Pink has had enough of social media trolls when it comes to her kids.

The singer, who regularly posts snaps of her two little ones, slammed the mean comments she received on a post of her young son.

The 39-year-old is mum to seven-year-old daughter Willow and two-year-old son Jameson.

She spoke on The Ellen Show about the ''rude, mean-spirited" comments she received after she posted a semi-nude image of her toddler son.

She said, ''Someone went as far as saying someone should call child services…some of the nastiest things. And I cried so hard after that. I won't share them anymore."

She went on to say that she understood people's concerns but that they could be kinder in their responses.

After posting a snap of her son and daughter and a pelican that had wandered into their home, it was the fact her son had taken his nappy off that accused issue among her followers.

Pink responded with, ''I deleted it because you’re all f*cking disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors, and the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives.''

She also received criticism after she posted a video of her son playing with cars and saying, "Ah, damn it."

She said, ''Some people were like: 'Nice language, I'm sure that came from you' and 'What kind of mother do you think you are?'''

She continued, ''And I understand people saying you need to be more careful because you are in the public eye and you should have thought of that – they're right. But there's a nice way to say that. There's a kind way to be online.''

She said the time was right to stop posting images of her daughter as she is getting older.

She said, ''It's probably time to pull her back from the world and let her live her best life."

We love Pink and her real posts about family life – but we applaud her choice to keep that part of her life private.

Whether it is her dislike for bloodsports or her fondness for breaking royal dress protocol, Meghan Markle has faced more scrutiny than any other royal spouse in recent memory.

The former actress has had every act dissected since she was first connected to her now husband, Prince Harry, and with the announcement of the couple’s first pregnancy, the fishbowl-like surveillance on Meghan’s every move increased ever further.

From critical articles claiming that Meghan has a vice-like control over her husband, leading to alleged distancing between Harry and his family, to accusations of animosity between Meghan and Kate Middleton, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge – Meghan has not been painted as a pleasant character by much of the media and the public.

Even George Clooney, a close friend to Meghan, told Who that Meghan ‘has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it’s history repeating itself,’ amid reports that he and wife Amal would be godparents to Baby Sussex.

Critique of the Duchess of Sussex has not eased off since the announcement of the conception of Baby Sussex, and so Meghan and Harry’s recent and somewhat controversial choice to keep their birth plan and child’s arrival a secret from the public is understandable.

On April 11, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to let the nation know that they would not be immediately sharing their birth experience and details of the royal arrival.

‘Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,’ the statement declared.

‘The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.’

So, unlike Kate and WIlliam’s three births, Meghan and Harry will not be descending the steps of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital with a new babe in arms following Meghan’s labour.

While it is true that the royal family has a duty to maintain a public image for those living under the monarchy, starting a family is a joyous concept that many of us reading this article has had the pleasure of experiencing – and having a baby is not a royal duty, nor a female duty, nor a wifely duty, it’s a cherished gift.

The apprehension, tension, excitement and often fear all culminating in the birth of a child, a love for whom you will share with your partner for as long as you both live, is overwhelming, and it seems unsurprising that Meghan may not want to culminate this sacred experience with a postpartum performance.

Even the beloved Princess Diana, Harry’s mum, admitted that ‘she had “felt the whole country was in labour’ with her, which is reflective of the level of surveillance placed on these women.

Juggling royal duty and the joy of motherhood cannot be easy (despite Kate making it look like an absolute dream), so perhaps Meghan knows that as her life, and by extension the life of her child, will be filled with public appearances, dutiful events and photo ops for eternity, she wants to keep a few cherished days or weeks with her baby to herself.

This longing for privacy doesn’t make her a ‘diva duchess’ or call for a ‘Mexit,’ it makes her a mum, a human, and displays the person she was before she traded her past life for one of public royal duty.

UK and global citizens alike may feel disappointment that they will not know immediately whether Baby Sussex is male or female, or how much they weighed at birth, or how the couple are feeling following Meghan’s labour, but the public will be privy to every detail of the child’s life from the moment Meghan and Harry go public onwards – and we need to accept that.

Labour and birth are difficult experiences, and Meghan’s reluctance to play a role once becoming a new mum is admirable – if the couple feel that some days of privacy are what is best for themselves and Baby Sussex, then who are we to parent-shame them for doing so?

With Doria Ragland’s arrival in the UK signifying that Meghan is soon due to give birth, we can only wait in hope that Baby Sussex has a safe arrival, and rejoice with the new parents when they feel comfortable enough to share their news with the world.

29-year-old journalist Lyra McKee will be laid to rest today. The writer’s funeral will take place at the Belfast Cathedral of St Anne. Thousands are expected to gather to say their goodbyes to the talented and compassionate journalist, including her loving family.

The family of Lyra issued a statement ahead of her funeral today. It reads: “On Thursday 18th April our beautiful Lyra was taken from us. A daughter, a sister, an aunt, a great-aunt, a partner, a niece, a cousin, and above all, a best friend and confidante to so many of us.”

“A friend to all, a gentle innocent soul who wouldn’t wish ill on anyone. Such a warm and innocent heart, she was the greatest listener, someone who had time for everyone. She was a smart, strong-minded woman who believed in passionately in inclusivity, justice and truth.

“Lyra spoke to and made friends with anybody and everybody, no matter what their background, those of all political views and those with none. This openness, and her desire to bring people together, made her totally apolitical.

“We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and love we have witnessed this past few days. It has been of immense solace that Lyra meant so much to so many. We ask everyone who knew Lyra to continue her message of positivity and hope, by respecting her memory with dignity and respect.

“We as a family know that the whole community has been touched by the events of Thursday night and that many are rightly angry. However, we would ask that Lyra’s life and her personal philosophy are used as an example to us all as we face this tragedy together.

“Lyra’s answer would have been simple, the only way to overcome hatred and intolerance is with love, understanding and kindness.

“We are a private family and would ask as a family that our privacy is respected at this impossibly difficult time. We will, in time, speak to you all, but need space and time in the coming days and weeks to deal with the trauma of Lyra’s sudden tragic death. Until that time, we would request that all media contact could be made via our legal representatives.”

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Lyra on this devastating day.

I must admit there have been nights when I’ve curled up in my bed with the remainder of the day's makeup still on my face. I’d go to bed feeling slightly guilty and fully aware that I’d be greeted by some delightful spots when I looked in the mirror the next morning.

As someone who suffers from acne, I’m usually really strict with my skincare regime, but I’m sure everyone’s had those nights when all you want to do is jump into bed and abandon your skincare routine.

One night won’t do any harm we mutter to ourselves, but we’re so wrong.

The best thing we can do after wearing makeup all day is to let your skin breathe.

Cleansing the skin is one step we should never avoid, especially if you’re wearing a lot of makeup on a daily basis.

Makeup artists Lauren Murphy and Elizabeth Rita shared their top skincare tips at the launch of Nivea’s MicellAIR Skin Breathe Professional range.

Both Lauren and Elizabeth said double cleansing is the best thing you can do to keep your skin feeling clean and looking healthy.

They explained how cleansing once removes the makeup, oil and dirt on your skin, which is essential but many of us are guilty of neglecting the double cleanse.

Lauren stressed the importance of double cleansing because the second time you cleanse actually cleans your skin leaving it feeling smooth and supple.

She also reminded us of the areas we tend to forget about when cleansing. Lauren said cleansing the hairline, jaw, neck and ear area is just as important as any other part.

We found a product that will encourage you to double cleanse every night, even when you come crawling home after drinking one too many G&T's.

The MicellAIR Professional Micellar Water is bound to become your new holy grail product this winter. It has a unique and innovative light-weight formula that effectively removes long-wear face and eye makeup while deeply cleansing the skin, in one easy step.

Pick up a bottle of the MicellAIR Professional Micellar Water for a mere €6.99. You can thank us later.

Chloë Grace Moretz has revealed she waitressed in a Dublin in prep for her latest movie, Greta

In the psychological thriller, the 22-year-old plays American waitress Frances McCullen and while the movie is set in New York, a lot of the filming took place in and around Dublin city.

She told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel that she asked Jordan if she could give waitressing a go, seeing as she never had a chance to.

She revealed, ''I hadn't ever done that, and in this story, I'm a waitress at a proper restaurant, a fairly nice restaurant and I talked to Neil Jordan, my director, and I said listen, I don't know how to do it.''

She continued, ''I know that it does take a lot to understand the workings of a restaurant and how to do it all. Can I go into a place and try it out? And he said ok, for sure. We found a place, we were filming in Ireland, in Dublin, and I did two days of training. Terrifying. And then they had me hit the floor.''

She added, ''I'm like, 'and would you like a cocktail, top-shelf liquor?' and just failing at it, trying to input it in the screen, don't know how to do that. The order goes in too early and they're mad because the food is cold and they had a gluten allergy they didn't tell me about, but they're mad at me for it. It was just a lot for me."

Yep, that sounds like an average days work for us…

4: Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Penguin)

This is no doubt one of the most talked about books of the year.

This book tells the tale of Daisy Jones and The Six, their rise to fame, their struggles and the reason they went their separate ways at the height of their fame.

Taylor Jenkins Reid shares their story through a series of interviews with the band members, their colleagues and families.

Trust me when I say you won’t be able to put this gripping and exciting book down once you start reading it. It is so perfectly written that you'll forget Daisy Jones and The Six are, in fact, a fictional band and you'll be hopelessly  looking them up on Spotify.
