Russell Brand, 42, married long-term girlfriend, and mother of his child, Laura Gallacher, 30, in an intimate ceremony on Saturday.

According to The Sun, the couple tied the knot in front of close family and friends at Remenham Church near their home in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon.

A source close to the pair reportedly told the paper: “They wanted a very small, personal affair, with their daughter Mabel, family and close friends rather than a circus. It was a lovely occasion. Mabel was guest of honour.”

Guests at the service included Noel Gallagher, Jonathan Ross and Laura's presenter sister, Kirsty Gallacher.

Russell is said to have spent £2,300 to hire a New Orleans paddle steamer to transport guests to an Indian-themed wedding reception.

The pair, who have known each other since 2007, began their romantic relationship in 2015 and welcomed their daughter, Mabel, in November 2016.

The British comedian famously married singer, Katy Perry, in 2010, however their relationship quickly broke down leading to a speedy divorce in July 2012.

Once know for his womanizing ways, Russell has been keeping a low profile since becoming a father for the first time.

Previously speaking of fatherhood, Russell said: “It’s the most wonderful thing. To have something outside of yourself that’s more important than you. Other than West Ham United.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Leo Varadkar has said he intends to ask the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, to allow Ibrahim Halawa to return to Ireland after his trial on Monday.

The Taoiseach is due to speak with the Egyptian leader on the phone tomorrow, and has said that it is his, “hope and expectation that once the trail is over he will be sent home to Ireland.”

At just 21-years-old, the Dublin native has been in prison in Egypt since 2013 after he was arrested during a political demonstration in Cairo.

Speaking to RTÉ News, Varadkar admitted he is wary about raising expectations but insisted “the government cares a lot about this case.”

Ibrahim's sister, Nosayba, says her brother has high hopes for the coming days.

"My brother was visiting him today and I spoke with my brother and he said Ibrahim's hopes were very very high," she said.

"I hope what we hear on Monday meets our expectation."

After months of hype, numerous press conferences and a catalogue of McGregor one-liners that are sure to be repeated in Irish pubs for years to come, one of most highly anticipated fights in boxing history took place in the early hours of this morning.

Boxing and MMA fans across the globe joined forces to revel is the mega money sporting event that saw an undefeated Floyd Mayweather take on Conor McGregor in the ring.

Although Mayweather cemented his legacy as on of the greatest boxers of all time after winning by TKO in the 10th round, Twitter praised both fighters for the mutual respect they showed after the stoppage, and though some fans were left disappointed by the final result, it seems like everyone enjoyed watching.

Body positivity is a key element to loving the skin you are in.

Oftentimes, despite our best intentions, we can be extremely harsh on ourselves over the most minute cellulite dimple or tummy roll, no matter what size we are.

From the smallest size zero babe to the curviest Rubenesque creature, it's important to remember to embrace the body you live in, and not get hung up on the little things you perceive to be your flaws.

Plus size activist @glitterandlazers often finds herself at the receiving end of hurtful fat shaming online, but she recently penned an Instagram post sharing why she feels it is important to respect the skin you are in.

'Carpe freakin diem. It's a tough world. In a society where even the thinnest of thin can find their rolls and focus on their cellulite… how's a big girl supposed to ignore them,' she begins.

'The fact is, she doesn't. She owns them. She recognizes them as a part of who she is. We need less images that shame these folds, crease and bumps on our body.'

A post shared by Glitter (@glitterandlazers) on

'The images that celebrate accepting them as something akin to winning the noble peace prize. What if we just stopped attaching shame to them?'

'What if we stopped trying to make sure everyone knew they existed. What if we stopped hunching and pinching and squeezing to show it, and our acceptance of it, off.'

'What if instead we just fu***** lived, in whatever shape our body takes to be alive?'

Girl, please take a bow.

If you have been looking for your daily dose of amazing things on the internet, then settle back my friend, you have arrived.

Catcalling is one of those infuriating and sometimes terrifying components of the female experience that we would rather not have to deal with.

Do you ignore them? Yell at them to go away?

Author Zoë Quinn, or UnburntWitch on Twitter, had a slightly creepier and ultimately epic response to one street harasser.

While out one day after dental surgery, one man decided he needed to catcall Zoe, who was minding her own business.

Rather than ignore him, Zoe looked decided to open her mouth and allow a measure of post-surgery blood dribble from her mouth like she was some kind of demonic creature from the underworld.

We think it's pretty safe to say the guy probably thought twice about catcalling a woman again.

'Don't hassle someone who has three of their own back teeth in their pocket at the moment' she continued in another Tweet.

BRB, we're literally crying with laughter.

As the world gears up for one of the most hotly anticipated fights in history, Irish fans have been paying homage to their MMA-turned-boxing hero.

Conor McGregor is set go go head to head with Floyd Mayweather Jr tonight in Las Vegas, in his first ever professional boxing match.

Fans all over the world have taken to social media to show their support, but closer to home, a stunning tribute has been made in honour of the fight.

This glorious mural just went up in Temple Bar, Dublin, immortalising the fight through the medium of street art.

Capturing the essence of the fight, the mural shows McGregor and Mayweather raring to go.

McGregor can be seen making a face of aggression, a now classic McGregor trait.

The mural is spray painted onto a swathe of cling film, wrapped taunt between two poles.

We're dying to watch the fight tonight, and this mural is an epic reminder.

The rental crisis has been out of hand for months now, but this latest listing proves that in Dublin, things are far beyond a crisis point.

A property on Grove Road, Rathmines appeared on Daft.ie, and quickly garnered plenty of attention on social media due to the sheer, insulting ridiculousness that it entails.

The property (if you can call it that) is listed as a double bed studio apartment, but there is a major catch.

For the low low price of €650 per month, you can find out the hard way how much you really roll around at night by sleeping on this mattress perched atop a wardrobe.

Oh, and you can see how resilient your ankles are by slipping down a step ladder each morning when descending from your sleeping shelf.

Twitter user Pete Kavanagh uploaded the snaps to the social media site with a very apt message.

'€650 a month for a single mattress on top of a wardrobe with access only by stepladder.'

'But yeah, avocados and entitlement. Totally.'

The property has since been removed from Daft,ie, either because it has been rented or the site removed it.

We sincerely hope it's the latter.

Not everyone was impressed with the chosen monikers of Rumi and Sir, but now we have an explanation as to where they got their unique names.

In a new interview, with Rap Radar, Jay-Z has revealed exactly why those names were chosen for his baby son and daughter.

'Rumi is our favourite poet, so it was for our daughter,' he told the mag.

This name was chosen in reference to 13th century Persian poet Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi.

However, Sir's name came about in a pretty different manner.

'Sir was like, man, come out the gate.'

He carries himself like that. He just came out like, Sir,' Jay-Z explained.

An attempted knife attack in Brussels was prevented last night after the suspect was shot by the soldiers he attempted to attack.

The attacker later died in hospital due to his injuries.

The two soldiers who were attacked received superficial wounds.

Belgium's federal prosecutors have said that they are treating the event as 'an attempted terrorist murder.'

The 30-year-old attacker reportedly shouted 'Allahu Akbar' twice during the attack, according to a spokesperson for the federal prosecutor.

'All our support is with our soldiers,' tweeted Prime Minister Charles Michel.
