In response to a campaign led by Central Scotland Labour MSP, Monica Lennon, it has been announced that Glasgow Airport will be providing their passengers with sanitary products, free of charge.

Monica's campaign to end period poverty has been supported by authorities at the Scottish airport, who will be leaving free tampons and pads in toilets within the main check-in hall and in arrival halls.

Commenting on the progressive move, Glasgow Airport managing director, Amanda McMillan, explained that a meeting with Monica Lennon earlier this year led to the decision.

"We met with Monica earlier this year and she highlighted the need to address what is a real issue for many women."

"Millions of passengers travel through our doors on an annual basis and this trial will ensure that our female customers have access to these essential products."

Commending the airport's move, Monica reiterated the importance of the campaign, and the impact it has on those in need.

"Providing free sanitary products at the airport sends out a strong message that periods are normal and I know this will be appreciated by passengers" she asserted.

"Getting your period can happen unexpectedly and often at inopportune times – at work, at school, and when you’re travelling," she continued.

"No-one should have to go without access to vital sanitary products, so it’s great that Glasgow Airport are leading by example on this issue so it's great that Glasgow Airport are leading by example on this issue."

When we heard that Life of Kylie was going to be an actual thing, we instantly wondered if model sis Kendall would ever do her own show.

We can see it now – behind the scenes at Paris Fashion Week, hobnobbing with Gigi and Bella, and generally living the jet set model life.

However, momager Kris put a swift end to our dreams in a recent Variety interview.

A post shared by Kendall (@kendalljenner) on

'No,' she replied straight up when asked if Kendall was planning a show of her own.

'Kendall is really satisfied on her role in KUWTK.'

'With her modelling career she's so busy,' Kris continued.

A post shared by Kendall (@kendalljenner) on

'If she's not walking a runway, she's shooting a campaign or travelling around the world with her fashion obligations.'

'She's a pretty busy little girl.'

Maybe the sisters could have a joint spin-off, much like Khloe and Kourtney.

Kylie and Kendall take Calabasas perhaps?

Niall Horan was once a part of arguably one of the most successful boy bands of our time.

However, the Mullingar native has told Shortlist magazine that while he may be one of the music industry's most famous faces, he doesn't feel conspicuous in his home town.

'No one blows smoke up my arse back home,' the told the mag.

The pop star went on to describe a trip to NYC he took with his pals from the Emerald Isle.

'Sixteen of us went to New York for St Paddy’s day last year, dressed in green Irish suits and face paint.'

'We looked like a load of d***heads, running around the place.'

'It was such a good laugh. Nobody recognised me, nobody gave a s***.'

He also added that while in London, people don't really pay too much attention to him in public either.

A post shared by Niall Horan (@niallhoran) on

'In London, people don’t really pay attention to me – in a good way,' he told Shortlist.

'I’m not saying everyone should know who I am, but I go on the Tube, or walk down the street, absolutely no problem.'

'I went to Chelsea vs Tottenham at Wembley, and got the Tube there with the Chelsea fans. Nothing. Londoners are in their own little world, aren’t they?'

Despite being caught up in the midst of a major flight cancellation debacle, Ryanair seems adamant on maintaining its place as one of the most competitive airlines when it comes to price.

The airline, who has until 5pm today to refund the cancellations from its UK flights, has announced yet another massive seat sale.

Ryanair promises discounts on over one million seats to various European destinations.

Most of the fares are under €10.00, a fraction of the cost on any other airline.

Paris, Cologne, London, Ibiza and Manchester are all included in the sale.

To be in with a chance of securing these sweet deals, you have to book by Sunday, October 1.

The travel period is from October 2017 to February 2018.

Twitter has been pretty harsh in their response to the seat sale, with many questioning whether any of the flights will go ahead due to recent mass cancellations.

The 6th and hopefully last March for Choice is happening in Dublin this Saturday.

It is set to be one of the biggest demonstrations to the government that the country would like to fully repeal the 8th amendment, rather than a conservative change, and proper legislation on the subject in Northern Ireland.

Ireland's capital has been chosen at the venue, so the demonstration can march on Dáil Éireann.

If you don't hail from Dublin and don't know how you'll get up here to protest, then never fear.

A number of localised Pro-choice groups have organised transport straight to the march from various locations around the country.

Here is an extensive list of all of the pick up points around the country, as laid out by Jantien Schoenmaker on Twitter.

For anyone with direct experience of disordered eating, they will know that the media's portrayal of the various conditions aren't always an accurate reflection of the lived reality.

But for many of us whose understanding of anorexia and bulimia is born of book, movies and TV shows, it might come as a surprise to learn that a person living with an eating disorder may look no different to anyone else in our social group.

Indeed, they may spend years battling an illness – symptoms of which are invisible to their friends and family.

Making it her mission to remind the public of this, body-positive Instagram user, Carissa Seligman, shared a splitscreen shot of herself in an effort to highlight the misunderstanding around eating disorders.

The girl with the eating disorder isn't always the one who looks "scary skinny." In fact, she may not even be the thinnest in the room. But what you see on the outside doesn't always translate to what is going on inside. . . The minute I saw the photo on the left I said "oh, that was me after my eating disorder." Well that's not true. That's not even kind of true. Yes, this picture was taken AFTER I started eating again… probably the year after… but I was very much IN my eating disorder. I had gone through a 4ish month period of starving myself and surviving solely on caffeine and crackers. Then, I started eating again and could. not. stop. I felt awful. None of the things that spurred my starvation period had been solved, discovered, or discussed and I began to use food to fill a hole. So not only was I unhappy without really knowing it, BUT I was gaining weight which at the time was my worst nightmare. And I was doing anything I could to lose it again. . . I wish I could tell you that I solved it; that I found a solution and started to look and feel great VERY quickly… but that's just not true. The photo on the left was taken in 2005. Up until 2016, I was trying to get back to the weight I was during my 4 month starvation period. 11 YEARS! 11 years of having a terrible relationship with food, my body, and my mind. But it isn't like that now! I FINALLY started to develop a healthy relationship with food, which is why i wrote this. Because I really hope it doesn't take you 11 years to start to feel better. . . In 2016, a few things happened. I got serious about my career and realized that I was good at what I did. Having that, contributed to my self worth and self esteem. I stopped drinking and using alcohol as a bandaid. I was finally free to find things that brought me joy. I got back to moving, getting stronger, & feeling better. Food became an ally in my life. And now, here I am feeling and looking better than I ever have. AND I'M SO VERY GRATEFUL. . . Self love is WORK. I wish I could tell you otherwise, but I can't. There's no quick fix or simple solution. The inside has to be good before the outside will be anything you can love.

"The girl with the eating disorder isn't always the one who looks "scary skinny." In fact, she may not even be the thinnest in the room," she began in a post which has been liked 2,000 times.

"But what you see on the outside doesn't always translate to what is going on inside. The minute I saw the photo on the left I said "oh, that was me after my eating disorder." Well that's not true. That's not even kind of true."

Turning her attention to the photo she uploaded, Carissa, whose Instagram page now focuses on healthy eating and fitness regimes, wrote: "Yes, this picture was taken AFTER I started eating again… probably the year after… but I was very much IN my eating disorder."

"I had gone through a 4ish month period of starving myself and surviving solely on caffeine and crackers. Then, I started eating again and could. not. stop. I felt awful. Giving her followers an insight into the emotional turmoil she endured during this time, she admitted that a quick-fix was not something she landed upon.

"So not only was I unhappy without really knowing it, BUT I was gaining weight which at the time was my worst nightmare. And I was doing anything I could to lose it again. I wish I could tell you that I solved it; that I found a solution and started to look and feel great VERY quickly… but that's just not true."

"The photo on the left was taken in 2005. Up until 2016, I was trying to get back to the weight I was during my 4 month starvation period."

Hammering home the poignancy of her mission at the time, Carissa continued: "11 YEARS! 11 years of having a terrible relationship with food, my body, and my mind."

"But it isn't like that now! I FINALLY started to develop a healthy relationship with food, which is why I wrote this. Because I really hope it doesn't take you 11 years to start to feel better."

"In 2016, a few things happened. I got serious about my career and realized that I was good at what I did. Having that, contributed to my self worth and self esteem. I stopped drinking and using alcohol as a band aid."

I share some dark, personal, ugly stuff on this page. I think it's therapeutic for me… soooo here we go … This is a difficult story to say briefly because alcohol played one of the main characters in my story for most of my 20s. We had a BAD relationship, but I didn't acknowledge that for a long time. There was a tailgate, or a party, or a break up, or the wrong kind of alcohol, or the RIGHT kind of alcohol… you get it… there was always an excuse. I wish I could tell you every detail, but IG wouldn't allow it and my lil fingers would probably break off before I finished typing … . . So let me tell you the state of things in the photo on the left. I drank everyday; wine on weeknights because you know that's "classy" and "grown up" and "normal." I drank who knows what on weekends. I also had started following the BBG program so I was working out 5 days/week. Some mornings I was hungover. Some days I just couldn't make it happen… but I was actually pretty consistent. Unfortunately, I was calorie counting and saving about 800/ day for wine yup, those sugar calories made up half my daily intakeNeedless to say, I didn't feel awesome and what I was doing was in no way shape or form maintainable… or healthy. My body finally said "no more!" And my brain had no choice but to listen. . . In the photo on the right, I have not had a sip of alcohol in 15+ months. It was a BIG adjustment as first: nervous energy, difficulty sitting still, MASSIVE sugar cravings …. those were new things I learned to deal with or work through. But I got so much more than I gave up. I learned what does feel good for my body. I found balance and motivation and positivity in a whole new lifestyle and community. I can go to a bar and just enjoy being around the people I'm with… but alcohol is no longer part of my storyline. . . Maybe it's not alcohol… maybe something else is holding you back from the thing or the life you want most. What is it? Can you get rid of it? Will you? Why don't you?

"I was finally free to find things that brought me joy. I got back to moving, getting stronger, & feeling better. Food became an ally in my life. And now, here I am feeling and looking better than I ever have. AND I'M SO VERY GRATEFUL."

Reaching out to anyone who is currently in a similar position, Carissa admits the journey back to health is far from easy, but undeniably worth it.

"Self love is WORK. I wish I could tell you otherwise, but I can't. There's no quick fix or simple solution. The inside has to be good before the outside will be anything you can love."

The post has been inundated with comments from followers paying tribute to Carissa's courage and honesty before offering an insight into their own experiences.

"Thank you for posting this. I suffer from Anorexia and am slowly recovering," wrote one social media user.

"I don't "look" like it though…and a lot of people are like "why don't you just eat more?" When…they don't get it because I don't "look" sick enough. I'm still battling with food and my relationship with it, but this was inspiring to see. I'm glad I did."

Bella Thorne is known for having a seriously toned physique, but the actress has revealed that she has her own insecurities when it comes to her body.

The 19-year-old stripped down for a nude shoot in GQ, and took to Instagram to share the image, along with a few words about how she feels about her body.

'I specifically asked for no re touching on this photo, and lemme tell you I have insecurities, about pretty much everything.' (sic)

A post shared by BELLA (@bellathorne) on

'That's natural & that's human. You might look at this photo and think oh shush Bella, but just know every time someone looks in the mirror they simply don't see what everyone else sees.'

'Know that it's completely normal to feel insecure and it's accepted. Honestly I wish everyone talked more about their insecurities so more people in the world could know they aren't alone,' she said.

'That it's ok. As a public persona you know naturally that every time you shoot with a magazine there is always small retouching.'

'But f*** it I'm here to tell you that's right I'm not F****** PERFECT. IM A HUMAN BEING AND IM REAL. So hip hop your asses over the fence and GET OVER IT,' she finished.

Hear, hear, Bella!

When we think of grabbing our everyday essentials, our phone, Leap Card and purse usually top the list.

However, there is one other thing you should be taking before you head out for work everyday.

We all know that sometime’s it’s not always the easiest to squeeze in every last vitamin and mineral we need into our bodies through our diets, so taking a supplement or two can definitely help.

There are things like Iron, Vitamin B12 and fish oil capsules who get all the glory, but Folic Acid is another essential for women – even those without child.

Folic acid is a vitamin that is essential for everyone’s health, and women especially need extra during early pregnancy.

It is a B vitamin called vitamin B9, which is important for the development and maintenance of new cells within the body.

Folic acid isn’t stored in the body so you need to take it every day, pregnant or not.

If you are planning on making a baby any time soon, then this is important information, as taking folic acid can help prevent certain birth defects of the brain and spinal cord like Spina Bifida.

Up to 70 per cent of these types of defects could be prevented by taking folic acid.

However, even if you are not planning on having a baby, you never know what life has in store, so it could be an idea to start taking it now ahead of time.

According to SafeFood research, up to half of all pregnancies are unplanned, and you may not even realise you’re pregnant in the first few weeks, which is when your baby’s brain and spine are developing.

And if you’re really really not planning on having kids, Folic Acid can still benefit you by assisting in the creation of your red blood cells to provide energy.

There are a number of food sources which contain Folic Acid, but a supplement is the ideal way to bump up your levels. It’s a win win, really.
