Attention ladies!

The women of Instagram are taking a stand (or a seat, if you will) against the phenomenon that is 'manspreading,' with their very own (less irritating) version.

As defined by the Oxford Dictionary (yes, it's actually there, look it up) 'manspreading' is “the practice whereby a man, especially one travelling on public transport, adopts a sitting position with his legs wide apart, in such a way as to encroach on an adjacent seat or seats.”

However, while 'womenspreading' also involves stretching one's leg to a near-uncomfortable width, the Insta version doesn't make people uncomfortable on their morning commute – and it looks damn fierce if you ask us.

Here's some of our favourite examples:

The trend has proved popular among celebrities, with Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Chrissy Teigen, and Elsa Hosk all getting involved.

Well, if it's goof enough for Chrissy…

Piers Morgan has accused Lily Allen of harassing him during a heated exchange about mental health.

In a series of tweets posted today, the pair argued over Piers' claim that actress Denise Welch has only accused him of not taking mental health seriously because she knew it would get her “in the papers.”

Her comments come after the Good Morning Britain presenter was criticised for his response to the news that Will Young had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, when he said that the singer actually had a case of “WNTS – Whiny Needy Twerp Syndrome.”

“What he did by that statement was… you’ve got somebody who is just about to be prepared to talk about their condition because they’ve kept it a secret,” Denise said.

“What he did in that one tweet was he closed them down and said, ’Don’t do it, because we are going to take the f*cking piss out of you’. He shut all those people down who don’t have a voice.”

Lily was quick to defend the actress, tweeting: “Lol, that you think you’re so press worthy. I can think of a billion other ways @RealDeniseWelch could drum up some interest if she was that way inclined. Her incredibly successful son being one of them…”

However, things took a turn, when Piers replied with a picture of the singer appearing to touch his crotch, along with the caption, “I preferred you when you just harassed me in the flesh.”

Lily has yet to reply to the comment.

Aldi Ireland have used their Twitter platform to warn the public about a WhatsApp message which is currently circulating under their name.

The message claims to offer customers a €150 Aldi voucher – an offer which is wholly fraudulent and cannot be redeemed at any Aldi branch.

"ALERT: There's a hoax €150 Aldi voucher offer circulating through messaging services including WhatsApp," they wrote in the post earlier today.

"This offer is FRAUDULENT and CANNOT be redeemed in our stores. Please do not click the link. We're investigating," the post finished.

Aldi customers responded to the tweet, admitting that they almost fell victim to the hoax.

"Can't believe I fell for it. I do know better but got a WhatsApp from someone who I thought should know better," wrote one.

Ladies, you have been warned.

Rose gold had a major moment as one of the trendiest metal finishes to don, whether it was on your wrist or your iPhone cover.

The popular shade has stuck around to become a staple jewellery material, alongside classic silver and gold.

Often hailed as the remedy to the millennial pink obsession, the finish is sticking around for good.

Four leaf clover €36.00, Fortune's Favour €41.00, Love €36.00

This is evident in the stunning new ALEX & ANI rose gold collection.

The cult brand have cast some of their most popular styles in rose gold to satiate our hankering for the shimmering metal.

Their tope eight Core Range bracelets have been transformed to adopt the rosy hue.

Evil Eye €41.00, Calavera €36.00

From the classic four-leaf clover to the edgier evil eye, there's a rose gold piece for all styles.

While the pieces look stunning as it is, they're also pretty ethical, being made from recycled materials with eco-conscious processes.

Each design has a specific symbolism, so make sure you have a read of the description when choosing your fave.

We're thinking the collection would make a pretty special Christmas gift for your sister, bestie or yourself if you're feeling fancy.

ALEX AND ANI, along with the collection, is available in Fields Jewellers, Kilkenny Shop, Arnotts, Weirs & Sons and local jewellery stores nationwide.

Ray D'Arcy is set to be joined on the couch this weekend by a very interesting guest.

Ivana Trump, who was previously married to (you guessed it) current POTUS Donald Trump, will be sitting down with Ray to discuss her relationship with the president.

Outspoken Ivana will also be sharing her exact opinion on First Lady Melania Trump.

A post shared by Ivana Trump (@itsivanatrump) on

Ivana previously told Good Morning America that she sees her self as the real First Lady, and that she assumes that Melania's life 'in Washington must be terrible.'

She will also be discussing her daughter Ivanka's role and impact on the Washington regimen.

Also set to join Ray is reality TV star Millie Mackintosh.

The Made In Chelsea veteran will sit down with Ray amid rumours of her immanent wedding to long-term beau Hugo Taylor.

Millie is set to discuss how she went from London it-girl to style icon with a very private personal life.

Also on the line-up for this Saturday's Ray D'Arcy Show are Wicklow brothers Sean and Conor Price who will be live in studio this week sharing their X Factor experiences, as well as broadcaster Charlie Bird.

And if the response is anything to go by, you'll need to act fast if you want to see one adorning your tree this festive season.

If our reddened cheeks and numb fingers were anything to go by when we arrived into the office this morning, winter has officially arrived.

And, unsurprisingly, it's not going anywhere fast.

According to the good folk at Met Éireann, it's a weekend for fluffy socks, duvet forts and gallons of alcohol-infused hot chocolate.

Tonight will see the arrival of frost which will become severe as the night progresses, with temperatures dipping as low as -3 degrees.

Friday will be a cold, breezy day, but may be broken up with some bright spells and showers. Some of these showers will, however, carry hail, sleet and snow with a slight risk of a thundery burst too.

Saturday will kick off with a cold, frosty and icy wake-up call and continue throughout the day and into the night, with lows of -2 degrees.

Thankfully, Sunday makes way for some warmer spells, with temperatures reaching 9 degrees as the frost and ice clears.

Ladies, it's a weekend for the couch.

In theory, we love the idea of an office Kris Kindle. In reality, we struggle with the notion.

While we may see our workmates more than we see our own family and friends, that doesn't mean we know them very well.

Considering this, it's always best to play it safe when it comes to choosing presents for the people you work with.

By all means, do a little snooping if you think it will help, but don't tie yourself in knots over it.

Instead; take a look at our top picks when it comes to the office Kris Kindle…

For her…

With just over a week to go until this year's Late Late Toy Showthere's no doubt that the festive season has officially descended in Ireland.

And much and all as think we can wait another eight days for the festive fun and frolics, the truth is, we can't.

It's as simple as that, ladies.

So, it's no surprise that we practically went into meltdown when we got a sneak peek of the show's promo, which is set to hit our screens tonight between EastEnders and Fair City.

This year’s trailer goes for a traditional Christmas feel taking inspiration from the classic children’s story The Nutcracker, and we're all about it.

Take a look here.

Actress Jessica Szohr  played the love-her-or-hate-her character of Vanessa on iconic TV series Gossip Girl.

Jessica starred alongside Ed Westwick in the show, and the pair were involved in multiple storylines together.

Their working relationship flourished into romance, and the pair dated for over a year.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress was asked for her thoughts on the rape allegations her former co-star is currently facing.

'It's a difficult subject right now for anyone that's involved on either side,' the actress told the mag.

'I don't even really know how to answer it, if I should, because I don't want anything to get twisted, because I have known Ed for years and know how lovely he is, and don't think he would ever put someone in a position like that.'

A post shared by Series&movies (@123movies__) on

She told the mag that she struggles with wondering whether the entire truth is being told.

'It’s difficult, because you don’t want someone you know to go through that or do that to someone, or knowing them well, knowing that you don’t think they would, and you don't want, for the girls that are coming forward, it’s like, are they stretching the truth?'

'I’m really trying to answer this as open and nicely as I can, because it is touchy, and I obviously for any of these situations, wasn’t there, for either side, so I can’t say it did or didn’t happen,' she continued.

'But I know him well and I’ve known him for years, and I found it shocking.'

Ed Westwick has denied the accusations made against him by three separate women.

The situation is still undergoing investigation.

The severe weather has hampered a search for a fisherman in Co Galway who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.

The search mission for the Galway native was postponed at approximately 3am this morning, but resumed shortly after 8am today.

It is understood that he left Galway docks at 3pm yesterday in order to tend to lobster pots, but after failing to return to shore, the alarm was raised at 9.30pm.

Lifeboat crews from Galway and the Aran Islands along with local fisherman are taking part in the search.

Commenting on the search mission, Harbour Master Capt. Brian Sheridan, said: "The vessel was found near Silverstrand and was taken into Galway."

"The search resumed at 8.20am this morning, the helicopter is flying over the bay and the Aran Lifeboat, the Galway Lifeboat and the inshore fishing fleet are out searching."
