Met Éireann have issued two separate weather warnings as heavy showers and strong winds are set expected to batter the country's west coast today.

A status yellow rainfall warning is in place for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, while a status yellow wind warning is also in place for these counties, as well as Clare, Cork and Kerry.

The warnings will remain in place until tomorrow morning and weather chiefs have said that accumulations of 30 to 50 mm are expected.

A developing low pressure system in the Atlantic will result in wind speeds of up to 65km/h are expected, with gusts of up to 110km/h.

The outlook is not much better for other parts of the country, with scattered showers due to become more persistent by evening time as well as strong southwesterly winds. Top temperatures of 16 to 17 degrees.

Tomorrow will be cool and blustery, though it's thought most showers will become isolated by evening. Top temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.

Well, that's summer well and truly over anyway. Sigh.

A source came forward last week to tell the world that Kim and Kanye are expecting baby number three.

A source close to the couple told People that the couple will be extending their family via surrogate.

They told the mag that the surrogate is pregnant and expecting to deliver a new member of the Kardashian-West clan in 2018.

Of course Kim and Kanye have seen the rumours and reports, and while they have not officially released a statement regarding the issue, Kim did comment on the news at New York Fashion Week

'I've definitely seen a lot of things, we've never confirmed anything,' she told E! News last night.

'So, I think when we're ready to talk about it we will, and I think it's super invasive when people are just… So many details out there, and like I've never heard this, I've never heard this.'

'Like whatever. We have not confirmed it, and that's that. I'll let you know when we're ready.'

So that is neaither a denial or a confirmation.

Perhaps the pair are biding their time to make an official announcement.

Unless you have been living under a social media-proof rock these days, you may have noticed that Gucci is having a major moment.

From bee-embellished everything to the Dionysus and the Marmont, the designer label has never been more popular on the red carpet and Instagram alike.

Unfortunately, the high end look comes with a high end price tag, but Penneys is stepping in with some Gucci-esque pieces for a fraction of the luxury price.

Penneys knocked it out of the park with their gold link belt last season, which sold out across the country.

Now, the high street haven is back with a new version in time for A/W.

Much like the new season Gucci double G belt, this edition is studded with stunning pearls.

Penneys belt €4.00

However unlike the Gucci version, which costs over €1000 (seriously, for a belt) this one will give you change back from a fiver.

From sprucing up a ruffled dress to adding a touch of femininity to jeans and a t-shirt, this belt will be serving looks well into winter time.

Elbows at the ready, we'll see you in Penneys.

A young girl who was injured in the Manchester bombing has described how she felt when she returned to the MEN arena for the first time.

Millie Robson, 15, was attending an Ariana Grande concert on May 22 with her best friend Laura Anderson when suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated an explosive in the foyer.

Despite being left with shrapnel and bolts in her leg, the brave teen made the courageous decision to return to the scene for the first time on Thursday.

'Today was one of the toughest of my life. Revisiting Manchester arena and seeing the place where my life changed forever is something I couldn't even think about doing a few months ago,' the brave teen said in an emotional post on Instagram.

'Nevertheless, today surrounded by my family and best friend we allowed ourselves to gain closure from the difficult visit and truly showed me and Laura how lucky we were that night. Life is so precious and shouldn't be taken for granted. Ever.'

She encourages others who were victims of the attack to visit the arena also. 'It was of course very hard but I’m so proud of myself for doing it,' she said on Twitter.

When the bomb went off, Millie and her friend Laura used their handbags and jumpers as makeshift tourniquets to stem the bleeding from injuries to Millie’s legs after the explosion.

The selfless teens directed paramedics past them to victims who they believed were more seriously hurt.

After the bombing, Millie met the Queen when she visited the young victims in hospital.

Millie told the Queen how she had met the pop star backstage before the event after winning VIP passes in a competition.

After the concert, she headed to the arena exit to meet her father, David when the bomb was detonated.

The Queen turned to Millie’s father commenting: “It's not something you expect at all” and described the attack as 'very alarming'.

Millie described meeting the Queen as “surreal”. She also met her idol Ariana Grande again at the One Love concert.

Imagine that you are working in some of the best restaurants in the country, and your job is to come up with the most delicious ideas for desserts: that is the life of Aoife Noonan.

Previously Head Pastry Chef for the Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, the 28 year-old Dubliner is now Executive Pastry Chef at SMS Luna

While we feel jealous that she gets to try all these delicious cakes and desserts, we also wondered how she manages to stay in shape.

Her secret? You might have guessed: she doesn't eat cake all day.

What is your typical weekday breakfast?

I always make the time to have a good breakfast. I start the day with a huge glass of water, then coffee, and usually eggs.

I love eating vegetables for breakfast, a favourite would be roasted beetroots, poached eggs, greens; usually kale or rocket, tomatoes and romesco sauce. So tasty!

Otherwise it's soaked oats or porridge with a mountain of various toppings like berries, nuts and seeds if I'm not feeling the eggs.

What about lunch?

Working in a kitchen all day means sometimes lunch is forgotten. I get peckish and start to pick at things otherwise, so a lot of the time I bring lunch with me.

I meal prep a few bits and pieces throughout the week so I always have things to throw together for lunch.

I love prepping lots of roast vegetables, sweet potato, squash, peppers, then have them in the fridge ready to go into a salad with chicken, tuna or chickpeas with some greens.

As a pastry chef, how do you manage to keep in shape?

I train in the gym four times a week. Being on my feet all day obviously ensures I stay active.

Eating well is so important and contributes massively to a healthy lifestyle.

Do you eat cakes and sweets on a daily basis?

Believe it or not, many are surprised to find I don't gorge on sweets all day! Being a pastry chef means I'm constantly developing, creating, and tasting, all day every day. It's my profession.

But I love savoury food and will choose savoury over sweet out of work. Obviously I have a sweet tooth or else I wouldn't do it for a living.

What do you usually have for dinner?

Dinner during the week is usually fairly simple, if I go to the gym in the evening it needs to be something quick to prepare so I can get it eaten soon after I come home.

I love chilli with brown rice and smashed avocado, or Middle Eastern spiced chicken with quinoa and hummus and lots of salad.

Is it different at the weekend?

Dinner at the weekend is much more laidback, and I can enjoy taking the time to cook. I love making a roast at the weekend, or eating out.

Unreal feed @bastible111 this afternoon Thank you @bazfitzo ! #bastible #sundaylunch

Do you snack during the day?

I try to eat every 3 to 4 hours, so I would snack on fruit; berries or melon and yoghurt, with pumpkin seeds and almonds.

I love nut butters, so eating them with something crunchy like quinoa cakes or crackers always hits the spot.

What would be your ideal food day?

Breakfast would be waffles and truffled eggs in Duck and Waffle in London.

Lunch would be a sort of Afternoon Tea/Lunch hybrid in the Ritz or the Shelbourne. Absolutely love it.

Dinner would be the tasting menu in the Ledbury in London.

Savages. #afternoontea #thewestin

The one food you could have everyday for the rest of your life?

Cheese. Obsessed.

What is your favourite dessert?

I love a simple Victoria Sponge. Soft fluffy sponge with cream and jam and a nice cup of tea, can't beat it.

What is your favourite meal of the day?

I love having a good breakfast and starting the day right. But my favourite meal of the day would have to be a long lazy lunch, like the French do.

When I lived in France I learned how much of a huge part of the culture it is. A few hours, a few courses, a few glasses of wine, good company, it's so relaxing.

Your favourite restaurant in Dublin/Ireland/the world?

My favourite restaurant in Dublin is Forest and Marcy. Ciaran is doing amazing things and every time I eat there I have an outstanding meal.

Outside of Dublin, I love the Tannery in Waterford.

One of the best meals I ever had was in Restaurant Jan in Nice, France. The chef is South African and fuses classic French with food from his native country. The combination of flavours and concepts and how he executed them were outstanding. I didn't want the meal to end.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has acknowledged that he sees the inequalities Irish women face.

The Taoiseach welcomed the Minister for Children Katherine Zappone's call for women's reproductive rights.

Ms Zappone said that Irish women would not be equal citizens until the 8th amendment was removed from the constitution.

Mr Varadkar welcomed her statements.

'The decision is we intend to have a referendum ideally in the first part of next year, and that will give the Irish people an opportunity to decide what they want to do with the Irish Constitution – because ultimately it’s only going to be a decision for the Irish people,' he said, according to The irish Times.

Mr Varadkar said that while the 8th amendment is an area which needs to be addressed, he said that women face inequality in 'lots of different fields. '

'I don’t believe Irish women are fully equal, but I think that’s about many things, not just the Constitution.'

'We see it in lots of different fields. It is an issue that I know divides households.'

There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about how the amount of sexual partners someone has had can impact their current or future relationships.

The conversation got started when a Spin 1038 listener contacted the radio show about his girlfriend, complaining that he found her number too high and asking for advice on this issue.

The comment section on the corresponding Facebook post was completely going off, with most commentators advising that the man told his girlfriend how he felt so that she could dump him for being close minded.

Some people expressed that they found the girlfriends number too high, but most pointed out that if the boyfriend had a male friend with that many sexual conquests, he would probably be getting high fives from the boyfriend, rather than being shamed.

This points out the distinct double standards that can exist when it comes to male and female sexuality, but also proves that plenty of people think that the 'number' is obsolete in todays' society.

Now, new research has arrived to back up this anecdotal evidence.

A study by DrEd found that when it comes to the number, the majority of people don't think it makes a blind bit of difference.

In fact, according to a poll of 1000 people, 52pc of men and 59pc of women held no preconceptions about the number of former partners someone had, and felt that it made no difference to the sexual encounter whatsoever.

However, 40pc of European men thought that the more partners someone had, the better the sex would be.  Only 8pc of both genders thought that the encounter would be worse due to the previous amount of sexual partners their current partner had, according to the Lying Beneath The Sheets study.

However when it comes to discussing their number, the social stigma attached to having lots of sexual partners has led some to feel shame for their sexual experiences.

18pc of European men think their number is too high, along with 30pc of women, the study found.

The study also found that women are more likely to report feeling ashamed by their sexual history 'when in reality, the physical and emotional perks of sex can benefit everyone.'

A further 30pc of women feel that their number is average.

74pc of women are honest about their previous experience, however 22pc feel pressured to undersell their number by 10 partners or more.

24pc of men also feel the need to undersell their number by 10 partners or more, so maybe we should all just be being honest about our number as it seems that roughly the same amount of men and women are underselling their number by the same amount, according to the data found in the study poll.

Despite this, people polled in the study also told researchers they 'had an idea – both a minimum and maximum – for the number of people they felt it was OK to have slept with.'

reaction arrested development eye roll eyeroll over it GIF

When probed, men in their 20s said they thought 7 people was too many for a woman to have slept with, while women thought 10 was too many for a man to have slept with.

Frankly, as long as both partners enjoyed safe and consensual sex, who the heck cares about how many people they have been with?

Perhaps it's time to shake off the social stigma and choose to be accepting of people's sexual choices, no matter how many or few they make.

New reports have said that the death toll of the earthquake, felt in Mexico City and neighbouring cities, is much higher than originally thought.

Up to 20 people have lost their lives to the quake, described as the strongest in Mexico in the last century.

The worst impacted area is the Oaxaca state, according to CNN

The 8.1-magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of southern Mexico.

The quake was so strong that it caused buildings to sway as panicked residents fled.

Social media videos show buildings and statues swaying in the high magnitude.

The earthquake also triggered a tsunami warning for the region.
