Following yesterday's sentencing of Tom Humphries for grooming and sexually abusing an underage girl, details of a case involving a second victim have emerged.

The revelation comes after the leniency of the two-and-a-half year jail sentence handed to the former Irish Times journalist was met with “disgust” from investigating Gardaí and rape crisis charities.

The 54-year-old pleaded guilty to four counts of inviting a child to participate in a sexually explicit, obscene or indecent act between January 2010 and March 2011, as well as two counts of defilement of the child between December 5, 2010 and February 19, 2011.

The victim was just 16 years of age when the incidents took place.

The maximum sentence for this offence is life imprisonment, and many expected the convicted abuser to be jailed for at least 10 years.

It has now emerged that a second girl was allegedly attacked by Humphries on a number of occasions between March and June 2007.

According to The Irish Independent, senior Gardaí source say the nature of these offences bears a striking similarity to those for which the accused was sentenced for yesterday.

It's rare that a high-profile Hollywood couple make the decision to part ways without the press and public making reference to the involvement of a third party.

And it was no different when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris decided to call time on their ten-year relationship in August.

Indeed, rumours began circulating that the reason for the couple's split was due to Chris's relationship with Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence – a narrative that understandably didn't sit well with The Hunger Games star.

In her memoir, Unqualified, Anna notes that Jennifer reached out to her, and expressed regret over the dialogue surrounding the professional relationship she shared with Anna's husband.

"Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong," Anna reasons.

"She’s awesome, but of course it’s hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you, even if it’s patently untrue."

"You still feel, and look, like a fool," the actress added.

Interestingly, Anna admits that while she was warned of the potential rumours which would likely begin circulating once Chris and Jennifer began shooting, she felt she had no cause for concern.

"Even before they met in person, my publicist, out of the blue, pulled me aside and said, “Anna, listen, there are going to be paparazzi all over them."

"She said 'There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this.'”

"I didn’t think it would bother me. I’ve been in this business a while now and I had seen Chris star alongside other beautiful women, like Aubrey Plaza and Bryce Dallas Howard."

Anna, who is currently promoting her book, shares a five-year-old son with Chris.

According to emerging reports, two men have died after being shot on a college campus in the United States earlier today.

It has been established that an altercation, which began in the dorm rooms of Grambling State University in northern Louisiana, ultimately led to the shooting in the university's courtyard.

The victims have been named a Earl Andrews, a senior at GSU, and Monquiarious Caldwell, who did not attend the university.

Condemning the incident, Grambling State University Director of University Communications, Will Sutton, said: "This is a horrible tragedy. Nothing that anybody would've ever wanted to have happened."

"Our prayers are with the victims and their families," he added.

"There’s no place for violence on Grambling State University campus. We always encourage our students to be safe, to be aware, watch who they hang out with, and watch who’s around at all times. This is a most unfortunate situation."

Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department do not believe the assailant, who has yet to be apprehended, was a student of the university.

As a celeb, you know you have officially made it big when people are immortalising your likeness in wax.

Lady Gaga clearly reached a meteoric level of fame a number of years ago, and so homage has been paid to her look by a museum in Peru.

However, the art work is less than flattering, and Twitter is raucous after seeing the model.

Two snaps of the slightly scary wax work were posted online by Twitter user @tobeymonster.

Twitter fans have likened the model to Donatella Versace among other characters.

They have also criticised the look of Gaga's wig, along with her muscular physique.

The tweet is currently going viral, with thousands of likes and retweets.

Hopefully Lady Gaga herself will see it soon and give us her two cents.

Crystal Castles, an electronic group popular on the indie scene, shot to fame in 2008 with their hit Alice Practice.

Original member Alice Glass left the group in 2014, and has this week revealed the reason why.

Using the hashtag #MeToo, the former founding member has claimed that she is a victim of sexual assault, physical abuse and rape at the hands of her CC bandmate Ethan Kath.

Alice stated that the recent wave of discussion surrounding sexual assault led to her feeling that it was time to speak out.

'The first time he took advantage of me was when I was around 15. He was 10 years older than me.'

'I came to in the back of his car extremely intoxicated (from drinks he had given me that night).'

'He went to great lengths to find me again, stalking me and driving past my high school looking for me,' she claimed, in a lengthy statement posted to her website.

Alice goes on to claim how, as Crystal Castles gained popularity, the abuse continued and escalated.

'He became physically abusive,' reads the statement.

'He held me over a staircase and threatened to throw me down it. He picked me up over his shoulders and threw me onto concrete.'

A post shared by Ethan Kath (@ethankathfans) on

Alice goes on to allege that Kath used manipulation, violence and forcible restraint which led to sexual assault.

'He broke glass shower doors to frighten me, he locked me into rooms.'

'He told me that my feminism made me a target for rapists and only he could protect me.'

'He forced me to have sex with him or, he said, I wouldn’t be allowed to be in the band anymore.'

'I am outraged and hurt by the recent statements made by Alice about me and our prior relationship,' Kath responded in a statement from his attorney obtained by Pitchfork.

'Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options.'

'Fortunately, there are many witnesses who can and will confirm that I was never abusive to Alice.'

Alice finished her statement by saying that walking away from Crystal Castles was hugely difficult, but she knew that it was the right decision.

'As difficult as it was, I knew that leaving was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.'

'It has taken me years to recover from enduring almost a decade of abuse, manipulation and psychological control. I am still recovering.'
