We have always envied Adele’s style. The Chasing Pavements singer always oozes class and glamour and her latest look is no different.

The songstress attended Drake’s 33rd birthday party on Wednesday night and wore the most beautiful gown.

Adele arrived at the party in a strapless black, velvet dress that probably cost more than our car.

Fans couldn’t help but notice that the Someone Like You singer has lost quite a lot of weight in recent months and the singer even commented on her body transformation herself.

“My training has even more purpose now I have Mia. I’m her role model! My health and mentally feeling good was always my priority with exercise,” Gemma shared.

“It was never to compete on stage or to chase a certain physique. It was just to be the best version of ME! By making good nutritious choices with my meals without depriving myself (hello once a week cheesecake & pizza) I’m slowly getting back into it,” she continued.

Gemma had to have an emergency C section so the mum has to be cautious when it comes to pushing herself too much.

Gemma said her mental health is already benefiting from exercise, “Despite being physically weaker in the gym after time away, I feel mentally stronger than I ever have going through what I did to bring Mia into this world.

Being a twenty-something has changed a lot over the years.

For our parents, at 24,/25 they were engaged or married, with a house and a steady-ish job under their belts. Maybe they had even had us.

The 90s were a different era and some of our favourite childhood movies show that – take a beloved classic like The Parent Trap

Lindsay Lohan made her screen debut as twins who were separated as babies and each lived with one parent.

Cue 11 years later, they meet at camp and plan to get their folks back together.

But one thing stands in their way…their vineyard-owning dad has a gorgeous young fiancee.

When we were kids the villain of the movie was Meredith Blake, a perfectly coiffed and successful publicist who was set on marrying Nick Parker.

But now we're not ten anymore, things look…not as they seemed, let's just say.

Meredith is only TWENTY-SIX, has an unreal career, a killer wardrobe and is marrying a millionaire who is also a bit of a ride.

And we're sitting here with barely enough money to buy a coffee.

Meredith Blake had it all figured out and we are kinda in awe of her.

She knew what she wanted – a hot rich husband – and who are we to judge?

It seems we're not the only ones with delayed admiration for her.

When the flick hit its 20th anniversary in 2018, fans flocked to social media to sing Meredith's praises.

One said, ''The older I get, the more I relate to Meredith Blake. A child-free baddie with a career and a ring, what an icon.''

While another wrote, ''So, apparently Meredith Blake in Parent Trap is 26. I am currently 26. If any rich vineyard owners want to hit me up and get engaged, you have four months before my birthday.''

Lesson learned – Meredith is a queen and the older we get the more we want her to Nick and ship those brats off to Switzerland.

We were recently told by The Skin Nerd that wearing SPF every single day is vitally important, but we had huge misconceptions about light, the sun and skincare.

First of all, we assumed you had to be on a beach in a country over 30 degrees to even contemplate using SPF, but it turns out our own phones could be damaging our skin with blue light.

Sh*t craic, that is. Taking a selfie is damaging in even more ways now, even ones with our pets.

Avon released research indicating that the blue light emitted on our mobile phones can damage skin hugely for millennials, who check their phones constantly. (Statistics say it's 157 times a day…)

Pollution, smoking, insomnia, crowded urban places and alcohol can harm our skin, but SPF is the priority it seems.

According to Glamour UK, a quarter of 18 to 34 year olds spend seven hours or more per day on their phones, and sixteen percent of women spend almost one-third of their waking day on their phones.

Only one-in-ten people knew that the light from a mobile phone can actually age you. Our skin plays such a huge part in our lives, it's an organ for Gawd's Sake, and we need to value it.

23 percent of the same young age group refuse to post an image of themselves online with no filter, purely because of their skin.

All blue light screens apparently "reflect UB rays and may indirectly trigger damage" to our skin, with experiments performed by scientists on a mannequin wearing a UV sensor.

Co-author of the study, Mary Logue of the University of New Mexico, said:

"These devices are generally used for communication or entertainment, so it can be easy to overlook their reflective properties unless you happen to catch the glare off a screen."

The study suggests the light may significantly affect skin and stop it from healing – and the consequences on DNA have led experts to believe it could speed up the ageing process.

Researchers at the University of New Mexico warn that people may be putting themselves at risk of getting skin cancer by going outside to use their smartphones, tablets and laptops.

Broad spectrum is that which protects from both UVA and UVB rays, and we need to be wearing it on our face, neck and décollage every single damn day.

Invest in screen glasses to protect you against high-energy visible light (HEVL) at work.

For SPF skincare products, we highly recommend The Skin Nerd's brand new Skingredients treatment; 'Skin Shield'.

IMAGE Skincare Prevention+ Daily Hydrating Moisturiser is also a great product,

Enjoy the sun, gals, but don't forget about your skin. Make SPF part of your daily morning routine so you won't feel guilty every time you check your phone or laptop, you won't regret it.
