Ah autumn, a season marked by a number of distinctive hallmarks.

First comes the brand new sartorial season, then the Pumpkin Spice Latte returns, and finally, calling a close to the summer, comes the Lush Halloween collection.

Halloween has to be one of the most exciting times of the year, for the cosmetics and bath products alone if not for the festive frights and dressing up.

The ethical beauty brand have taken to Instagram to unveil their Halloween collection, which hails the return of a few of our favourite products.

Showing off the dazzling beauty bits at the Lush Creative Showcase, we peeped piles and piles of sparkling bathbombs and shivering shower jellies.

The Ecotplasm Jelly Bomb, Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar, Monster's Ball and the cat-shaped Bewitched Bubble Bar are all in in action on the online Lush store.

The Halloween collection hasn't landed in Irish stores yet, but it's rumoured to be in in by the start of next week.

Until then we'll be filling up our online baskets with Lord of Misrule and Sparkly Pumpkin.

Two facts about us here in SHEmazing HQ – the first is we love brunch, and the second is we know all the words to Wannabe, natch.

So imagine our excitement level when we discovered that event concept 90s Brunch were mixing the two.

In a nostalgia-meets-modern medley, the crew at 90s Brunch are combining the Spice Girls with the most important millennial meal of the day.

'The 90s Brunch is an ‘off the chain’ 90s themed party that really brings Backstreet back and pays homage to the dopest and freshest parts of the 90’s!' reads the event description.

'Filled with the ‘bomb’ grub (that’s yummy awesome food), – a ‘far out’ 90s bottomless cocktail for an hour and the ‘freshest’ entertainment, including a lip-sync battle, where you can sign up to ‘blow up’ the stage with dance moves – this is an event you just don’t want to miss.'

'The sound track of the party will include all the most poppin’ music of the decade including artists such as The Spice Girls, Nirvana, R Kelly and Eminem as well as those classic club hits, and their modern remixes.'

'Delicious classic 90’s grub will be served in platter style–including 90’s treats like burgers , pizza, chicken drumsticks and fishfinger sandwiches, Boogie Bear’s donuts and more!'

There is one catch, however, which is that the event is being hosted at a secret location in London.

Flights to Stanstead for September 16, anyone?

The National Hurricane Centre has elevated Hurricane Irma to a Category 5 storm.

Winds from the aggressive weather phenomenon are set to reach 175kmph.

'Irma is expected to affect the northeastern Leeward Islands as a dangerous major hurricane, accompanied by life-threatening wind, storm surge, and rainfall impacts,' according to the NOAA’s National Hurricane Centre.

Irma is expected to make landfall on the Leeward Island tonight.

'Irma is expected to bring deteriorating and perhaps devastating conditions across the Leeward Islands into Wednesday,' AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski said.

A number of populated Caribbean islands are in the current path of the storm.

These include Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

'We are expecting very rough and dangerous surf along with damaging tropical-storm-force and hurricane-force winds over the northern Leeward Islands, and tropical-storm-force winds over the southern Leewards to perhaps the northern Windward Islands, mostly in gusts,' Kottlowski told AccuWeather.

A number of flights to and from the Caribbean have been cancelled.

Mean Girls star Lizzy Caplan is one of our major teenage icons.

After her epic and emotive performance as bad ass babe Janis Ian in the cult classic film, she cemented herself as a major part of our teen psyche.

Now, the all star actress has tied the knot with her long-time beau Tom Riley.

The pair wed in an Italian ceremony in Ravello at the weekend.

Lizzy donned a stunning long-sleeved dress with an unusual geometric lace pattern, and wore her hair in a flower studded up-do.

Despite being a low-key couple, Tom took to Instagram to share an intimate snap from their big day.

'This one seems fertile. She shall make a satisfactory first wife,' he jokingly captioned the post.

Here's to hoping they had an awesome time, drank awesome shooters, listened to awesome music, and then just sat around and soaked up each others awesomeness.

Ah, the Pumpkin Spice Latte, the perfect autumnal beverage.

The spiced beverage is renowned for being delicious, and its return to coffee mega chain Starbucks marks the end of summer.

We've been waiting with major anticipation for the drink, and it has finally made a triumphant return to our coffee rota (if we have one more coconut flat white we'll burst…)

Starbucks Ireland announced it's return via Twitter, and we couldn't be happier.

If that wasn't enough, this year will see the debut of the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, for those who prefer a cold brew.

'We take pumpkin and traditional fall spice flavours and blend them with coffee, milk and ice, then top it all off with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice,' reads the official Starbucks website.

'It's your favourite fall latte in a cool, Frappuccino form.'

Now to don a cable knit jumper and fluffy socks to match our new-found Autumnal snugliness.

Okay, nobody panic, but if your Hogwarts letter never came then this family event could be something to drag your kiddo, little siblings or nieces or nephews to (not that they wouldn't enjoy it too, but just in case you needed an excuse).

Aspiring wizards and witches will descend on Co Mayo this Halloween for some seriously spooky lessons at Ashford Castle.

From potions to defence against the dark arts, the castle is holding its annual Wizard School running from October 28 to November 4, and we'll be brushing up on our Harry Potter trivia for the occasion.

The family friendly event involves a two-day magical program that includes a Forbidden Forest Family Treasure Hunt, a visit to the hiding place of Dingle the Owl, an afternoon of creativity in the Chamber of Art, and a Wizards Dinner before a supervised Harry Potter Movie Evening.

On day two, you and your mini Dumbledore's Army will become the House Elves' little helpers at Cookery School before an afternoon Chamber of Witchcraft & Wizardry and another Harry Potter Movie Evening in the hotel cinema.

With its towering stone walls and hidden passageways, the 800-year-old Ashford Castle is the perfect backdrop for this magical stay.

It also helps that the hotel was named as one of the top 25 travel experiences in the world in the Chad Clarke Certified awards recently. Casual.

There is also tennis, golf, cycling and falconry on the grounds which are set on 350 acres on the shores of Lough Corrib with a stunning backdrop of woodlands, lake, river, and mountains.

At €1,080 for the full two-day package (two adults and two children) all this wizarding isn't cheap so you'll need to start saving all that Muggle Money.

Grace Davies reduced Nicole Scherzinger to tears when she performed self-penned track, Roots, at her first X Factor audition, which aired on Saturday.

The 20-year-old left the four judges stunned by her heartfelt performance, and it came as no surprise to viewers that the talented young singer was rushed directly through to the next stage of the competition.

But as the first episode of the 14th season drew to a close over the weekend, rumours had already begun circulating that suggested Grace wasn't the struggling artist she made herself out to be.

With reports that she had previously performed with Olly Murs to whispers she had a number of connections in the music industy, Grace's claims that she desperately needed a break began to ring a little hollow.

However, it looks like Grace is all too aware how badly rumours can effect your chances in a show like the X Factor, so she wasted no time clarifying the rumours during a TV appearance this morning.

Speaking with Lorraine Kelly, Grace insisted that the rumours were unfounded, and the reports were blown out of proportion.

"I’ve never had a record deal. When I was 18 I self-released an EP. I wrote it all when I was 16 and 17 and I just organised a band and recorded it in my local recording studio," Grace told Lorraine.

‘I didn’t have a management, I didn’t have a label, I just stuck it up on the internet and hoped that friends and family would share it. I’ve never been signed to a record label, I’m still not, that’s why I’m on the show."

We wonder if that's enough to shut down the rumours…

So, in case you've yet to hear, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her third child with her husband, Prince William.

The royal couple, who are parents to four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte, were the subject of much excitement this morning when Kensington Palace announced the news on Twitter.

And while thousands upon thousands of people celebrated the announcement this morning, small sections of the internet were (unsurprisingly) all about the saltiness.

We mean, take a look for yourselves…

1. Ouch.

2. Right, so.

3. How do you really feel?

4. In fairness…

5. Ah, heir!

6. Fine, so.

7. Fair enough.

8. And what about us?

9. Hmmm…

Let's be real here, furniture shopping is not for the fainthearted.

If you've ever spent time redecorating your home, you'll know the sheer number of things you have to consider before making those all-important purchases.

And aside from cost and quality, it's vital you have an idea how the item will look in your home,

But what if you were born without that all-important eye for interior design? Well, that's where IKEA's newly-launched app comes in.

IKEA Place is the brainchild of the good folk behind the Scandanavian store, and helps consumers visualise how an item will suit a particular room.

After pointing your phone in the area of your home you imagine placing the item, IKEA Place will superimpose your desired product, thereby giving you an idea how it would look if you were to make the purchase.

The app ultimately allows consumers to decorate their home without making the financial splash first.

Ladies, welcome to the future.

None of us can deny the fact that Mondays are HARD.

You've enjoyed lie-ins, brunches and nights out with the gals, and all of a sudden you have to drag yourself out of the bed to go to WORK (of all places).

However, you know what genuinely helps with this sad reality?

DOGS, DOGS AND MORE DOGS.

It has been scientifically proven that animals are a great way to ease stress and anxiety, and even boost productivity.

We decided to put this theory to the test on this fine Monday morning, and HOLY SH*T, was it good.

I came in extra early to prepare, even putting on extra makeup – to impress my new furry friends, obviously.

I nipped down to Dunnes Stores to pick up some delicious treats for the doggos, and was greeted with some seriously groovy specials.

I love the smell of saving money in the morning!

Anyway, at around 9am, Misty, Herbie, Twiggy and Tucker arrived, and I'm fairly certain I shed a tear with the actual excitement.

The morning continued, in an array of playing fetch, dancing (to Who Let The Dogs Out – duh!), and general cuteness.

We even let the doggos help us with work, and they proved to be particularly good with the computer *Google searched 101 Dalmations*

We held a very special meeting, where the dogs helped us with a client presentation – they nailed it, FYI.

Sadly, the pup-tastic morning had to end, despite my best attempts to run away (with the dogs in my bag!).

My four new furry friends went home, and left me working away, and I won't lie – I genuinely feel more relaxed and productive.

Should every day be 'bring your dog to work day'?

ABSOLUTELY!
