So, unless you've been living under a rock, you will know that Derry Girls hit our screens in January.

It is a sitcom created and written by Lisa McGee, set in Derry, Northern Ireland, in 1994.

The show follows the lives of Erin, her cousin Orla and their friends Clare, Michelle and Michelle's English cousin, James, as they navigate their teens in Derry during the Troubles.

Needless to say, it has been a MASSIVE success.

Anyhoo, the final episode of the first season aired last week, and we were glued to our screens.

So, in response to the unreal finale, here is a round up of the best Twitter reactions to the episode:

Dubliners listen up!

As if our heads weren't big enough already, now the lads and ladies hailing from the capital city have been voted the biggest heart-throbs in all the land.

According to romantic new research from leading hotel group, Jurys Inn, the people of Dublin are in high demand, with the men being voted most handsome (28 per cent) and the women most beautiful (27 per cent) out of all 32 counties.

A survey of 1,000 Irish people showed that 21 per cent think Dublin 'stun-huns' are the best people to settle down with, closely followed by the gorgeous people of Galway (16 per cent).

Looks aside, when it comes to accents the dulcet Donegal tones take the top spot, with 37 per cent of people voting it the most attractive in Ireland.

Looking abroad, a quarter of Irish people believe people from France have the best accents in the world, followed closely by the Aussies (18 per cent) and Italians (17 per cent).

According to the survey, Italians, Scandinavian, French, and Spanish men all rank amongst the best looking. The most beautiful women are said to come from Scandinavia, Italy and Spain, while the British and Canadians were considered to be the best marriage material.

Commenting on the findings, Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing at Jurys Inn, said: “Valentine’s Day has become a fun day for all to pamper people they love, whether it’s a romantic, familial or platonic relationship.”

“While our research has some playful findings, it also shows that the Irish have a lot of love to give! At Jurys Inn, we host a number of Valentine’s visits ranging from couples coming to spoil their sweethearts with a weekend break to groups of friends heading out in the city to celebrate being single!”

For those of you not familiar with the concept of a 'free pass', it's basically a permission that couples grant each other allowing them to kiss their celebrity crush without it being considered unfaithful.

A fun and cheeky idea that may actually (albeit, not likely) come back to bite you one day – but hey, if Kit Harrington was desperate for a smooch, who are we to deny him.

According to new research conducted by NOW TV, a quarter of Irish would consider giving their partner a 'free pass', with participants even revealing whether they'd shift or drift from certain celebrities.

Rather unsurprisingly, Jamie Dornan took home the crown for the male celebrity most people wanted to shift, with 32 per cent saying they'd use their free pass on the Northern babe.

He was followed closely by Hugh Jackman (15 per cent), while Emma Watson (34 per cent), Sarah Hyland (16 per cent) and Dakota Johnson (14 per cent) were the most desired female celebs.

According to the NOW TV survey, a very open-minded 25% of Irish couples already have a free pass arrangement in place. However, not all would use that for a quickie with their celebrity crush.

Almost a third (30 per cent) of respondents said that if given the chance, they would tell their partner that they are the most stubborn person they know – ouch!

The next most irritating qualities that couples would highlight to their other halves include taking up too much of the bed and being extremely messy. It was also discovered that more women (22 per cent ) than men (14 per cent ) would like to tell their partner they’re too dramatic.

However, it looks like we're still romantics at heart, because while we might be a cynical bunch for the other 364 days of th year, three in four Irish adults say they will mark Valentine’s Day with their other half on February 14th with a romantic dinner or a weekend away (27 per cent each) is considered to be the perfect gift.

OK, so at this point we all know the Dublin rental market is having a bit of a nervous breakdown.

Online property searches are over-flowing with shared rooms, outrageous rents and cramped bedsits, and it doesn't look like it's going to change any time soon.

However, every now and again, after what feels like days of scrolling, you'll come across a property that ticks all the boxes – (only for it to be snapped up before you even got a look in).

But never fear, because in an effort to help you beautiful people with your room search, we've done some digging and uncovered six Dublin properties under €600 – and there's not a bunk bed in sight.

Churchtown, Dublin 14 – €550 per month

Double bed, built in wardrobe and enough room for a free-standing full-length mirror – what more could you want?

The converted attic in Churchtown is practically palatial in comparison to some of the dingy student digs we've been subjected to over the years – just look at all that floor space!

You'll be sharing with three girls and one guys in their 20s and 30s, and it's within walking distance from Dundrum Town Centre, Nutgrove Shopping Centre & the Dundrum LUAS stop – perfect if you're commuting in and out of town everyday.

Kimmage, Dublin 6w – €450 per month

The price tag isn't the only attractive thing about this property. A double bedroom, nifty communal living area and off-street parking make it the perfect house for anyone looking for good company and relaxed vibes.

According to the listing, the house is currently occupied by three easy going professionals in their late twenties to early thirties, and their looking for someone similar to join their gang.

Sure the room itself is lacking a little when it comes to space, but given that the price is well below average Dublin rents at the minute, we're willing to loom past that.

Harold's Cross, Dublin 6 – €400 per month

Nope, we haven't magically travelled back in time to 2015. This cosy room in the sought-after Dublin 6 area is actually going for €400 per month.

Located right in between Rathmines and Harold's Cross, the property is within walking distance from town and close to all local amenities.

The new occupant will be sharing with two guys and one girl who promise "chilled, relaxed vibes all round."

Terenure, Dublin 6 – €500 per month

Again, not the most spacious living space you'll find in the capital city, but it's convenient location, decent price tag and inviting communal areas helped it to earn a place on our list.

Currently occupied by 3 male professionals, both lads and ladies are invited to view the available box room.

It's a 20-minute cycle to the city centre, or if like us you'd rather leave the bike at home, the 15 and 16 bus routes will drop you straight into the hustle and bustle.

Rialto, Dublin 8 – €550 per month

According to the ad, the ideal candidate will:
1. Always have Netflix suggestions.
2. Join in on trips to Ikea.
3. Take on their fair share of cleaning.
4. Not smoke inside (like ever.)
5. Be generally sound.

Sound like you?

You'll be sharing with two young professionals in their mid twenties who enjoy wine and chats and movie nights (with their brand new projector!).

Harold's Cross, Dublin 6 – €550

Front facing room with good storage and central heating? – Sounds like we're on to a winner already.

Bills include gas and electricity only (the landlord pays for bins and TV licence) and broadband is €20 per month.

The house is currently occupied by two gals in their early 30 who are only too fond of vino, game of thrones, and pizza – perfection!

Part of what makes the Beckham family so awesome is that they're a tight-knit unit and despite the pressures of being in the public eye, they prioritise what's important.

Victoria Beckham recently enjoyed an ADORABLE moment with her family at the end of her New York catwalk show.

We're actually overwhelmed tbh.

As she wrapped up her tenth anniversary show, he designer came onto the runway to hug David and her kiddos Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

If that doesn't spice up your life, well we're at a loss.

She paused in the doorway, and then immediately headed over to her family, taking time to give a little kiss to everyone – and Instagram was HERE FOR IT.

The family members have been known to frequent the FROW, showing support to their gorgeous mum.

If that isn't family goals for you, we don't know what is…

Today, February 11, is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and to mark the occasion, we're celebrating some of the most influential females scientists throughout the years.

Despite numerous push-backs and disregard from male colleagues, these women persevered to make some of the greatest breakthroughs in scientific history, paving the way for millions of young women and girls to enter what was traditionally a male-dominated industry.

From modern day technology to the treatment of some of the world's most deadly diseases, here are just some of the amazing discoveries that have been made by talent women in science.

The X-ray

Marie Curie is one of the first names that come to mind when we think of women in science, and there's a very good reason for that.

As a woman in Warsaw, Marie was not allowed to attend college and was therefore forced to obtain a secret education before moving to Paris to get her degree.

It was here that the physicist met her husband, Pierre Curie. The pair worked together on Marie's research on the radioactivity of uranium and the pair went on to win the Nobel Prize in physics in 1903. The win made Marie the first women to ever receive the prestigious award.

While the existence of X-rays was discovered by Wilhelm Roetgen in 1895, Marie's work contributed greatly to the science behind the medical device as we know it.

AIDS / HIV

Françoise Barré-Sinoussi a French virologist and Director of the Regulation of Retroviral Infections Division, performed some of the fundamental work in the identification of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) as the cause of AIDS.

Since that discovery in the early 1980s, Françoise has dedicated her life to the fight against AIDS and has advocated for people living with HIV around the world.

Françoise was elected to the International AIDS Society (IAS) Governing Council in 2006 and served as President from 2012 to 2014.

Stars

"There is no joy more intense than that of coming upon a fact that cannot be understood in terms of currently accepted ideas."
—Cecilia Payne

An English-born Cambridge University student, Cecilia asked the question; what are stars made of?

And while most of us would just give up there, she actually went on to find an answer.

After hearing the astronomer Arthur Eddington give a public lecture on his recent expedition to observe the 1919 solar eclipse, Cecilia knew physics was the career for her.

After moving to the US to continue her studies, she completed her Ph.D on the composition of stars – a breakthrough result in the field of astrophysics.

Despite being one of the most brilliant and creative astronomers of the twentieth century, Cecilia Payne was never elected to the elite National Academy of Sciences.

However, in 1956, she was finally made a full professor (the first woman so recognised at Harvard) and chair of the Astronomy Department.

The weekend may be coming to an end, but we already know what'll we'll be sipping on next Friday night.

Always on the lookout for exciting cocktail ideas, we couldn't believe our luck when luck when we came across this winning combination.

Baked apple and salted caramel gin.

Yep. You read that right. The deliciously sweet alcohol flavour is now a thing, and we're pretty sure it's as delicious as it sounds.

Created by Master of Malt, a 50cl bottle sells for roughly €22.50 online.

Described as having a "tempting aroma of spiced apple" that "lures you in", the sumptuously sweet liqueur would be a welcome addition to any drink cabinet.

Straight on the rocks, mixed with tonic, poured over ice-cream; the possibilities are endless.

We've a feeling we may have just found our new favourite drink.

OK, in case you haven't noticed already, the girls here at SHEmazing HQ are just a little bit obsessed with Penneys' beauty products.

From build-your-own eyeshadow palettes to lip kit dupes, the PS beauty range is packed with high-quality products – minus the extortionate price tag.

We fell in love with the collection upon its release in 2014, and it has remained a staple in our makeup bags ever since.

And it looks like we're not the only ones that feel this way.

Kattan, or @hudabeauty as she's known to her 24 million Instagram followers, is a beauty blogger/ makeup artist turned businesswoman.

Famous for her Kardashian-like looks and owner of her own business, Huda Beauty, it's safe to say Kattan knows a thing or two about makeup – which is why we were delighted to hear that she's a huge fan of Penneys' budget beauty range.

Reviewing the PS liquid lipstick, the MUA admitted that the bronze shade was "surprisingly pigmented", but did warn users that they should expect to reapply.

Next, she tried the brand's Diamond Lip Toppers which she said give a pretty shimmer to lips that are not in your face or excessively glittery” and “smell like the sweet glosses of the 90s, but we love the throwback.”

According to The Independent, while she did note that the collection's packaging is not very high quality, the beauty mogul said she loves "that this gives you the chance to play, especially if you’re not massively into makeup or just want to try out new trends.”

Describing the range as the "best thing we've discovered this year", Kattan was hugely impressed at the cost saying: “You could probably fill an entire makeup bag for less than £30.”

That pretty much sells it for us tbh.

We were SO ready to see The Spice Girls on tour. We memorised the lyrics to Wannabe, we’ve been practicing our best dance moves, and we’ve been warming up our vocal chords, but it looks like all our hard work has gone to waste.

Victoria Beckham has broken our hearts by revealing that the girls have no plans to go back on tour. She told Vogue, “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”

Rumours have been circulating that the pop band would embark on a tour across the United Kingdom and the US, however, Victoria shared that touring is not an option for the singers.

Great catch up with my girls! #bffs always  the future is looking spicy!

However, The Spice Girls are planning something very special, with Geri aiming high with the hopes of performing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

Despite their dream of singing Spice Up Your Life at the wedding of the year, the fashion designer confirmed that the girls are still figuring out what they want to do in the future.

"There's something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like?” she revealed.

Love u all so much!!! X Such a great day!! Thank u Simon! X VB

“She added, “We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming.”

Speaking of their reunion, Victoria praised her bandmates, “It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely.”

Victoria still speaks to Mel C, Emma, Mel B and Geri individually, but she shared that being together again was really lovely.

The Spice Girls may not be going on a world tour, but we’re sure whatever they’re planning will be seriously exciting.
