Last Thursday was a major night for the drinks industry in this country, with Jameson Distillery on Dublin's Bow Lane playing host to The Irish Whiskey Awards.

And it was an even bigger night for The Dingle Distillery who walked away with not one, but two incredible accolades.

Scooping the ‘Best Irish Gin’ award for Dingle Original Gin and the ‘Best Irish Vodka’ award for Dingle Distillery Vodka, it was a major moment for Elliot Hughes of The Dingle Distillery who accepted the esteemed accolades on the night.

So, what is it about these products that sets them apart?

Well, Dingle Original Gin is a London dry gin but with a unique character and flavour from the choice of botanicals delivering a fabulously fresh, floral character that perfectly balances the traditional juniper.

And as for the vodka?  Dingle Distillery Vodka is distilled five times for incredible purity with just a touch of sweetness and a creamy texture, and according to those in the know, it is exceptionally good drunk neat.

Commenting on the win, a clearly delighted Elliot Hughes said: “These awards are a resounding endorsement of the incredible creativity and excellence of our distilling team in Dingle."

“Our long-term goal was to create a world class whiskey, but we’re more than happy to add world class gin and vodka to our family of spirits!”

Launched in 2013, the The Irish Whiskey Awards have gone on to become one of the biggest celebrations of Irish whiskey in the world.

Twitter has been quick to respond to disturbing footage which emerged in the aftermath of Harry Styles' recent performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

The clip, which shows the 23-year old within arms reach of his audience, has caused a wave of outrage online after it was established that a fan groped Harry's crotch

The singer abruptly returned to the centre of the stage after a sea of hands rushed out to the touch him, and many of his fans and followers have been quick to condemn the actions of those involved.

With the help of the #RespectHarry hashtag, social media users have discussed the double standards at play by those who have dismissed the incident.

"No one should be ever be touched in a sexual way without consent, no one. I’m deeply sorry that happened," wrote one member of the public.

"This is so disrespectful! You have absolutely no right to call yourself a 'fan' after this, it's so messed up," added another.

No matter how old you get or how far away you move, the Late Late Toy Show will forever have a place in your heart, right?

And if you're one of thousands who want in on the live action, it's time to bring your A-game as applications for the most sought after seats in Ireland are opening today!

As The Late Late Toy Show regional auditions kicked off at the Clayton Hotel in Cork this morning, host Ryan Tubridy launched the application process for tickets.

And if you think getting your hand on one will be a walk in the park, it's worth noting that 140,000 applications were processed for last year's extravaganza.

Commenting on the popularity of the Irish institution, Ryan said: “I cannot tell you how often I am asked about Toy Show tickets."

"It really is quite extraordinary how popular they are. I am asked about them everywhere I go and the worst part about it is that I have to disappoint which I hate to do! My best advice is to get those applications in good and early and keep your fingers crossed – this year it could be you.”

This week The Late Late Toy Show hits the road to audition performers throughout the country as they hope to make it into the cast of this year’s programme.

Over the course of three days, The Late Late Toy Show team will see hundreds of budding hopefuls, meeting the best of Ireland’s young singers, dancers, musicians and performers.

This year the regional auditions are hitting Cork, Galway and Mullingar with young performers from all over Ireland expected to take part.

The auditions are invitation-only with auditionees drawn from thousands of applications received over the summer months.

During the tour, the Toy Show team will be looking for fun, talented performers to take part in some of the night’s big set pieces as well as toy demonstrators who have the potential to charm the nation while chatting to the biggest kid of them all, Ryan.

This year’s Late Late Toy Show airs on RTÉ One on Friday, December 1.

Oh and here's a quick word to the wise; applications for Toy Show tickets are processed separately to applications for tickets to the regular Late Late and each year the application process starts anew.

So, even if you have applied for Toy Show tickets before or are already in the running for seats at the main show, to be in with a chance to get tickets to this year’s Toy Show, you must apply separately here. Applications via social media or email will not be counted.

Tickets are issued in a random lottery and those lucky enough to secure a seat will be notified closer to broadcast.

May the odds be in your favour, ladies.

If there's one thing we're all really good at, it's ripping it out of our siblings.

We have, however, yet to amass more than 20,000 social media followers with our efforts. (Amazing and all as they are, natch.)

But one woman, who has literally created an Instagram account dedicated to mocking her brother, has recently explained the motivation behind her efforts.

Speaking to The Huffington Post, Katina Behm explained that she was photographing her baby son, Augie, when she realised the questionable pose he was working would likely have appeared in her brother, Aristotle's modelling portfolio.

And sure enough it did.

With that, Katina decided to have her 18-month-old son recreate his uncle's modelling shoots, and the results are so much funnier than we would have initially anticipated.

"I’m so proud of him [Aris] because he’s out there doing his thing and following his passion, but it’s hard not to rip on him a little bit," Katina explains.

"Some of his modeling pictures are hilarious, but he doesn’t take himself too seriously which is good because I get such a kick out of recreating them with Augie."

And we get a kick out of looking at them…

Three people lost their lives last Monday during the worst storm Ireland has seen in decades, and tragically the death toll continues to rise.

Over the course of the past two days, two men died while carrying out separate repairs in the aftermath of Storm Ophelia.

On Saturday, a man in his mid 70s, who was repairing his farm shed in Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow, died after falling from a ladder.

The following day, a man in his mid 50s died after sustaining injuries while repairing the roof of a shed in Kilgarriff outside Clonakilty in west Cork.

As per protocol, the Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority will conduct investigations into the incidents.

According to The Independent, post mortems will be carried out in both cases.

Clare O'Neill, Fintan Goss, Michael Pyke all died last Monday in tree-related incidents.

So, the reason we (and the rest of the world) love memes so much is because they are so damn relatable.

For every one of life's peaks and pitfalls, there's a meme out there to match it.

And it's for the very same reason we've become utterly obsessed with Matt Shirley's Instagram account here at SHEmazing HQ.

I was thinking about the weekend so I decided to compare the two days.

In a move which has amassed him more than 26,000 followers, Matt addresses the ups and downs of daily life with the help of some handy graphs and pie-charts.

We'll be honest; over the course of the last year, we've found ourselves utterly captivated by Luna Simone Stephens.

While some celebrity couples choose not to share footage of their children online, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are only thrilled to give fans and followers an insight into family life with their baby daughter.

And we're here for it.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, 31-year-old Chrissy shared footage of her baby daughter getting to grips with her first set of words, and it's as adorable as you'd expect.
