, to penning an autobiography detailing her time in the church, the 40-year-old star has been more than candid about her experiences.

And with many high-profile names still affiliated with the religion, it's no surprise that the King of Queens actress is often grilled on the effect her departure has had on previous relationships.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Leah revealed that her former friend and current Scientologist, Elisabeth Moss, is forbidden from speaking to her on account of the organisation's doctrines.

"Elisabeth believes that she can't talk to me," Leah said. "There's a thing in Scientology called 'acceptable truth.' It means you only say what's acceptable to the public.”

"Moss believes that I'm an antisocial personality, because I've spoken out against Scientology," she added. "So she isn't allowed to talk to me.“

Leah, who became part of the organisation at the age of eight, insists she understands the predicament The Handmaid's Tale star finds herself in, adding: “And me knowing that, I wouldn't put her in the awkward position."

While Leah understands Elisabeth's compulsion to adhere to the organisation's doctrines, the actress refuses to pussyfoot around her impression of her former church.

“I don't hold anything against Elisabeth Moss other than she's continuing to support a group that is abusive and destroying families," Leah continued. "That's for her to learn, just as I needed to learn it."

Elisabeth refuses to discuss her fate during interviews, aside from saying she has benefited hugely from its teachings.

Minister for Equality, Charlie Flanagan has said he wants to see progress on the gender pay gap issue across all sectors of society and stated the problem is “much bigger than RTÉ.”

It's been estimated that men earn on average 14 per cent more than women in Ireland, a figure Mr Flanagan said was “too high”, adding: “I want that narrowed.”

He made the comments at the launch of a consultation process in which members of the public were invited to take part.

Employers, educational institutions, trade unions and members of the public will now have six weeks to make submissions on what can be done to tackle the situation.

The issues came under the spotlight after the BBC published a list of its highest earners, most of whom were men.

RTÉ then followed suit by revealing the pay details of its top 10 highest earners for 2015.

Only three women made the list – Miriam O'Callaghan, Marian Finucane and Claire Byrne.

Mr Flanagan said he eager to hear the public's opinion and invited RTÉ to participate in the process: "I invite RTÉ and all other stakeholders to participate in what can be an exciting endeavour as we move towards the equality agenda and narrowing the gap that I've said is far too broad."

The National Transport Authority will this morning announce a new operator for 10 per cent of Dublin Bus routes.

It's understood that Luas operator Transdev, a number of British companies and Dublin Bus itself have applied for the franchise.

The 23 routes in question all serve suburbs in the greater Dublin area and do not go into the city centre. They include the 185 (Bray – Newtownmountkennedy), the 75 (Dún Laoghaire – Tallaght) and the 220 (Ballymun to Mulhuddart).

Some fear the move may lead to privatisation of some services, however, the NTA have denied this saying that the authority would still own the bus fleet and revenue, but would pay an external operator to run the routes.

Whoever wins the franchise will have to maintain existing bus services and no Dublin Bus employees will face redundancy.

Stephanie Davis has taken to Instagram to share some tragic news with her fans and followers.

According to a post uploaded tonight, the 24-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant has suffered a miscarriage of her second pregnancy with Jeremy McConnell.

Stephanie has put the miscarriage down to stress which she feels was caused by Jeremy's treatment towards her, and graphically said that he 'killed' their unborn child.

A post shared by(@stephaniedavis88) on

'To lose a child is something I hope no one EVER goes through. The grief and pain is UNBELIEVABLE . Words CANNOT describe. My heart is BROKEN,' she begins the heartfelt post.

'I lost my baby due to the stress Jeremy put me under, history repeating its self after carrying Caben alone for 9 months while he goes out with women and partying and posting pictures on purpose when I was in hospital and nearly lost Caben on several occasions.'

'How evil someone can be to the mother of their child with revenge porn etc the list goes on, hitting me and setting up paps to take pictures of him on date whilst I'm carrying his child…. cheating on me and treating me like I'm not even human I have No words! Evil. He ruined my life and killed our child!'

A post shared by(@stephaniedavis88) on

Stephanie goes on to make a series of accusations about Jeremy's pastimes, which according to Stephanie's list are allegedly dubious.

'For that I can never forgive him!! He knew I was pregnant and has never ONCE again asked about his unborn child OR asked how Caben is, he's been to busy out on benders and spending money on drink and drugs and getting women to lick his nipples.'

She also claims that he has not contributed financially to their son's life: 'He's not paid ANYTHING towards Caben since he was born. He doesn't care about his child, he was simply a trophy child to him.'

Referencing the recent court hearing, during which Jeremy was found guilty of assaulting Stephanie, she said: 'He was found guilty, for a reason. He destroyed my life and took away my happiness, and if anything comes from me being in the public eye and some saddo selling videos of me for a bit of cash when someone's at there lowest says more about them than me.'

'I hope to help women of domestic violence, to stop what happened to me to other women.

A post shared by I AM JEREMY (@jeremymcconnellcooke) on

'I would like to Grieve for my child, find strength and move on. I walked into that court with my head held high after he laughed and goaded me, and I continue to be strong, be a good mum to my son and if ANYTHING has come from my horrific ordeal, to help those who have been in my shoes and help give them the hope, that there is light at the end.'

'I don't know HOW I'm standing, but I am. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! I will NEVER again be treated the way I was.

'Thank you to domestic violence for helping me and building me back up. It may seem mad what's in the press and a lot not 100% true about me, to deal with it in real life and in the public eye has been soul destroying, but thankfully I'm here to tell the tale. Mummy Loves u little one,' she finished.

It has been six years since the world lost a musical icon in the form of Amy Winehouse.

The unique, poignant, and infinitely talented woman had her life cut short, and has been missed by the music community, and the public at large, ever since.

Russell Brand has penned a touching tribute to the late star on his website, and his words are both moving and refreshingly real.

A post shared by Amy Winehouse Ⓜ (@_amy.winehouse) on

'I’ve known Amy Winehouse for years,' he begins his anecdotal tribute

When I first met her around Camden she was just some twit in a pink satin jacket shuffling round bars with mutual friends, most of whom were in cool indie bands or peripheral Camden figures Withnail-ing their way through life on impotent charisma.'

He begins his tribute by making reference to his own past of drug taking.

'I was myself at that time barely out of rehab and was thirstily seeking less complicated women so I barely reflected on the now glaringly obvious fact that Winehouse and I shared an affliction, the disease of addiction.'

'All addicts, regardless of the substance or their social status share a consistent and obvious symptom; they’re not quite present when you talk to them.'

'They communicate to you through a barely discernible but unignorable veil,' he wrote

A post shared by Amy Winehouse Ⓜ (@_amy.winehouse) on

He spoke of his awe of Amy and her great and undeniable talent.

'The awe that envelops when witnessing a genius. From her oddly dainty presence that voice, a voice that seemed not to come from her but from somewhere beyond even Billie and Ella, from the font of all greatness.'

'A voice that was filled with such power and pain that it was at once entirely human yet laced with the divine.'

A post shared by PUNKOIHARDCORE (@punkoihardcore) on

'My ears, my mouth, my heart and mind all instantly opened.'

'We have lost a beautiful and talented woman to this disease.'

Brand finished his tribute by addressing the way in which society, health services and the government deals with addiction.

'We need to review the way society treats addicts, not as criminals but as sick people in need of care,' he said, ending his call to action

Vogue is celebrating its 125 Anniversary this September issues, and they're doing it in typical Vogue fashion.

The fashion bible chose actress Jennifer Lawrence to grace the cover of this collectors edition of the magazine, but they didn't just settle for one cover, oh no.

They opted for not one, but four separate covers to celebrate the big occasion, and J-Law looks divine in each.

A post shared by Vogue (@voguemagazine) on

The four covers are remarkably different, with a completely different look.

The first sees Jennifer lounging against a boat railing looking out at the NYC skyline in a red silky floor length gown. Casual.

The Statue of Liberty can be seen in the background as Jennifer epitomises the magazine's theme of 'American beuaty.'

A post shared by Vogue (@voguemagazine) on

The next cover is startlingly unique.

The cover was painted by esteemed artist John Cumin, after Jennifer posed for him in his studio, pink fluffy hat and all.

'He took photos, and posed me like one of those French girls,' she told Vogue.

The third cover sees Jennifer lloking like an extra from Dream Girls, in a dramatic Versace mini dress.

Posing against a stark background, Jennifer's stunning looks speak volumes.

The fourth is shot in classic black and white.

All four covers are so different, if you pick up this month's edition of Vogue, which will you choose?

5 Ways to Accessorize Pearl Jewelry with your Wedding Dress

Pearls and wedding dresses are a match made in Heaven – or at least this is what ancient Greeks thought. Our ancestors believed that wearing pearls on your wedding day will bring good fortune, loyalty, prosperity, stability, and we tend to believe them. After all, what other natural gems look more delicate, more feminine, more elegant and shining than veritable pearls?

Today we will talk about five different methods to accessorize pearl jewelry with your wedding dress, leaning you in on a secret: no matter what style, type, and color of the dress you choose, you will undoubtedly find pearl jewelry that matches it and enhances your beauty. Also, remember that not all pearls are white and that they are so incredibly versatile, you can wear them any way you like!

Are you ready for a glamorous “wedding of the year” look?

1.      A Multi-Strand Pearl Necklace for a Flowy Boho Dress

Flowy boho wedding dresses in simple, yet feminine cuts, work best with similar flowy, loose, deconstructed pearl necklaces.

When you go out to buy a real pearl necklace for your upcoming wedding, you should look for a multiple-strand one. Such a deconstructed natural pearl necklace features natural pearls in various sizes and shapes, set in a delicate design that creates the illusion that the pearls float around your neck. If you want a bit of glamorous shine for your boho look, pick a baroque necklace with colored gems inserted here and there: pink, champagne, or gold.

Another tip, when you match the pearls’ white with the dress’s white, would be to make sure the nuances match. Go ivory for ivory and crisp white for crisp white to avoid any nuance clash between the dress and the jewelry.

Moreover, for such a fairytale-like boho bridal attire, consider small diamonds as well (the earrings or the wedding ring) to add the exact amount of shiny glam your look needs to make the difference between a rustic wedding and a boho one.

2. A Pearl Feathery Hairpiece for a Retro Wedding

Source: Deposit Photos

We love retro wedding themes and vintage wedding dresses, as it is already obvious for everyone, so we will, of course, favor all the pearl accessories that can complete and compliment a retro-style bridal outfit.

Pearls and feathers have something surreal to them when they blend in the same bridal accessory. Call it the Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, call it the Great Gatsby Glam, or the Tune of the Sixties – it does not matter. Such a feather-and-pearls headpiece (with or without a veil) is something to die for if you plan a retro wedding party with a retro wedding dress.

3. The Illusion Bridal Set with Diamonds for the Glam Wedding

Source: Deposit Photos

You want to look like a queen on your wedding day, and this is precisely what happens when you pick an illusion bridal set. The “illusion” is a new design style in pearl jewelry these days that makes pearls look like they are loose against your skin.

A blend of white pearls and diamonds in a designer’s necklace around your beautiful neck is probably the most fabulous thing people saw since Princess Diana’s 11-strand ruby pearl necklace.

An illusion-style bridal pearl set is an excellent choice for a fabulous dress and hairdo. First of all, if the gown is strapless, the illusion becomes flawless.

Secondly, if you intend to wear your long hair in a complicated updo, get your hands on the matching illusion pearl and diamond earrings for an unforgettable effect.

The diamond pins in your hair will complete the look, and you will need no other accessories, because the pearls will steal the show.

4. The Oversized Glam Earrings for the No-Nonsense Bride

Source: Pinterest

Some wedding dresses come with a sweet mix of modern and retro for women who love straight and straightforward cuts, soft lines, and no bridal pizzazz whatsoever. However, such a dress can look rather simple if you do not pump up the volume with some fantastic pearl jewelry.

If you were worried about the newer pearl earrings designs, do not be. They are not all flowery and girly, going against your sweet tomboy attitude. In other words, you are free to pick a white dress looking like a business suit as long as you add the wedding glam in the shape of postmodern, chunky, and fabulous pearl earrings.

You cannot go wrong with some designers’ creations, as they mix pearls, metals, and beads in unique shapes and colors. And, because we know you are the type of practical, no-nonsense girl, rest assured: your bridal earrings will make exquisite jewelry for anything casual, formal, or glamorous you will wear from this point on.

5. The Massive Statement Pearl Necklace of the Postmodern Bride

Source: Pexels

Did we mention that pearls do not come only in shades of white and ivory? We did. Let us put this example to good work. Some bridal pearl necklaces have nothing of the discrete feminine suppleness of your mother’s pearl strand. Oh, no!

Some new designs feature chunky oversized pearls (South Sea and Freshwater are the sizeable ones) in a multitude of glamorous and statement-like colors: white, South Sea golden and South Sea silver pearls, all in the company of chunky ghetto golden or silver chains.

For such an outstanding piece, you only need a strapless wedding dress and an updo. Leave everything else to the necklace, as it will make you shine bright like a movie star on her way to getting the Oscar statue.

Such a piece – being massive and flashy – does not need further styling or adorning. You can wear your wedding band and call it THE DAY.

Conclusion

The moment you get your hands on natural pearl jewellery, the world is your oyster. You can comfortably wear some pearl pieces with casual, business, or street-smart outfits for the rest of your life without the pearls looking boring or outdated for a second! Remember that pearls are making a huge comeback and all you need is a bridal piece or set to build your look around them.

Body shaming can happen to women of any size or shape, and can happen on a public platform when you work in Hollywood.

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz has spoken out about her firsthand experience with having her physique criticised, and at a seriously young age.

Chloe spoke to Variety about a horrible instance of body shaming, which happened to her when she was just fifteen.

A post shared by Chloe Grace Moretz (@chloegmoretz) on

'This guy that was my love interest was like, ‘I’d never date you in real life,’ she began.

'I was, ‘What?'” she said. “And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’ – as in my size.”

He was 'one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set,' she continued, declining to name the culprit.

A post shared by Chloe Grace Moretz (@chloegmoretz) on

'I went bawling to my brother and he was like, ‘What happened?’,And I was like, ‘He told me I was too big.’ And my brother was like, ‘What just happened?’ My brother was so angry.'

'I had to pick it up and go back on set and pretend he was a love interest, and it was really hard.'

'It just makes you realise that there are some really bad people out there and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me.' she continued

A post shared by Chloe Grace Moretz (@chloegmoretz) on

'You have to kind of forgive and not forget really, but it was just like wow. It was jarring. I look back on it and I was 15, which is really, really dark.'

Chloe went on to describe another occurrence, in which she was ostracised from her film crew due to the actions of her male co-star.

'They have this inferiority issue and I’m like, ‘You are completely equal to me, you are no different than me. I just happen to be the lead in this movie, and I don’t know why just because you are kind of the smaller character that you’re pushing me into a corner to try and put me down.'”

Kudos to Chloe for speaking out on the dual issues of equality and body shaming.
