The office is closed, the fire is lit, there's a glass of wine with your name on it and a TV just waiting to be watched.

That's right, the Christmas holidays are just around the corner, and with that, it's about time we start planning how what we're going to watch during all those cosy evenings spent by the fire.

After all, it wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't watch an unholy amount of cheesy films, right?

Here's our top picks:

1. Elf

One of our all time favourites!

Nothing fills us with the joys of Christmas quite like a watching Buddy The Elf attempt to navigate the Big Apple and find his birth father, Walter Hobbs.

His child-like behaviour and joyous attitude may be a little over the top for the business types of NYC, but even the most cynical among us are no match for his Christmas spirit.

2. The Santa Clause

Growing up in 1990's Ireland, three things heralded the arrival of Christmas over all others – 1. The Late Late Toy Show (obviously), 2. Seeing the Coca-cola ad on TV for the first time, and 3. Staying up late to watch what is arguably Tim Allen's greatest performance on RTÉ

Sure, the story starts off on a bit of grim note, but seeing Scott (aka the new Santa Clause) rise to the occasion for the sake of his son reminds us what Christmas is all about.

3. Love Actually

Is it just us, or is it hard to believe that Richard Curtis' festive masterpiece is 14-years-old?

Love Actually tells ten interweaving stories of love around Christmas time, and has cemented itself as a holiday tradition in many households across the country.

Cry, laugh and ask what love actually is with an all-star cast featuring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Kiera Knightley, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman, to name just a few.

4. The Holiday

A modern classic that is often overshadowed by other festive favourites.

Starring Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black, this Yueltide romantic comedy tells the story of two women who embark on a house exchange after shortcomings in their love lives leave them yearning for change.

A tale full of love, loss and warm fuzzy feelings – everything we look for in a Christmas comedy.

5. Home Alone

No Christmas movie list would be complete without a visit to the McCallister's house.

Sure, child negligence doesn't exactly scream Christmas spirit, but Macaulay Culkin's charming performance makes this a must-watch ever single year.

Admit it, you pretty much know the script off by heart at this stage.

6. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Tim Burton's fantastical animation is unique in that it can be enjoyed at Halloween and Christmas time alike.

And while most people generally wouldn't associate one with the other, The Nightmare Before Christmas manages to strike the perfect balance between light and dark.

A Christmas film even the biggest scrooges can get on board with – it's win win!

7. About A Boy

Not the most traditional of Christmas films, but hey, when the main character lives off the royalties of song called Santa's Super Sleigh, we're willing to make an exception.

The story follows the unlikely friendship between a wealthy bachelor and a bullied schoolboy as they gain a new appreciation for life and the importance of family.

And if that doesn't scream Christmas time, we don't know what does.

Meryl Streep has become the target of a new street art campaign in Los Angeles after she denied knowledge of any alleged incidents of sexual misconduct involving Harvey Weinstein.

A number of posters showing the actress smiling alongside the disgraced producer have appeared across the city.

Covering her eyes is a red banner displaying a very clear message – “She knew.”

The poster campaign was launched just one day after the 68-year-old released a statement claiming that she “did not know about Weinstein’s crimes.”

“I wasn’t deliberately silent. I didn’t know. I don’t tacitly approve of rape. I didn’t know. I don’t like young women being assaulted. I didn’t know this was happening,” she told Fox News.

The statement came after Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan, criticised the actress after she revealed she would be wearing black to the upcoming Golden Globes as a silent protest against sexual misconduct in the industry.

“Actresses, like Meryl Streep, who happily worked for The Pig Monster, are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest,” McGowan said in a now-deleted tweet.

“YOUR SILENCE is THE problem. You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect no real change. I despise your hypocrisy.

The campaign has sparked a huge reaction from Twitter users:

Dancing on night out can be tricky business.

Some people take to the dance floor like a duck takes to water, while others wouldn't dream of strutting their stuff without a generous helping of liquid courage.

Well it turns out the later of the two might actually have the best moves, because science has found that on average, our dancing skills peak after consuming one bottle of wine – no more, no less.

According to Metro, researchers at The Times have been investigating how alcohol effects our ability to bust a move, and one bottle of wine seems to be the magic number.

Any more than this and “things deteriorate catastrophically.”

For the study, researchers asked 55 people to play a dancing game on the Xbox.

Each participant then asked to track their alcohol consumption throughout the evening – and the result were interesting to say the least.

The average score of the sober players? – 4,400 points. The average score of players six drinks deep? – 6,200.

That's a 50 per cent improvement overall.

However, once players drank over this amount, scores began to fall to a measly 4,000.

David Nutt, professor of neuropsychopharmacoloy at Imperial College London reckons the results are due to alcohol's ability to squash inhibitions.

So, there you have – there's a secret dancing queen inside all of us, she just needs a bottle of wine to come alive!

There is no situation that cannot be helped with the application of tan. Stepping into a glow of confidence when you feel a little bleak can do wonders for the mind. Think of it as a shield, transforming us from pasty to healthy, as we face our daily battles- straight up therapeutic.

But there are certain issues that come with choosing the right tan. Is the post-tan break-out and skin irritation worth the happy glow? Is it safe to apply? Many of us have chosen to avoid items that put our furry friends in danger during production. A few days of feeling like a queen can come with consequences, so the careful selection of tan is a must and it can be hard to find a tan that ticks every box…

However, we reckon CatwalkHQ tan ticks all these boxes and more! SHEmazing is mad about this one gals, and we’ve come up with a few reasons why:

1. It's safe

Anyone whose body is under pressure will struggle to find a safe tan. CatwalkHQ tan is the perfect remedy, safe for pregnant women as well as anyone going through chemotherapy. Your body works on overdrive when it’s fighting obstacles or creating life. The temple of your being deserves a tantastic treat, at the very least!

2. Nature loves CatwalkHQ

We are becoming increasingly aware that our beauty products can have negative effects on the natural world. There seems to be no point in changing diet to benefit our furry friends without considering skin products. CatwalkHQ tan is vegan-friendly and can boast cruelty-free production! You can keep your tan-obsession with the comforting knowledge that the critters are considered!

3. The mitt has a thumb

You will not realise how much you need your thumb until you use a mitt that excludes this divisive digit. CatwalkHQ has taken manual anatomy on board, providing us with thumb function for access to those curves and crevices that shouldn't be ignored. The result? A more even-looking tan, natural and flawless!

4. It's skin-safe

In every house, there is someone who suffers from skin irritation. From eczema to psoriasis, tan can be an obstacle. The genius of CatwalkHQ has solved our tan-stacles by catering to those whose skin acts-up. With high levels of hyaluronic acid and a list of natural ingredients, this tan actually hydrates the skin and will not irritate dryness- a skin superfood!

5. That Glow, tho

CatwalkHQ tan comes in two shades, medium and dark. Choose depending on your unique skin tone and the nature of the occasion! A night out with the girls could warrant a sunnier tone and a wedding may call for a classic glow.

6. It's quick-drying

Quick-dry factors can make all the difference in busy lives. This tan takes a minute to dry and 2-4 hours to develop. Layers of mousse can be applied when necessary, but the result is the same- no scales or patches, just a natural looking tan!

An innovative tan that looks fab, nourishes and ensures critter protection- too good to be true?! SHEmazing is in love with this all-rounder!

It's official!

Lady Gaga last night confirmed details of a two-year-long Las Vegas residency at MGM's 5,300-seat Park Theatre.

Following in the footsteps of fellow artists Britney Spears, Elton John and Shania Twain, the Born This Way singer has vowed to leave her “heart on the stage every single night”.

The residency is scheduled to begin in December 2018 and Gaga can hardly contain her excitement.

"It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas," she said in a statement announcing the shows.

"It's the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli."

"I am humbled to be a part of a historical lineup of performers, and to have the honour of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before."

According to Variety, the star looks set to earn over $75m during the 74-day residency.

The 31-one-year has spent most of 2017 touring her latest album, Joanne, though she had to postpone some dates after experiencing "severe physical pain" arising from the medical condition fibromyalgia.

Catt Sadler has left her role at E! News after more than a decade with the US television network.

The star revealed her departure in a tweet posted on Monday saying: “It’s true. Today will be my last day on #DailyPop and @enews. I hope you’ll tune in so I can thank you for the memories. I love you guys SO much it hurts.”

In a statement posted on her website, the 43-year-old news anchor confirmed that she made the decision after learning of a “massive disparity in pay” between her and co-host Jason Kennedy.

“An executive from E! brought something alarming to my attention — namely, that there was a massive disparity in pay between my similarly situated male co-host and myself,” she wrote.

Catt went on to reveal the scale of the pay gap, explaining how her male co-anchor had been earning almost twice her salary for the past number of years.

“More recently, when E! reached out to renew and extend my deal, I learned that he wasn’t just making a little more than I was. In fact, he was making close to double my salary for the past several years,” she continued.

“Know your worth.  I have two decades experience in broadcasting and started at the network the very same year as my close friend and colleague that I adore.”

She continued: “It was important for me to explain my departure. I did not want to disappear from your television screens and have you wonder why. Thank you for your precious time all these years. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the constant exchange of ideas on social media as well. This chapter is over and a new one begins.”

According to reports, while Catt did attempt to negotiate for equal pay, the network offered her a number that was “not even remotely close” to Jason's salary.

Speaking to People magazine the mother-of-two said: "It's almost insulting because you know you work really hard. I'm a single mom of two kids. I've given my all to this network.

"I've sacrificed time away from my family and I have dedicated my entire career to this network. And when you learn something like that, it makes you feel very small and underappreciated and undervalued. It's heartbreaking…”

Fan were quick to offer Catt messages of love and support:

Skeptical fans questioned whether or not the pair had actually reached a truce, with one user asking: “Your not going to have a meltdown on here come Christmas day are you Liam when NG doesnt reach out to you.”

To which Liam replied: “He's already reached out.”

Eva Longoria Bastón is pregnant with her first child, a boy, the actress' rep confirmed to People

The 42-year-old expecting mum still has a while to go until her little bundle of joy arrives, as she is just four months along in her pregnancy.

Last October, the silver screen vixen told E! News that she would welcome motherhood, saying, "If it’s meant to be, it would be a blessing."

It seems her blessing has come! She and husband José Antonio 'Pepe' Bastón must be ecstatic.

The former Desperate Housewives star and her 49-year-old hubby married in Mexico in May 2016.

The dad-to-be is president of Televisa, Latin America's largest media company.

They certainly make a power couple!

Eva was previously married to actor Tyler Christopher and later, NBA player Tony Parker in 2011.

"When Pepe and I met, I said I didn't ever want to get married again," the Golden Globe-nominated actress explained last year. "He said, 'Great, me neither.' And here we are!"

José, or Pepe, has two children from a previous marriage: daughter Tali, 21, and twins Jose and Mariana, 13. Eva seems to love being a stepmum, so we're sure motherhood will be a piece of cake for her.

Congratulations to Eva and José on their growing family!
