Let's face it, there are few things more relaxing than an afternoon spent in a spa.

And while we'd happily spend every weekend luxuriating in some of the country's top resorts, our bank balance just about stretches to one or two visits a year… if we're lucky.

But if you have a friend who would gladly sacrifice a month of nights out in order to spend one day day at the spa, why not bring the spa to her this Christmas?

Your budget may not stretch to a spa voucher, but that doesn't mean you can't treat her with a selection of products which leave her feeling as pampered and preened as she does while under teh watchful care of teh experts.

Take a look at these…

In theory, having a bookworm in the family makes festive shopping a real cinch.

In reality, this is far from the case.

When your loved one ploughs through books at the speed of light and critiques them with all the vigour of an established literary critic, you live in constant fear that they'll have already read your chosen tome or, worse still, dismissed it entirely.

If you know a book is on the agenda, but you've yet to decide which author or subject matter will get your vote, why not throw an eye of out top picks this Christmas?

It's looks like not everyone is happy about Salena Gomez and Justin Bieber's recent reconciliation.

According to reports, Selena's mother, Mandy Teefey, was taken to hospital after an intense argument about the romance left her family concerned for her welfare.

TMZ claim that the LAPD were called to a hotel last week after Mandy 'flipped' upon realising that the pair's relationship was getting serious once again.

It's understood she was then “voluntarily transported for treatment” at a nearby hospital.

Selena's family are said to be deeply concerned over her decision to give her relationship with Bieber a second chance, and have made their disappointed clear to see.

On the other side, Justin's family are said to be delighted by the news, with his mother recently referring to the “special bond” shared between her and Selena.

According to Metro, a source close to the Despacito singer said: “His parents love Selena.”

Adding: “They support him going to church often and having his faith being such a big part of his life.”

As if breaks ups weren't hard enough, the age of the internet has made in near impossible to completely extinguish our past flames.

Between checking their 'last active' time on What'sApp and examining their body language in that new Facebook picture, social media can be one of the biggest burdens in the lives of the newly single.

Wouldn't it be great if there we could just block it all out for a while?

Well, the good folk over at Facebook have heard our post-breakup cries for help and have developed a feature that will do just that.

Introducing 'Take A Break' – a new option that allows users to block out all reminders of their ex-partner immediately after a relationship ends.

In a statement, the social media giant said: "Millions of people break up on Facebook each week, changing their relationship status from 'in a relationship' to 'single'."

"Research on peoples' experiences after break-ups suggests that offline and online contact, including seeing an ex-partner's activities, can make emotional recovery more difficult."

It will broken down into three sub-options: See less of someone; Limit someone's ability to see your posts and post you're tagged in; Edit who can see past posts.

What's more, a new 'snooze' option will allow users to hide a person, page or group for 30 days, meaning you can take a step back without actually having to awkwardly unfriend someone.

Hallelujah!

If you were a teenager in the noughties, it's likely that you had a poster of Eminem in your bedroom.

The rapper was the rap bad boy of a generation, and as a result, we're sure there are a few among us who still hold a candle for the real slim shady.

If you fall into this category of lust, you may be in luck.

A post shared by Marshall Mathers (@eminem) on

The 45-year-old rapper was asked how he meets partners these days, and he admitted to being a user of good old Tinder.

‘Well, yeah. Yeah Tinder,' he told The Metro.

‘And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs.'

'What can I say? Going to strip clubs is how I was meeting some chicks. It was an interesting time for me.’

We're not exactly sure if Mr Mathers is taking the p*** with this one, but you better get swiping, just in case.
