We'll be honest here, we don't think we'd have the confidence to reach out to Noel Gallagher on Instagram.

Much and all as he's mellowed over the last two decades, the thought of being shot down by one of the UK's biggest musicians isn't something we relish.

But not everyone is as brave as little Sam Fisher who felt the fear and did it anyway.

Putting pencil to paper, Sam invited Noel to lead a discussion about drugs at his school, writing: "We would like to hear about when you used to take drugs and how you turned it around."

Sharing a photo of the letter on Instagram, Noel joked: "Thanks for the offer Sam but as much as I’d love to come and regale your PSHE class with war stories from The 90’s I’m gonna have to pass as I’m currently in re-hab..I mean the studio!"

Most people would bow out gracefully following this tongue-in-cheek rejection, but not good ol' Sam.

Sending the former Oasis star yet another letter, Sam asked if he could play on stage alongside his idol, telling Noel he could find some of his performances on YouTube with a quick search.

A clearly bemused Noel was quick to share the second letter, writing: "Play on stage with me? Blimey you don’t want much do you eh? I’m sure one of my bitches at HQ will sort you out a pass of some description and we can hang out and exchange life stories."

"You can tell me tall tales from your PSHE class (whatever that is!) and I’ll fill you in about the 90’s. Can I just point out is not an open invitation to every other f*cker on the planet."

The posts have amassed more than 100,000 likes since their upload over the weekend.

Never change, Noel.

According to numerous reports emerging Stateside, a commemorative screening of 1997 film, Wag the Dog, acted as a catalyst for a very heated debate between veteran actor, Dustin Hoffman, and HBO host, John Oliver.

Hoffman, who was recently accused of sexual harassment by a teen he worked alongside in 1985, was forced to defend himself against the allegations in addition to the statement he issued in the wake of the accusations.

As more and more harrowing stories emerge from within the entertainment industry, John Oliver clearly felt it would be remiss not to address Hoffman's role in the scandal.

Referring to Anna Graham Hunter's accusations against him, John said: "This is something we’re going to have to talk about because … it’s hanging in the air."

Responding to the remark, Hoffman said: "It’s hanging in the air? From a few things you’ve read you’ve made an incredible assumption about me."

Refusing to back down, John took issue with Hoffman's initial response to the allegations, where he claimed they were 'not reflective' of who he is.

"It’s that kind of response to this stuff that pisses me off,” John said. "It is reflective of who you were. You’ve given no evidence to show that it didn’t happen. There was a period of time when you were a creeper around women."

“It feels like a cop-out to say, ‘this isn’t me.’" John argued. "Do you see how this feels like a dismissal?”

Hoffman argued that Anna's decision to wait a considerable amount of time before coming forward points to his innocence, saying: "Well, there’s a point in her not bringing it up for 40 years."

Speaking to the audience in the wake of the exceedingly heated debate, John insisted that he felt compelled to address the issue as a broadcaster.

In not doing so, John would have berated himself, saying: "That leads to me at home later tonight hating myself, asking, "Why the f*** didn't I say something? No one stands up to powerful men.'"

Hoffman is just one in a worrying number of high-profile men who have been accused of sexual harassment, assault and rape within the entertainment industry.

If you've ever had to rock up to the Jackson Court Hotel in the cold light of day, mumbling something about a missing cloakroom ticket and a lost jacket, but bottle it at the last minute, you can take solace in the fact you're not alone.

Swallowing down your shame in the midst of an epic hangover in order to retrieve a jacket you couldn't have cared less about the night before takes a serious shot of confidence… which is why so many of us refuse to do it.

And the result? Well, Copper Face Jacks were more than willing to share it in a video posted on their Facebook last night.

Featuring a mountain of binliners which the post insists only accounts for 20 per cent of their lost property, the good folk at Coppers understandably urged us to stop forgetting our damn jackets.

Responding to the footage, many Facebook users encouraged the nightclub to donate their forgotten goods to the homeless – something CFJ confirmed they do after a period of six weeks.

"If it helps the homeless then I say keep leaving them!" wrote one Facebook user. "I've lost/left behind many coats over the years and if I knew they were going to those in need I'd be way happier. Well done Coppers!"

And well done us for forgetting our coat… every… single… time.

Just days after Tim Wilson, an Australian MP, proposed to his partner, Ryan Bolger, in Parliament in celebration of Australia's new stance on same-sex marriage, Austria has taken a step in the same direction.

According to emerging reports, Austria's Constitutional Court has declared that same-sex couples will be allowed to marry from the beginning of 2019, after determining that the current laws are discriminatory.

The ruling, which was published today, confirms that restrictions on same-sex marriage will be lifted at the end of 2018.

"The Constitutional Court nullified with a decision on December 4, 2017 the legal regulation that until now prevented such couples from marrying," read a statement from the court.

Twitter has wasted no time celebrating the news, with one social media user writing: "Australia and Austria allowing same sex marriage within one week of each other, finally. And the high court in Austria recognising it as a human right!"

Look, you don't need us to tell you that choosing a Christmas present for a new partner is a bloody minefield.

The first festive season with the boyfriend du jour is a real milestone, and it's made all the more difficult if your relationship is still in its first flush when you're only bloody mad about him, but still struggle to remember his surname after a few too many.

While you undoubtedly want to impress, you don't want to scare the bejaysus out of him, and you have a sneaking suspicion that with one overly romantic or intimate gift you might find yourself celebrating New Year's Eve alone.

Ladies, you walk a very fine line in this situation, and we're here to hold your hand.

Band T-shirts

Lads love T-shirts. It's a simple fact of life, and it makes Christmas very easy for most of us.

Whether it's Kanye, Metallica or Radiohead he's into, you can't go wrong springing for a T-shirt that gives more than a passing nod to his favourite band.

The classic wallet

Choosing clothes for a lad can be a minefield (unless it's a band T-shirt), but accessories are a lot easier, especially if you keep it simple.

There are some seriously slick wallets out there right now which definitely won't break the bank.

Craft beer

If you know even one lad that wouldn't thank you for a crate of his favourite craft beers, we'd like to meet him.

While it might seem a little impersonal, it's actually far from it… especially if you've taken note of his favourite tipples over the last six months.

Board games

Kick it old-school on Christmas Day and gift your new bloke with a game the pair of yee can puzzle over together.

Yes, it's not the most sentimental, but hey that's what next year's Christmas is for!

Nabih al-Wahsh has been sentenced to three years in prison after declaring that women should be raped on the basis of what they are wearing.

The Egyptian lawyer was appearing on a television panel show in October of this year when he made comments which sparked international outrage.

Nabih al-Wahsh used a discussion on prostitution to air his repugnant views on females in society, saying: "Are you happy when you see a girl walking down the street with half of her behind showing?"

"I say that when a girl walks about like that, it is a patriotic duty to sexually harass her and a national duty to rape her," he argued.

al-Wahsh's horrifying commentary led the Egypt’s National Council for Women to file a complaint against the channel on which he appeared, and insisted his contribution violated Egypt's constitution to protect the rights of women.

The lawyer was charged with “publicly inciting to flout the law” and “spreading with malice reports and statements meant to perturb public order … and harm the public interest.”

In addition to being jailed for three years, Nabih al-Wahsh must also pay a fine of 20,000 Egyptian pounds.

The three-year sentence was passed in absentia as Nabih al-Wahsh, who was previously released on bail, did not attend the hearing on Saturday.

If you're still feeling a little fragile after the weekend, we suggest you sit this one out because we're currently trying to contain our tears here at SHEmazing HQ.

After being attacked by another dog, four-month-old puppy, Loca, suffered extensive damage and multiple puncture wounds to her face and neck.

In a bid to give Loca a new lease of life, staff at the University of California's Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the school's Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service helped to create a custom-made 3D-printed mask.

The device named Exo-K9, which was designed by biomedical engineering students from UC Davis College of Engineering, essentially refused Loca's face and skull.

Commenting on the weeks that followed Loca's fitting, staff said: "For the next month, Loca was not allowed access to any toys, bones, or anything else hard to chew."

"Her mask and neck collar remained on at all times except to allow her to eat and drink. She was fed a soft diet until her injuries healed."

According to Sky News, all those involved in Loca's recovery effort are pleased with her progress.

"Loca continues to recover well from her injuries, and all indications show the Exo-K9 to be a viable component to maxillofacial injury healing," they confirmed.
