While Love Island's Amber Gill may not seem to have any luck on the reality show when it comes to finding a proper gentleman (bye, Greg), it seems as though she's already moving on.

The Geordie beautician may have been left shocked by Greg O'Shea's brutal text where he called time on their romance just five weeks after winning the ITV2 show, she seems to be getting back on the horse.

The stunning winner appeared at last night's TV Choice Awards and by the end of the night was spotted looking cosy with I'm A Celebrity star Malique Thompson-Dwyer at the after-party.

The beautician seemed to be getting along well with Malique, cuddling on the sofa while she sported a one-shouldered multi-coloured metallic dress with a thigh-high slash.

An eyewitness told Mirror Online: "Amber and Malique were clearly flirting with each other – there was loads of eye contact between them.

"They looked like a great match and even got out their phones as if they were swapping numbers. At one point they seemed to be close to kissing, before Jamie Lomas interrupted and started talking to his co-star. Amber looked annoyed when another girl came over and took Malique's attention off her."

The former beauty therapist had appeared on Loose Women to discuss the breakdown of her romance with Irish hunk Greg that same day, so it must have been a rough time for her.

"So from my point of view I still wanted to make it work. There was a call a few days prior just chatting, not specifically to do with that.

"I think there was a bit of miscommunication but I think if you don't want to be with someone, you don't want to be with someone," she added.

"Basically all I wanted was a bit of effort from him to come to London or Newcastle to see me. I said I'm going to have to give up if you don't put the effort in. He said 'okay bye'. I was expecting it to be a bit different."

Amber made sure to compliment Greg (he doesn't deserve it..): "He's a lovely guy but I'm not sure what’s going to happen in the future really. It's a bit of an odd situation," the 22-year-old said.

"The Islanders in from the beginning were naive to people going in later on and what people's perceptions were and what were being said. I didn't really think of that at the time."

Navigating the issue of climate breakdown can be a heavy topic for anyone to face. Sometimes we need a little bit of help from someone who really knows their stuff.

Luckily for you, we've found the perfect woman. We spoke to the wonderful CEO of Ocean Conservancy, Janis Searles Jones, about fighting to protect our oceans, learning good sustainability practices and harnessing our passion for a better planet.

Her areas of expertise include environmental law, arctic conservation and policy as well as marine conservation, and Janis credits her time working with Native American tribes for her current understanding of legal issues spanning the management of public lands, waters, and natural resources.

The CEO began her career as a young environmental lawyer over 20 years ago in Alaska, "arriving with my dog and all of my belongings in the back of a pickup truck, ready to protect and defend public resources.

"As a young environmental lawyer, it was a profound experience working on natural resource issues in Alaska and alongside its citizens, and experiencing the state’s vastness and incredible beauty. The experience has shaped the rest of my career by helping me understand what it takes to make long-lasting, meaningful change, from fighting like hell to defend some of our nation’s core conservation provisions, to finding common ground, forging alliances and working with partners.

"Today, I’m proud to be leading an organisation that is working to create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it every single day."

How did Janis discover her love for the ocean? We envisioned an epiphany moment reminscent of Ariel in The Little Mermaid when she spots Prince Eric, but it was Janis' upbringing that paved the way;

"The ocean has played a major role in my life ever since I was a kid. I was really lucky to grow up in a family that valued the outdoors and in a place close to the coast. I lived in the same neighborhood as a renowned environmental educator, Mrs. Terwilliger. She taught us about the impacts of plastic on wildlife, and how each of us, even as kids, could make a meaningful difference. Her favourite message for children was, “This is my country. Wherever I go, I will leave it more beautiful than I found it.”'

When it comes to Ireland's ecological landscape, we're surrounded by ocean. Yet the conversation surrounding climate breakdown in this country hasn't brought the sea into mainstream dialogue.

The result of this is that we can feel overwhelmingly helpless when we discover our huge overfishing problem, the dangers of our agriculture industry and our lack of turbines. What can we do?

A post shared by  (@cherry_kbphoto) on

"I would say one of the biggest things you can do is to help convey to your readers that what we do on land matters to the ocean. Choosing sustainable seafood when you eat, reducing the amount of single-use plastic that you use, and supporting Ireland’s goal of protecting 30 percent of its ocean waters by 2030 are good places to start.

"And renewable energy, like offshore wind power, is an important part of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which is a critical priority for our ocean," Janis explains.

One great way to help is join Ocean Conservancy for this year’s International Coastal Cleanup on September 21, 2019. The ICC is the world’s largest single-day volunteer effort to fight ocean plastics.

Volunteers have the opportunity to keep more than 20 million pounds of plastic and rubbish out of the ocean, and the fruit of your efforts can be immediately felt within your community.

When it comes to saying no to unnecessary single-use plastics, there are plenty of things each person can easily manage;

"Reducing your single-use plastic consumption is imperative in the fight against plastic pollution. Carry a reusable bottle for drinks, make sure to bring reusable bags to the shop, switch out your paper towels and napkins for cloth and if you are able to, skip the straw and quit the cutlery. You’ve just got to commit and develop a routine," Janis says.

"When making purchasing decisions, many of us are faced with a great number of choices. For the most part, there is a growing desire among some consumers to be more sustainable and reduce their environmental impacts. We all know about Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—while these are evergreen habits that we should all practice regularly, we must be more proactive and have bigger aspirations," she adds.

A post shared by Ocean Conservancy (@oceanconservancy) on

"Take a second to think about or develop your personal priorities and make sure your purchases align with those values. "

Community action can go a long way, as can starting the conversation with those around you;

"Volunteer, sign petitions and educate others. You don’t have to be near a beach to pick up rubbish, start your own cleanup or even organise a group to pick up rubbish around your neighborhood. And we have a handy app, called CleanSwell that you can track your daily pick up. When you submit the items you’ve collected, it goes into our global database and helps inform policy solutions around the world."

What are the goals of Ocean Conservancy, and how do they stay motivated? Climate breakdown can keep us all up at night, but Janis Searles Jones doesn't come across as a woman who gives up easily;

"Ocean plastic is a complex issue because it’s about a whole global system of consumption – products, business models, infrastructure, policies, and consumer preferences and behaviours. The two ideas at the core of Ocean Conservancy’s strategy are to recognise the urgency of the problem and to stop plastic from getting into the ocean in the first place," she begins.

"We’re calling for an end to the flow of plastic waste into the ocean by 2030. And we need all of our ocean allies to come together to achieve that goal. While ambitious, it’s what the ocean needs. Otherwise, if plastic use continues to rise, there could be almost 100 million more tonnes of plastic in the ocean by 2030. That is simply unacceptable."

A post shared by Ocean Conservancy (@oceanconservancy) on

Educating ourselves is imperative, but we can't ignore the fact that greenhouse gas emissions changing the ocean-scape as we know it. Janis stresses that this will affect each and every one of us as a result, whether we live on the island of Ireland or in a land-locked nation;

"Climate change is profoundly an ocean issue. Ocean Conservancy is working hard to make the ocean-climate connections, and make sure that countries who have committed to the Paris Agreement take the ocean into account and develop ocean-smart policies to protect our ocean and our future."

Imagining what our oceans will resemble in 50 years' time can be an anxiety-inducing thought, but it forces us to be realistic about our hope for the future;

"The ocean will be different. No question. We have already drastically altered the ocean as a result of climate change and human activities, and we will need to learn to adapt to those changes."

A post shared by Solutions 4 Plastic (@solutions4plastic) on

"But we do have a choice about how much more change is going to happen," the CEO adds. "And we are at a tipping point both in terms of the importance of action now, and in terms of broad and worldwide commitments to that action.

"I truly believe that in 50 years, many fish populations will have stabilised, thanks to improved management. I believe we will collectively agree that geo-engineering and deep-sea mining is not worth the risk and those activities will be unacceptable from a profit and public standpoint," Janis continues.

"We will have fewer coral reefs, but they will continue to exist."

A post shared by  (@oceanconservancy) on

"Most importantly, I believe we will have a collective understanding – from people, governments, companies – that the ocean is critical to life on this planet and we need throw everything we have at protecting it."

Huda Kattan is rarely seen without her iconic, black-winged eyeliner.

The makeup artist pulled off the winged look to perfection, so it was only a matter of time before her followers requested that she developed her own product for her fans, and she delivered.

Waterproof, smudge-proof and long-lasting, Huda Beauty’s first eyeliner 'Life Liner' is launching this Thursday, September 12. You can bet it'll be the blackest and mattest on the market.

Huda and her team have created numerous videos to celebrate the launch of Life Liner, transforming into the most iconic eyeliner wearers of all time; Audrey Hepburn, Cleopatra and Brigitte Bardot.

Eyeliner has been a part of Huda’s signature everyday look for years, so we trust her to come up with the best product on the market for her social followers. In Huda We Trust;

Life Liner took the beauty guru and her team roughly three years to perfect, which means that both time and love have gone into the creation.

Combining high molecular weight silicones and silicone resins, Huda Beauty's team were able to create an elastic-like texture that prevents cracking, smudging or fading during wear.

The formula’s unique ingredients work together to create a lightweight film that protects the formula once it’s applied giving it the power to last for 48 hours.

Huda was adamant about the cut of the brush, so her customers could create their perfect winged look without the line becoming too thick or clumpy. We love a gal who knows what she wants.

Huda Beauty's Pencil Liner in Very Vanta is also set to launch, with a staying power of up to eight hours.

The unique pencil tip contains a blend of silicon resins and other unique ingredients that delivers extensive wear and smudge-proof colour.

With liquid at the forefront of every bold look, the pencil liner was created to be used on the water and lash line to further intensify and dramatise.

Considering all of the gorgeous eyeliner you'll no doubt be wearing, Huda Beauty also created the ideal remover to ensure a smooth removal process.

The Huda Beauty team discovered a gentle but powerful formula that quickly became the perfect partner for our long-lasting Life Liner.

The new Makeup Remover Balm has a transformational formula that takes it from a balm to an oil and finally to a milky texture upon melting with the skin to dissolve dirt, grime and makeup.

Containing Cherry Blossom extract, the gentle makeup remover leaves the skin feeling soft and conditioned. Three new products, three new soon-to-be cult beauty goodies. Thank Goddess for Huda.

The Huda Beauty Life Liner is launching on Thursday, September 12, and will be available online and in retailers from €24.60 (£22).

Anyone who watched (binged) Dirty John on Netflix will understand why we're fascinated by season two. The show gripped millions of viewers with twists and turns, but HOW can they continue it?

The first season was based on the Wondery Los Angeles Times true crime podcast and series of articles of the same name, featuring the intense love affair between Debra Newell and John Meehan which turns insanely dark faster than you can handle.

A press release from USA Network has divulged that the second season of the hit show will focus on one of the messiest divorces in American history, culminating in a double homicide.

Connie Britton and Eric Bana starred as the interior designer who falls for a con artist who is determined to ruin her life and steal her fortune. Newell quickly discovers that John isn't who he says he is.

Dirty John only has one season on the podcast, so initially it was unknown whether the TV series would even get a second season commissioned.

We now know that season two will focus on a marriage gone horrifically awry, in the tale of convicted murderer Betty Broderick. The show will move from Bravo to USA Network this time around.

Amanda Peet will play Betty, while Christian Slater will play her ill-fated husband, Daniel Broderick.

"The first season of Dirty John was a story of twisted love and coercive control — and both these insidious elements are also present in and integral to the story of Betty Broderick, whom I have wanted to write about since I became a writer," series creator Alexandra Cunningham said in the press release.

"I can’t wait to see Amanda and Christian bring it to life." Betty Broderick was the wife of Daniel, and she cared for their San Diego-based family while Daniel attends medical school and then law school

Daniel hires then 21-year-old Linda Kolkena as his legal assistant, and Betty becomes totally convinced that Daniel is having an illicit affair. Daniel denied Betty’s allegations, which later proved to be true.

Daniel and Betty's marriage ended soon after, and Daniel and Kolkena married. Betty began acting erratically while the pair underwent divorce proceedings,

According to a 2017 Los Angeles Times article on the Broderick case, Betty spray painted Daniel’s house, drove her car into Daniel’s front door, and left “obscene” messages on his answering machine.

Betty believed that she was Daniel's victim, seeing as Daniel had considerable influence in the law community. Betty was briefly admitted to a mental hospital, neglected to pay support payments and filed a restraining order.

Betty truly felt that Daniel intended to drive her insane in order to easily divorce her. The ex-wife later shot Daniel and Linda in their home on November 5, 1989,

“I bought into a 1950s Leave It to Beaver marriage…and Daniel stole my whole life,” Betty told The Los Angeles Times. “This was a desperate act of self-defense.”

Most of the public saw her as a cold-blooded killer, but others sympathised with the woman whose husband left her for a younger woman after she supported his career for years.

Betty is currently serving her prison sentence for the crimes at the California Institution for Women in Corona, but was denied parole in 2017.

Season 2 of Dirty John is currently filming, with no release date currently known.

Former JLS star Oritsé Williams has spoken out for the first time about being "tormented" by a rape accusation for the past three years.

But I had two choices, let it drag me under and destroy me or stay strong and hope the truth would come out, which it eventually did," he continued.

Burrito babes Boojum are putting the spotlight on skyrocketing student rent prices with their new campaign, which lets one lucky student win a life-changing college prize.

The franchise is going above and beyond for its student customers. The food brand is highlighting the serious issue of student rent, with the food company offering the chance to win free rent for one year.

With students heading back to college over the last few weeks, they're facing another year of trying to balance study, examinations and social lives. Many take up part-time work to help their living costs.

The rents in Dublin are ever-increasing and add to the worsening homelessness crisis in the city daily.

David Maxwell, Boojum’s Managing Director commented on the campaign:

“We’re on the side of students, always aiming to deliver real value every day for them, but we knew we could take it beyond burritos. Almost fifty percent of our workforce is made up of third-level students so we’re really conscious of the pressures that they’re under.

“From speaking with our students, increasing rent really is one of the biggest issues for them and is a distraction that they don’t need."

"That’s the thinking behind this promotion; if we can help one student this year by taking the pressure of rent off their mind, then we’ve done something positive,” he added.

Boojum has become known for its ties with students, whether it's the exam season burrito boosts or part-time jobs. The new campaign looks at the struggles students face financially nationwide as tuition fees rise.

Boojum is duplicating typical ‘To Let’ signs that line the streets in popular student areas in all university cities, announcing the chance to win free rent.

The food company has also turned two restaurant windows into Estate Agent windows, with listings available from €0.

According to the National Union of Students in Ireland (USI), colleges are increasing campus accommodation costs by as much as 11.5 percent.

Boojum aims to solve this problem for one lucky student, freeing up much-needed cash to help pay tuition fees and household bills.
