A representative for Caitlyn Jenner has reportedly confirmed the news that 20-year-old Kylie is expecting her first child.

Reports of the rumoured pregnancy first broke on Friday when a source told TMZ that Kylie Jenner and boyfriend, Travis Scott had shared the news with friends and family.

And while the makeup mogul is yet to comment on the speculation, sources close to the Kardashian/ Jenner clan have spoken out.

Speaking to The Sun, a rep for her father, Caitlyn Jenner, revealed that the former Olympic champion has know for “some time.”

It comes after some reports claimed Caitlyn was left “shocked and disappointed” after learning of the news online.

"Caitlyn was really shocked and disappointed to learn that Kylie is pregnant," a source close to Caitlyn told Hollywood Life.

"She thinks Kylie is way too young to have a baby, and that she should have waited until she was in a long term committed relationship.

Meanwhile, posting for the first time since the news broke, Kylie added fuel to the fire when she shared a photo showing her t-shirt slightly lifted to reveal her stomach.

Nowadays you're as likely to see a group of young women deadlifting serious weights on the gym floor as you would a group of young men, but there's no denying that that hasn't always been the case.

As recently as a decade ago, phrases like 'size zero trend' were commonplace among the press and public as society focussed its attention on the waif-life appearance of high-profile individuals.

Thankfully, the passing of time has seen a change in both the perception and approach to health and wellbeing.

One quick scroll through any social media feed will throw up countless hashtags including #GirlsWhoLift, #StrongNotSkinny and #GirlsWithMuscle – labels which all highlight the popularity of weightlifting among the female population.

And yet despite the focus on fitness, strength and health among many Instagrammers, there exists a narrative that suggests women should not dedicate themselves to a routine based on weightlifting.

And Kelsey Wells isn't having it.

The fitness blogger, who boasts more than 847,000 followers, took to Instagram this week to tackle the negative dialogue which surrounds women who weightlift.

Sharing a photo of herself in three different aspects of her life, the mother-of-one encouraged other female weightlifters to ignore the criticism.

Comments along the lines of "you're looking manly" or "careful you don't want to be bulky" or "weightlifting isn't feminine" never cease to amaze me I choose not to respond to negativity, but I do have something to say about this and I want to say it loud and clear. NOT in response to those who have left negative messages and comments, but instead to ALL MY FELLOW WOMEN who have ever received a similar comment or been told they need to do/be something different to be beautiful or feminine. THE ONLY THING A WOMAN NEEDS TO DO TO BE BEAUTIFUL AND FEMININE IS TO BE HERSELF. We empower ourselves when we are living our truth and doing what we are PASSIONATE about with our WHOLE HEARTS. I was always a girly girl growing up and I love getting dressed up on occasion. What has surprised me though is finding I feel most beautiful when I'm gross and sweaty in the gym when I'm pushing myself in my training, and even more so as I'm wrestling on the floor with my son or any time I'm looking into that little face and teaching him about his world. . There is 100% beauty and femininity in lifting weights. Just as there is in dancing. There is beauty in MOTHERHOOD. There is beauty in marriage. There is beauty in being a homemaker. There is beauty in being single. There is beauty in pursuing a career. There is beauty in education, in learning both inside and outside of school. There is beauty in public speaking. There is beauty in private, sincere conversation. There is beauty in writing and cooking and cleaning and singing and playing sports and playing instruments and anything and everything else you might enjoy, because simply there is SO MUCH BEAUTY in YOU, you just need to choose to see it. And it has nothing to do with what you look like. So free yourself of the opinions of others and the beauty standards of society. Pay attention to the moments in life you FEEL beautiful. What are you doing? DO MORE OF THAT kelseywells.com/app

Day to day along my journey it seemed nothing was different, yet looking back at myself three years later I realize EVERYTHING has changed. Not through drastic breakthroughs, but rather small consistent efforts and a lot of hard work. Yes, physically I am stronger. But the reason I have stuck with it through the years and will never stop is because fitness has helped me FEEL strong. Learning how to nourish my body and consistently exercise and train efficiently has completely changed my body composition. In the same vein, learning how to work hard and push through challenges and embrace self-belief has completely changed my mentality and self-perception. Caring for myself physically empowers me mentally and emotionally. A number of posters have been placed around Dublin as part of the City Council's new anti-sexism initiative.

The move comes after a report commissioned by Dublin City Council recommenced a number of measures be undertaken to ensure that women “enjoy a safe, secure freedom of movement through the city.”

One suggestion was the development of “public awareness campaigns expressing zero tolerance of sexual harassment and other forms of sexual violence against women and girls in public space”.

Bearing the message, “a sexist remark is not a compliment,” it is hoped the new posters will raise awareness of the sexual harassment that women face on a daily basis.

After joining the UN Women Safe Cities Global Programme in 2013, Dublin is one of 20 cities aiming to reduce harassment of women and girls.

According to thejournal.ie, a spokesperson said: “The decision to join the global initiative was taken not because Dublin is an unsafe city but because the city wants to share and learn from knowledge in other cities.”

A safety audit revealed that inadequate street lighting and a lack garda presence at night made women feel uncomfortable when walking through the city.

Catcalling and groping on crowded public transport were also noted as major areas of concern.

Going forward, Dublin City Council plan to introduce educational programmes for the public and service providers, in particular the gardaí, which “clearly defines what constitutes sexual harassment and other forms of sexual violence in public space.”

So, while we're all for advances in technology and the endless possibilities they may bring, every now and then there's a scientific breakthrough that leaves us with just one question – why?

Researchers from universities in South Korea, Japan and the US have come together to create a pair of glasses that will enable users to control their mobile phone just by touching their nose.

Cleverly dubbed 'Itichy Nose', the glasses have been designed to interpret different gestures, thus allowing users to reject call, pause a video, or skip a song without ever touching their phones.

The glasses use electrooculography sensors, which are often used by doctors to measure the electric potential in parts of the eye.

Developers hope the unusual piece of kit will help people avoid committing a number of tech-related social faux pas, such as reaching for a phone when in the middle of a conversation.

Speaking to The Verge, co-creator and study first author Juyoung Lee, said: “If an important text from a spouse came in during a business meeting, the user could check it and dismiss it quickly without calling undue attention to the interaction.”

“Similarly, if the user had a list of names and faces to remind her of who is in the meeting, she could scroll through the list until she found the person whose name she forgot.”

“These quick interactions can be very useful but are rare enough to not attract attention.”

OK, so maybe this could come in handy from time to time…

What do Kylie Jenner, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus have in common?

As well as being three of the hottest celebrities in Hollywood, these gals also share a rather uncomfortable issue – lactose intolerance.

While we may all be mad after one of Kylie’s lip kits, we probably wouldn't want to share her digestive issue, but never fear.

If you have recently discovered that you suffer from lactose intolerance, don’t be dismayed.

For those not in the know, lactose is a type of naturally occurring sugar found in milk and other products containing milk.

If you suffer from lactose intolerance, your body is unable to digest lactose, and consuming it can cause a medley of unpleasant symptoms including bloating, cramps and nausea.

So, no normal milky lattes for sufferers, please and thanks.

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

This can seem daunting for those who discover they are lactose intolerant, as they may feel there are certain foods which they have to avoid completely.

But do not fear! Luckily, in a foodie landscape that caters to all sorts of different tastes and diets, there are options for lactose intolerant folks who just can’t bear to part with their usual dairy consumption that will help ease them into their new lactose-free lifestyles.

There are cow’s milk alternatives, such as rice milk, soy milk and hemp milk.

However, most of these don’t quite measure up, taste-wise, to actual milk, and we all know that nothing quite beats a cup of tea or coffee made with real milk.

Avonmore Lactose Free Milk is a low fat milk made from regular cow’s milk, but has an added enzyme, called lactase, which breaks down the lactose in the milk making it easier to digest.

Thank you, science.

This helps sufferers avoid the unpleasant symptoms of lactose intolerance, but you still get the same great taste as regular milk.

As an added bonus, because it’s high in protein, calcium and essential vitamins, you’re also getting all nutritional benefits of regular fresh milk too.

That’s pretty handy for anyone who wants to maintain their normal diet while avoiding the nasty side effects of lactose intolerance.

Brought to you by

If you love milk but are lactose intolerant, here’s some very good news.

Avonmore Lactose Free milk has all the taste and nutritional benefits you would expect from Avonmore, just without the lactose.

YES YOU CAN, with Avonmore Lactose Free milk

Please note we would always advise anyone suffering with symptoms such as bloating, cramps or nausea to visit their GP for a proper diagnosis.

Ibrahim Halawa could return to Ireland by the middle of this week, according to Simon Coveney.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs made the comments on RTÉ'S Morning Ireland today, revealing that a number of factors were to blame for his delayed release, namely the timing of the verdict, which conincided with the Muslim New Year.

The 21-year-old has been in jail in Egypt since 2013, when he was arrested during a Muslim Brotherhood demonstration in Cairo.

The Firhouse native, who was just 17-years-old at the time, was among hundreds of protestors who were arrested at the demonstration.

His three sisters were also arrested, but were later released on bail.

Last Monday's acquittal came after Ibrahim's trail was adjourned 25 times.

Simon Coveney explained how the prosecutor's office must formally inform the prison office before Ibrahim can be released, but said a letter has been drafted and things should move quickly going forward.

“Once he moves from the prison service to the security directorate, the rest will happen very quickly – that's what we're told.”

“And we're hoping that that may happen as soon as later on today. So I would be very hopeful and confident that we would see Ibrahim home before the middle of the week.”

According to a report in the Sunday Independent,  the individuals responsible for the terror attack in London on Saturday June 3 this year had initially earmarked Dublin as their target.

It is understood that 27-year-old Khuram Shazad Butt and 31-year-old Rachid Redouan had considered the Irish capital as a possibility, with the paper reporting that the extremists had deliberated over particular landmarks in the capital.

“Khuram Shazad Butt and Rachid Redouane, who together with a third accomplice, were shot dead by police during the London Bridge attack carried out reconnaissance two years ago on a number of high-profile locations in Dublin that they had identified as potential targets,” reads the report.

It has been established that London became the terror target after those involved decided that Dublin would serve them in other ways.

It is understood that extremists believed that the Irish capital “would suit Isis better as a logistics base from where internet frauds could be carried out to raise funds.”

The terror attack in London at the beginning of June claimed the lives of eight people and injured dozens more.
