Brexit negotiations have resulted in the assurance that there will be no hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Theresa May announced that that ‘we guarantee there will be no hard border in Ireland.’

She also pledged to ‘uphold the Belfast Agreement,’

‘Things are moving in the right direction’ Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told the Journal.

‘It’s in our interest that the Brexit that does happen is as soft as it can be.’

‘I think we’re getting away from this binary hard or soft idea.’

‘This is not the end but it is the end of the beginning,’ he tweeted.

'We want to build bridges, not borders. We want to free travel and free trade to continue as it does now and has done for 20 years.'

A second phase of negotiations will now begin.

Each year, colour experts Pantone decide which colour sums up the year just gone.

The annual event is highly anticipated, as people wait with baited breath to judge whether or not they agree with the researcher's choice.

The Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 has finally been revealed, and the winner is… Ultra Violet.

A post shared by PANTONE (@pantone) on

According to Pantone, Ultra Violet is 'a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade.'

'UltraViolet communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us to the future.

The colour creatives cite the millennial obsession with crystal healing, amethysts and mediation for the choice.

They also praise musical creatives like Prince, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix for inspiring the choice.

'The colour is often associated with mindfulness practices, which offer a higher ground to those seeking refuge from today’s over-stimulated world,' reads their shade description.

Do you agree with their choice?

Kim Kardashian recently came under fire when an eagle-eyed Instagram account called out the reality TV star for allegedly copying the fashion designs of other creatives for her children's fashion line, Kids Supply.

Instagram account Diet Prada scrutinises developments in the fashion industry, looking for brands and designers who copy one another.

Kim and North made headlines back in 2016 when they stepped out in their matching silver sequin dresses.

The dress also featured a distinctive waterfall back. Now Kim is selling her own version of the garment called the Demna Dress.

Diet Prada has called out the dress for being a copy of Vetements original piece.

Kim's rep has come to her defence, saying that the dress is an homage to the original designer, not a copy.

A post shared by Diet Prada ™ (@diet_prada) on

The name Demna dress is said to refer to Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Vetements.

'We named it the Demna dress to pay homage to him as it was one of Kim and North’s favourite mommy and me moments,' the rep told Page Six.

'The idea behind Kids Supply is to give people the opportunity to purchase things that would never be available for children otherwise.'

'We decided to release the Demna dress after making one on our own for North because it got such a great reaction and an overflow of people wanting it for their own children.'

Diet Prada also pointed out similarities between the Kids Supply Rei bomber jacket, and a limited Comme des Garcons piece.

'The Rei jacket was a mixture of some our favourite souvenir jacket art,' the rep told Page Six, citing that the jacket is named after CdG founder Rei Kawakubo.

'We have been collecting for years and have archives of them. We named it the Rei Jacket out of the utmost respect for her.'

Four months ago, Taylor Swift was awarded a symbolic one dollar in compensation after winning her sexual assault case against DJ David Mueller.

The DJ attempted to sue Taylor after he claimed that he had lost his job after Taylor accused him of groping her at an event in 2013.

The jury came back with a guilty verdict after Taylor counter sued him for the symbolic sum.

Now, according to the Associated Press, the former DJ has attempted to use his settlement fine as one last f*** you to the pop sensation.

He sent Taylor a coin featuring a Native American woman via post last week, according to his statement.

Mueller intended the coin to be one last attempt to insult the singer, after she called the case a 'win for all women.'

A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

'It means 'no means no' and it tells every woman they will decide what will be tolerated with their body,'Taylor's attorney said, according to The Independent via Reuters at the time.

Hmmmm… we're not so sure that Taylor got the message.

In a recent interview with Time magazine (in which she was named one of Time's people of the year) the Bad Blood songstress said that she never received the coin.

The singer, who is known for her appearances on The Voice as well as her debut platinum selling album Doll House, has responded to the allegations.

Speaking about the alleged incident, Heller told her Twitter followers that she and Martinez had been close friends, but that their friendship had always been all about Martinez.

Rumours began swirling that the 20-year-old was concocting her own concealer line after she uploaded a makeup tutorial on her Snapchat using an unnamed concealer product.

The snap was quickly deleted after eagle-eyed fans began clamouring for the name of the full-coverage product.

Now, the rumours have been confirmed by Kylie herself, who took to social media to announce her new range of makeup pieces.

Taking to Snapchat, Kylie said:

'I cant believe I actually get to reveal to you guys my 30 concealers today, the first time I've ever done concealers. I wear this every single day,' she said, before revealing that her own shade is called Maple.

'My first concealer formula, I'm calling it Skin Concealer because this is a medium coverage but super buildable.'

The collection is hyper inclusive, with a vast range of shades.

The teen also revealed a new line of lipsticks, called the Silver Series, but kept the new shades under wraps.

However, not everyone is here for Kylie's new makeup venture.

Rihanna fans are coming for the reality TV star's new concealer collection, claiming that Kylie is simply trying to 'keep up with' Fenty Beauty.

Rihanna recently revolutionised the beauty industry with her Fenty Beauty PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, which is available in 40 shades, from the palest white to rich mocha.

The foundation was even named one of Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2017.

Twitter users have accused the makeup mogul of attempting to steal Rihanna's thunder with the launch.

The products land on December 13, along with a third which has yet to be revealed.

Think they would arrive in time for Xmas?

Look, we all know that there’s no time like the present to embark on a journey of self-improvement, but as Christmas approaches, most of us fall victim to our own excuses.

It’s too hard to eat well, drink less and do more when we’re faced with tins of chocolate, countless social engagements and a couch that can't do enough for us.

So, what do we do, instead? We make a solemn ‘New Year, New Me’ vow to ourselves, and cross our fingers we’ll actually stick to it this time.

Mercifully, it’ll be a lot easier this time around thanks to an event which is taking place just six days into the new year.

The aptly-named Fresh Resolutions brings together some of the country’s greatest leaders in the field of health, fitness and wellbeing, and seeks to support, encourage and educate those in attendance.

Featuring the likes of Roz Purcell, Siobhan O’Hagan, Jennifer Rock, Rob Lipsett and Pat Divilly, the event is all about increasing productivity, providing training tips and meeting like-minded people.

Taking place in Dublin’s RDS on January 6, Fresh Resolution which will be a mixture of talks, panel discussions and Q&A sessions, is exactly what you need if you’re determined 2018 is going to be your year.

Ladies, we'll see you there.

When it comes to selling something, you might think a billboard on the side of the road would work pretty well, right?

Well in that case, you'd be basic AF, because the hippest new advertising method is to erect a billboard… in outer space.

Nope, we're not kidding, and that's exactly what Tourism Ireland just did.

A billboard highlightling Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way has been sent into space via weather balloon.

As well as showcasing the Irish landscape, the ad is also meant to celebrating the imminent release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The ad hosts a snap of the iconic Skellig Michael island, a feature in the film.

The weather balloon reached an altitude of 33,390 metres, and Tourism Ireland say that it is 'technically' the first ad of it's kind.

The upcoming film will be released on December 15.

We're sure plenty of Irish residents will vbe watching from along the Wild Atlantic Way.
