Marie Stropes, a UK-based clinic that provides contraception and safe abortion services has dismissed rumours that the organisation is to set up a branch in Dublin.

Pro-life campaigners Save the 8th claimed that the provider, which has a helpline for women in the Republic of Ireland, was seeking site locations for an Irish clinic.

As it stands, Marie Stropes has no plans to set up on Irish shores, though they did say they are following the repeal movement and are watching the upcoming referendum with interest.

Speaking to Newstalk, a spokesperson said: "We don't think it's right that women have to cross a sea to receive safe, legal abortion care, and we hope the upcoming referendum will be the first step in addressing this.

"Women deserve better than the law as it stands."

Figures released during a recent government debate showed that 3,000 Irish women travelled to the UK to access abortion services in 2016 – leaving Health Minister Simon Harris to ask what those women would have done if it wasn't for our neighbouring island.

“I can’t help but wonder what we would have done if we didn’t have a neighbouring island to help us turn a blind eye. And sometimes turning a blind eye is the same as turning your back.”

The Government have agreed to draft a Bill that would allow a referendum on the Eighth Amendment to take place, though the wording of the bill has not yet been finalised.

A referendum on the Eighth Amendment of the Irish Constitution will be held in late May or early June.

'I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,' she wrote in a text post to her page two days ago revealing all.

''I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all of my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world.'

'I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free and healthy way I knew how.'

Woman feel societal pressure to slim down every day of the week, and that pressure can become intensified on the journey to walking down the aisle.

Losing weight for your wedding has become the norm, with bridal fitness classes and crash diets littering the internet.

Thankfully, the body positivity community has made gorgeous plus size brides more visible, but the pressure remains for many, and this can manifest in damaging slogans on workout products targeted towards brides-to-be.

One water bottle advertised on ASOS carries the slogan 'Shedding for the Wedding,' encouraging brides to tone their muscles for the big day.

Discovered and tweeted by Danish body positive comedian Sofie Hagen, the responses under her original tweet are beyond hilarious.

Rather than acknowledging the sad truth that the bottle is referring to toning up for the big day, Twitter users are responding with alternative meanings for the term 'shredding' and we're kind of living for it.

Check them out for yourself for a bit of a laugh, but please remember: The only thing to shed from this situation is body negativity.

These legendary unicorn pancakes with marshmallow sauce are exactly the type of delight everyone needs to experience.

They're SO easy to make – so no excuses!

Ingredients for the pancakes

  • 115g plain flour

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1tsp Dr. Oetker baking powder

  • Caster sugar

  • 1 large egg (beaten)

  • 100ml whole milk

  • 100g Dr. Oetker unicorn chips

  • 10ml vegetable oil

Ingredients for marshmallow sauce

  • 100g Dr. Oetker heart marshmallows

  • 100ml of double cream

Recipe for pancakes

  1. Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the egg and milk and gradually whisk into the dry ingredients until well blended. Stir in the unicorn chips.

  2. Heat a heavy based frying pan or griddle pan, add some of the oil and allow to heat, then drop 2 tablespoons of the batter into the pan to make each pancake.

  3. Cook over a medium heat until bubbles appear, this takes about 2 minutes. Flip the pancake over with a slice or palette knife to cook the other side until it is golden brown.

  4. Lift pancakes onto a cooling rack that is covered with kitchen towel and place more kitchen towel lightly on the top. Cook all the batter and if necessary add more oil to the pan.

  5. To decorate, break the white chocolate into a heatproof bowl and stand over a saucepan of barely simmering water until melted. Remove from the water and cool for 10 minutes.

Recipe for marshmallow sauce

  1. In a saucepan, gently melt the heart marshmallows with the cream. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools. It can be reheated gently if needs be.

The public have voted, results are in, and the Irish accent is officially the sexiest accent going!

We always knew that our beautiful brogues were admired across the world, but there's something about actual statistics that make us feel that bit more smug.

A survey of British singletons found that the Irish twang was the most desired in a potential partner, while the regional dialects of Liverpool, Glasgow and Birmingham were deemed the least attractive.

The tone of someone's voice seemed to be a deciding factor when choosing a potential partner, with two thirds of those surveyed admitting they couldn't be with someone who had an annoying voice.

What's more, 25 per cent revealed they had dumped someone for having a physical trait or habit that they did not like.

Terrible teeth and talking with their mouth full topped the list of unsavoury attributes.

Paul Hunt, managing director of V2Cigs which conducted the poll, said: “It seems the British public are quite choosey about who they go out with but remember it’s not all about looks and habits."

Cigarettes also proved to be a major turn-off with over half of women saying they wouldn't date a man who smoked.

That said, more tha half of all smokers who took part in the poll said they would be willing to ditch the cigs if a date was on the cards.

So, if you're a non-smoker, chew with your mouth closed and hail from the Emerald Isle, you're pretty much in there.

Now more than ever, women (and men) are embracing their insecurities, whether it be their size, hair colour or skin.

This is a message we support 100%, and we find it so refreshing when people support eachother and spread messages of support.

One lovely lady who is doing just that is MUA Bronya Humphreys, who suffers from facial eczema.

Bronya's condition, which she was born with, took a turn for the worse after she gave birth to her ADORABLE daughter.

Here is a little side by side. I've been trying to be more confident regarding my skin, as it's so bad I currently struggle to leave the house I'm so embarrassed of my eczema. Thank you for all the kind comments I've received on my last post. I want to prove that you can be beautiful even without makeup. Skin condition and all. I love the way I look when I'm fully glammed, but that's only one side of me. The other side is someone who is a human; with human emotions and gets hurt just like any of you. I want to show you that both sides of me are beautiful, and both sides of you are beautiful too! You do you. Whether you want to wear makeup everyday, or like me you need to take time off to care for yourself and look after your skin. Whatever you do, do it with confidence:) #confidence #sidebyside #bareskin #natural #makeup

Despite the fact that she finds herself dealing with her eczema every day – she still focuses on what she loves.

Makeup is Bronya's passion, and she is bloody good at it.

It would be easy enough for the mum-of-one to ditch the pursuit of makeup, due to the fact that it involves showing her skin off to the world.

However, she perseveres, refusing to let her condition get the better of her.

In a recent post on Instagram, Bronya spoke about her skin, and what it is like to live with such severe eczema:

'I have eczema. I have a skin condition. I have had so many hateful comments recently regarding how I look. When I wear makeup they say I'm fake. When I don't I'm a gross zombie. And can I just say, I am not my skin condition.'

She continued: 'I am a lovely, caring, beautiful human, and you don't deserve to even be on my page let alone be leaving awful comments on my pictures. All I want on my page is to promote self love. You are all fantastic.'

The talented MUA then reminded her 71,000 followers that they are all amazing, no matter what.

'You are all brilliant. Please. Please. Please. Ignore everyone who makes awful comments. YOU ARE AMAZING. Since I got a lot of followers I have had so many hateful comments. Just because I have a lot of followers doesn't mean I don't have feelings!'

'Basically what I'm trying to say is f**k anyone that shits on you. You are so much better than that. I love you all. Chin up. There's a lot of hate in this world but I'm there for you. Shoot me a message. I may take a while to get back to you but I'll be there for you.'

Now, that is a message we can get behind! Bronya, you are a KWEEN.

So, if you're currently on the market for a romantic partner, or are just having fun seeing what's out there, you'll know that the world of dating isn't as simple as we were led to believe.

From pre-date social stalking to differing political stances, there are so many things we must consider when sussing out our potential suitors.

'When will I add them on social media?', 'what are their views on abortion?', 'are they ever going to put their bloody phone down? – I'm sitting right here!'

In a effort to shed some light on some of today's dating dos and dont's, Match.com commissioned Research Now to conduct their eighth annual Singles in America survey, where they questioned more than 5,000 single guys and gals about their romantic preferences.

Firstly, results showed that 75 per cent of participants said they would connect with their new love interest on Facebook after just a few dates, while 36 per cent revealed they would follow them on Instagram and 34 per cent would add them on Snapchat.

According to millennials, politics and love go hand in hand nowadays with 54 per cent of singletons saying it's important for them to know their partner's political views.

That being said, only 23 per cent said they would broach the topic on a first date and 72 per cent admitted they would consider choosing love over politics if it really came down to it.

94 per cent of women surveyed said they enjoyed it when their date complimented their appearance while 91 per cent admitted they preferred it when the man paid the bill.

The constant checking of phones and general tardiness turned out to be the biggest dating deal-breakers with 90 per cent of women saying that showing up late and an over-reliance on technology were both huge turn-offs.

So ladies, do you agree? Tell us your biggest dating dos and dont's.

The parents decided to call their third daughter Minnie Theodora, or "Miss Minnie".

Lisa also shared the same snap of their little girl on her Instagram account, "The final member of my little girl squad. Everyone, meet the angelic, Miss Minnie.”

Alongside the photo of his newborn, Jack wrote, “Hey everyone, meet Minnie! She’s the newest member of my girls only squad. (Andy stole the “I” from inch) #girlsrule #playerscurse #happydaddy #hatchling”

There’s something extra special about their daughter’s name. In 2013, Jack and Lisa revealed that they were expecting their second baby, however, Lisa miscarried during her second trimester.

The parents shared that their unborn child would have been a boy named Theo. Choosing Theodora as their daughter’s middle name is a beautiful way to honour their late-son.

Jack has two other daughters- 5-year-old Pearl and two-year-old Andy.

We are thrilled for both Jack and Lisa.
