Kim Kardashian has opened up about her previous 'obsession' with fame in the September issue of Vogue Australia, interviewed by none other than her husband; Kanye West.

Dressed by Thierry Mugler, Kim looks beyond breathtaking in the latest Vogue cover, but fans were surprised at her honesty in conversation with Kanye;

"I do agree that fame can be addictive and it took me a long time to recognise how lost you can become when you put too much focus on it. Before, I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed, but my focus has shifted."

Vogue Arabia Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut says that the shoot and interview both "reveal a side to Kim Kardashian that many have never seen before":

“Her interview with Kanye West is both real and raw, as she talks personally about her career and family life. It was inspiring to assemble this unique level of talent," he adds.

Her cover was shot in the Los Angeles desert by photographer Txema Yeste, and her one-on-one interview with her Grammy award-winning husband dispels many of the misconceptions she has faced.

The reality star was previously underestimated, but is currently studying law and successfully working US government on criminal justice issues;

“There is a misconception that I don’t actually have to study and that I’ve bought my way into getting a law degree – that’s absolutely not true… Being underestimated and over-delivering is my vibe.”

On lessons she wishes to share with her fans; “I try to be a good person and to take my mistakes and make them into a better experience — to learn and grow from them and move on.”

When speaking about her first real date with Kanye, she says; “I was like, ‘Damn, why did I waste so much time and energy? Why didn’t I do this sooner?"

She also gets candid about the idea of herself as an inspiration, and the pressure she's under to be a decent role model to young people as one of the most followed people on social media;

“I never felt the responsibility of being a role model until I had kids,” she said. "Even in my darkest of times I don’t regret putting myself out there for the world to see.

"People have shared with me over the years how much it has helped them to feel less alone when dealing with their own adversity. I love having a voice and I appreciate the platform that I have been given, even though I do wish I could have more privacy at times.”

West later asks Kim to choose her favourite sister, controversially: “It changes, just like friends or relationships go in and out. I think this year has been a really strong Kim and Khloé year,” she reveals.

“I’m obviously so close with Kendall and Kylie too but I’ve spent so much more time on this earth with Kourtney and Khloé – 16 and 17 years longer with them. We have more history, have been through so much together, and we have more friends in common. Kourtney and I will always be really close, but this year, Khloé and I really bonded.”

This might have been as a result of Khloé's drama with baby daddy and cheating ex Tristan Thompson, who kissed Kylie Jenner's long-time 21-year-old best friend Jordyn Woods.

Peaky Blinders has become a worldwide phenomenon, partially due to Cillian Murphy's incredible performance as the iconic Tommy Shelby in 1920s post WWI-Birmingham.

We don't doubt that you've spotted some lads sporting the exact same haircut as the Shelby boys, as well as wearing the flat cap and three-piece suits.

The period cut has led to a style revolution among fans of the show, with barbers constantly being asked for the 'Peaky cut' from men (and some women) of all ages.

But despite the style’s popularity, Cillian Murphy has zero time for it;

"People ask for a Peaky cut. It’s crazy that people like it – it hasn’t grown on me," he told Woman and Home. The 43-year-old pointed out how easily spotted he is with the shaved sides and long top.

"It’s when you get the haircut that people start shouting at you," he said. "When I don’t have the haircut I can get the bus quite unmolested." He normally wears a far longer haircut, and is left alone.

The Dunkirk actor recently admitted that his wife gets annoyed by his dedication to the BBC One show, which has just returned for its fifth series.

Cillian has to "cancel reality for a little while" while he's on set and candidly admitted that he can find the role "exhausting";

"Part of acting in film and television is that you have to go from sitting around in a trailer twiddling your thumbs, doing the crossword or whatever, to bang! Being in it. So if you're coming from a standstill, it doesn't work."

He also divulged that his spouse Yvonne McGuinness and sons, 13-year-old Malachy and 12-year-old Aran, feel that he's in another world when the series is filming.

"I'm not walking around talking like Tommy all the time, but you have to be there or thereabouts.

"So she's right, I'm not all there when I'm filming. And in terms of life when we're filming: I don't socialise, I just go home, learn the lines, go to bed."

The hugely anticipated fifth season of Peaky Blinders kicked off on BBC One on Sunday night, stay tuned for the next five episodes.

Nearly two-in-five third-level students are experiencing serious levels of anxiety and depression as a result of stress, a new survey has revealed.

The newly published 'Report on Student Mental Health in Third-Level Education' was compiled by the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), with the support of the HSE Mental Health and the National Office for Suicide Prevention.

Almost one-third of students have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, with the results painting a worrying picture of the extent of pressures and struggles on the shoulders of Irish students.

The statistics examined the occurrence of mental health distress and ill health among third-level students and the availability and use of mental health support service for young people.

Multiple factors influence depression and anxiety, and women were found to be more likely to suffer anxiety than men. Non-binary students had the highest levels of severe anxiety.

The survey, which was conducted in 2018, was open to students in every college, North and in the Republic, and most of the respondents were undergraduates aged between 18 and 24-years-old.

74 percent of participants were female, and experiences varied largely depending on the type of college attended, the area of study and whether it was inside or outside of Dublin.

One in five of those surveyed identified as LGBTQ+ and just over 1 percent identified as transgender. 38 percent are experiencing extremely severe levels of anxiety, alarmingly.

30 percent of people are reporting suffering from depression and 17 percent are experiencing stress. Almost one-third reported that they had a formal mental health difficulty which was diagnosed.

One of the most distressing points is that 21 percent of participants did not have someone to talk to about personal and emotional difficulties. Free on-campus counselling is imperative for students.

Students were found to use on and off-campus services to aid their mental health, and the student union made 35 percent of students aware of support services.

The study had a large response of 3,340 students, but the findings may not be a full picture of the student population.

Employment during college was also found to affect students' ability to socialise with their classmates, and those involved in activities outside of coursework had improved mental health.

USI president Lorna Fitzpatrick in Trinity College Dublin said students had provided a vast amount of vital data which would be used to improve mental health services at third level for everyone.

Numerous institutions were found to be problematic in terms of the quality of care offered to students, and a quality assurance tool must be made to ensure consistency between institutions.

Transitioning from secondary school to college is a huge step for all students, and comes at a time when they are most at risk of developing mental health difficulties.

Christmas FM will be celebrating its 12th year on air this year and, since it began broadcasting, has raised almost €2 million for a range of charities. The costs of running Christmas FM are covered by various sponsors, ensuring that all on-air fundraising and donations will go directly to Barretstown.

Seen by many as the official soundtrack to the festive season, Christmas FM plays round-the-clock Christmas tunes, spreading an abundance of festive cheer and seasonal goodwill every single day in the run up to Christmas.

Broadcasting almost nationwide, Christmas FM is listened to by almost one in three adults. It is entirely funded through sponsorship and run each year by more than 100 volunteers on-air, devoting hundreds of hours of their time. The station is also available online.

Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM, says: “Barretstown is a very special organisation and we are delighted to be partnering with them for Christmas FM this year. The radio station creates a feel-good festive factor that is unrivalled anywhere else, and we look forward to sharing that with everyone at Barretstown – campers, parents, staff and volunteers – as well as our listeners. As sponsorship pays the running costs of the radio station, this means that all monies raised on air through donations can go directly to Barretstown and we look forward to raising as much as possible this year for such a worthy cause”

Barretstown was founded by Hollywood actor and philanthropist Paul Newman in 1994 and is modelled on his renowned Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut, USA. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Barretstown has served over 50,000 campers since it opened its doors to the Irish public.

Through its free, specially-designed camps and programmes, Barretstown brings back the fun of childhood – its services help children affected by serious illness to ‘press play’ on childhood again. To mark its 25th anniversary, the organisation unveiled a nationwide Press Play campaign, with the aim of achieving its vision that by 2024, every child with a serious illness in Ireland will have the opportunity to avail of one of Barretstown’s therapeutic programmes.

Commenting on the charity partnership with Christmas FM, Dee Ahearn, CEO of Barretstown, said: “We are so thrilled to be chosen as Christmas FM’s charity partner for 2019 and it really will be the perfect end to what has been a hugely exciting year for us as we celebrate our 25th anniversary. Every year we need to raise €5.8 million to run our therapeutic programmes to serve children who suffer from serious illness, and their families.

"The services provided to all of the children and families who come to Barretstown are entirely free of charge, so fundraising efforts are vital for us to help more seriously ill children to experience the magic of Barretstown each year. It’s initiatives like Christmas FM that help us to do that and I would like thank the Christmas FM team on behalf of the Barretstown campers, volunteers and wider Barretstown community for their support and generosity.”

Miley Cyrus debuted her new tattoo at the VMA’s last night and it is stunning. This was Miley’s first public appearance since news of her separation broke earlier in August. The singer and her Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth decided to end their relationship after marrying last Christmas.

Fans believe Miley’s new tattoo is a tribute to this new chapter of her life.

The new tattoo on the singer’s left bicep is a lyric from The Thing by Pixes.

It reads, ‘My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free.’

Viewers were taken aback by the singer’s emotional performance of her breakup song Slide Away. The moving track is about the breakdown of her and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship. The singer was undoubtedly emotional as she sang about how it is time to let go of one another.

Twitter was full of praise for Miley’s raw performance of the heartbreaking song.

Alex Goldschmidt wrote, ‘Nothing rips my heart apart quite like @MileyCyrus live vocals. ‘Slide Away’ will never not wreck me.’

‘Miley Cyrus is stealing the show. Best performance of the night,’ one wrote.

Ariana Grande praised the singer for such a touching performance, ‘I love you. I love this beautiful song and your heart and this performance.’

Last night's MTV VMA Awards ceremony was the 10th anniversary of the Kanye West versus Taylor Swift (and the world) drama which is engrained in pop culture history nowadays.

Most of us can remember the moment perfectly, when Kanye West stormed the stage after Taylor Swift won Video of the Year and proclaimed that Beyonce deserved to win.

Taylor hinted about that fateful day on the red carpet, saying; “You never know what can happen on this show, as I’ve learned.”

Beyonce allegedly cried backstage, Pink got in Kanye's face and absolutely ROASTED him (deserved) and the make-up between Beyonce and Taylor onstage after Beyonce wins the overall award was all created by the producers.

But where was Kanye West last night? According to reports, Kanye was at a Cheesecake Factory in Ohio this weekend instead of celebrating the monumental anniversary.

Page Six is claiming that he was there Friday and Saturday night, and then stayed in Ohio for a unique Sunday Session to honour the victims of the recent mass shooting.

Image: Instagram/@kimkardashian

His wife Kim Kardashian shared an Instagram Story of Kanye “feeling the vibe” during the service, and also shared a snap of the choir singing to Dave Chapelle for his birthday;

Image: Instagram/@kimkardashian

Taylor shared her diary entry from the aftermath of the MTV VMAs back in 2009 with her fans, writing;

“Ahh… the things that can change in a week… Let's just say, if you had told me Kanye West would have been the number one focus of my week, the media, and my part in the VMAs I would've looked at you cross-eyed.

And if you had told me that one of the biggest stars in music was going to jump up onstage and announce that he thought I shouldn’t have won on live television, I would’ve said; 'That stuff doesn’t really happen in real life.’ Well… apparently… It does.”

Taylor picked up the Video of the Year award last night for You Need To Calm Down, bringing up all of the LGBTQ stars from the video and giving them their own Moonmen statuettes with their names on them.

The emotions were running high, with Taylor also opening the show with a mash-up of You Need To Calm Down and Lover after her album has sold over two million copies within 24 hours of its release. Seems like she's doing pretty well?

Gabby Allen hasn't had it easy over the last month, confirming that she has broken up with her boyfriend Myles Stephenson after she caught him sending flirty DMs to other women.

The 26-year-old was spotted crying while walking down the street yesterday afternoon after receiving a huge bunch of apology red roses from the 27-year-old Rak-Su singer.

The former Love Island star gave the flowers to a shopkeeper rather than keep them, determined not to take Myles back after his treatment of her.

Dressed casually in a khaki crop top and denim shorts that she'd left unbuttoned, the blonde beauty looked downcast as she walked down the street with her friend in North London.

Photos have appeared in The Sun and The Mirror of her tears, but it's an invasion of privacy to show them. Would paparazzi maybe leave a crying woman alone?!

A source told The Sun : "Myles sent Gabby a big bunch of roses but she wasn't impressed. It was too little too late so she decided to get rid of them.

"She left them outside a corner shop for someone else to take – she doesn't want any reminder of him around."

Gabby confirmed the break-up over the weekend, saying that the rumours that she'd caught him sexting other women were true.

She said in a statement on Instagram : "The news paper articles are true. I am no longer in a relationship. I hope you have all had a better week than me.

"If anyone else has anything they need to tell me, please do x."  Gabby and Myles started dating last September and were inseparable at first, moving in together within months.

Friends say that Gabby had begun to grow suspicious of Myles' behaviour in recent months after he'd moved into her North London flat.

The singer, who won X Factor in 2016, is reported to have moved back in with his mum to give Gabby space. What a gent.

Gabby's Love Island ex-flame Marcel Somerville also cheated on her after they came out of the villa, so her luck with men is pretty woeful. These f*ckboys, we need a purge to get rid of them.

With the MTV VMAs come a variety of awkward and memorable moments, some questionable fashion choices and malfunctions, not to mention performances from big names.

First thing's first, Mrs Missy Elliott had the best performance of the night with a medley of her hits, including a rake of incredible dancers and costume changes. We were absolutely FLOORED;

The legend of hip-hop picked up her Michael Jackson Vanguard Award in style, belting out her latest banger Throw It Back, before adding in Pass That Dutch, Lose Control and Get Ur Freak On.

Oh and did we mention that she brought back Alyston Stoner to perform with her, 16 years after the original child star appeared in her music video;

 Her 2001 album Miss E was ground-breaking, and she was truly deserving of the gong which was handed to her by Cardi B; "I promised I wouldn't cry this time because I cry every awards!" she said."

Alyson has still got some serious moves, ain't nobody arguing about that.

Another star of the show was Lizzo, brandishing her bejewelled tequila bottle because she's 100 percent THAT b*tch;

Her performance of Good As Hell and Truth Hurts brought the house down, with a giant inflatable ass in the background and a self-love pep talk;

Joe Jonas' arm got some deserved attention;

Normani (of Fifth Harmony fame) slayed her set, performing Motivation and showing everyone that the moves from the incredible music video were REAL and her gymnastic abilities aren't to be doubted;

Miley Cyrus gave a hugely emotional black-and-white performance of Slide Away, changing the lyrics from "We've grown now" to "I've grown now"…shade at Liam Hemsworth?

She also debuted a brand new tattoo to mark their split;

Tana Mongeau tried to copy our homegirl Britney Spears by bringing a snake to the ceremony, and people…forgot…who the OG was?!?

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes caused our heart rates to skyrocket with their sensuous performance of Seniorita, but Sophie Turner's reaction to their almost-kiss is all of us;

This powerful metaphor by Taylor Swift about the faux pas of rewearing outfits, or even wearing similar ones;

Taylor opened the show with a beautiful performance of You Need To Calm Down and Lover, later partying with Gigi and Bella Hadid and picking up the Best Video award for her LGBTQ+ colour palette video for You Need To Calm Down.

Ariana Grande….well, she WON;

Grande wasn't present at the awards ceremony, but picked up the most gongs on the night regardless. Deservedly so, 2019 has been Ari's year.

Okay this tweet made us emotional. All of the participants from Taylor's iconic LGBTQ music video received two Moonmen with their names on it, and she refused to perform without this request being granted. Hero.

Cardi B picked up the award for Best Hip-Hop, and her impassioned speech had us all laughing;

Queen Latifah randomly riding up to the ceremony on a motorcycle, wearing a bandana, was quite the moment;

Last but not least, here is the wholesome reaction of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas when Taylor Swift won Best Video…They are just TOO PURE;

We're exhausted from the drama, the fashion, the dance moves, the POWER moments from the show. There didn't seem to be any celebrity beef for once, maybe it's the vegan lifestyle getting to everyone?

The only sad point was that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, after all of the build-up, actually didn't kiss. Throughout the whole ceremony, they didn't.

Outside of the ceremony, all we do is see them kiss but they can't give us PDA when we actually ask for it? Cruel.

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have finally revealed the name of their third child. The parents welcomed a baby boy on July 26 and have been quiet about his name, until now.

The Emmerdale stars welcomed another son and picked quite the sweet name for their darling boy. In an exclusive interview with OK!Magazine, the actors revealed his name is Ace Gene.

The soapstar announced the birth of her son by sharing a black and white snap of his onesie, but didn't disclose any information at the time. She captioned the snap, "BaByWoLf #3 has joined the crazy gang. We’re in a bubble of newborn’ness heaven."

Charley explained that she had quite the traumatic labour so there's no wonder the mum wanted to enjoy some time alone with her baby boy and family after what she went through.

She told OK!, "The umbilical cord was wrapped around Ace’s neck when he was born. It came off and he was passed to me but I could tell something was wrong. Ace wasn’t breathing at first – so the midwife had to press the panic button."

The Health Store, €5.35

With festivals come germs, and lots ot them. We all need some hand sanitiser for those traumatising trips to the portaloos, but investing in an organic one can be great for your skin.

It also almost ensures that none of the irritants and harmful chemicals are present, which is a bonus. Dr Bronner's organic hand sanitiser kills germs using only organic ethyl alcohol, water, organic lavender oil, and organic glycerin.

It's just as effective as conventional hand sanitisers, but uses none of the same chemicals. It's perfect for using on the go at a festival, keep it in your bum bag at all times. Why not sanitise with a healthy conscience.

Glossier are a cult beauty brand and once we tried one of their products, we just lost control of ourselves and became overwhelmingly addicted. Just one product can be the gateway into one of the greatest skincare brands in town, and their balm dot com skin salve is a fan favourite.

The hydrating, multipurpose lip balms and skin salves are packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish dry, chafed skin. The dense, waxy texture stays in place to seal in moisture. You can choose the Original, or pick from seven mood-enhancing flavors:

Birthday (a subtle shimmer), Rose (a barely-there pink tint), Cherry (a sheer red tint), Mint, Coconut, Mango (a translucent coral tint), and Berry (a sheer berry tint) are all available for €12 each or €75 for the full set. None other than the Queen of Longford, Maura Higgins, will join Ryan Tubridy on the new season of The Late Late Show this week.

The Love Island star is set to join iconic singer Sinead O'Connor and hilarious comedian and actress Aisling Bea on the couch.

Ryan Tubridy revealed the opening episode features “a selection of people representing Ireland", telling RTE Guide;

“Sinead O’Connor, an icon; Aisling Bea, a new superstar knocking them out in the UK; and Maura Higgins from Love Island, a pop-culture phenomenon. It’s running the gamut, and that’s where The Late Late excels.”

"We’re also hoping to make a nod towards all the people who’ve served this country in uniform, which needs to be done. Just to say thanks. And where else can you do that, but on the Late Late."

Tubs has previously hinted that the Longford lass will join him on the sofa, saying to the Irish Mirror last week;

“I was watching it (Love Island) over the shoulders of youngsters no but like my feeling about that is even if you didn’t watch it, you know that even when it was going down the toilet and people were saying it was boring and it was the worst series of it, what did it take?"

“It took an Irish woman from Longford to change it all. She goes on and suddenly the show comes alive. And not even just that it was also won by an Irish man.”

This year will mark Tubridy's 11th year as host of the show;

“As of midnight when we get to the end of the show on September 6, I’ll be the second longest-serving host of the Late Late Show which is a strange mantel but a very big honour in my life.”

 Maura is currently taking a break from her appearances at events after admitting via her Instagram stories that she's completely "shattered" and "burnt out".
