Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague were the runners up of this years' Love Island series, but ex Islander Elma Pazar has given her opinion on why they didn't take the crown.

20-year-old boxer Tommy and 19-year-old influencer Molly were beaten to the £50,000 prize by Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, and Elma explained that the runners up were dull to watch.

The 26-year-old eyelash technician said; "For me personally, Amber and Greg deserved to win. I'm really happy for Tommy and Molly that they came second, they were a solid couple all the way through."

Amber and Greg found each other after Michael Griffiths broke the 21-year-old Geordie girl's heart in shockingly douchebag fashion.

Essex gal Elma added; "But in a sense, I think because they were just a guaranteed couple, they didn’t bring much drama after a while.

"It’s nice for them, obviously you don’t want to have drama when you’re in a relationship."

Elma left the villa single, but dispelled claims that viewers assumed that Molly-Mae was faking her love for Tommy through non-existent tears.

Speaking to Daily Star Online, she said: "I know Molly got a lot of stick about not being genuine and stuff but I do honestly think that Amber and Greg were the rightful winners, especially Amber."

Molly recently hit out at co-star Belle Hassan after she accused Molly of being 'two faced' in the final week.

She said her comments were a "shame" insisting: "There were no tactics used at all. Absolutely none. People can say what they want."

Herself and boyfriend Tommy Fury voted to send Belle and Anton Danyluk home, leading to them being dumped from the show by the public before the final.

21-year-old Belle said: "I think Molly has too many opinions sometimes. I really get on with Molly, but she can be a little bit two faced."

Tommy defended their join decision, and said: "We put Anton and Belle in the bottom three, but it was the public who voted Anton and Belle out. It wasn't us. It was the voters who did that."

Fair point. Belle saying the move was 'tactical' doesn't mean much, considering the entire show is a competition for a huge cash prize…

We are all aware of the negative impact social media can have on our mood. Scrolling through Instagram for a mere ten minutes can knock our confidence and leave us feeling like our social lives are not up to scratch. We instantly compare ourselves to the people we follow, despite the fact that people only share their best moments on social media.

A new study has discovered the lasting impact social media can have on young people in Ireland and the findings are a cause for concern.

One in three young people revealed the pressure of social media makes life harder for them.

The study, which was conducted by Young Social Innovators and Amarach Research Index, found that despite its perks, social media is putting far too much pressure on young people.

Rachel Collier, Young Social Innovators chief executive said: “There has been a lot of discussion in the media in recent weeks about keeping young people occupied during the summer months and, in particular, how to get them away from screens.

“From this research, we can see how strongly embedded smartphones are in the day-to-day lives of Generation Z. For all of us involved in guiding young people from teens to adulthood, the issue of smartphone usage is something that we need to be aware of,” she added.

Social media does have many positives. It helps friends stay in contact even if they’re on opposite sides of the planet, it helps people share their content and gives people a place to express their views, but we need to remember that balance is key.

“We need to focus on getting the balance right between smartphone usage and real-life experiences, without trying to roll-back on something that is firmly part of contemporary youth culture,” said Rachel Collier.

93 percent of people involved in the study said life is harder for them than it was for their parents, mainly because of social media.

Social media makes young people compare every aspect of their lives to their peers’. They scrutinise everything from their appearance to their grades, and that pressure can be extremely damaging.

There are many wonderful things about social media. We certainly couldn’t go without it, but Rachel Collier is right, we need to find the right balance between life on Instagram and life in the real world.

The 15 Days star added, “I’m nervous as hell but super excited to work with such talented professionals. Hold onto your jazz shoes… mine is sure to be a bumpy/clumsy/fun ride!”

Lady Gaga has caused a storm after photos emerged of the star kissing her audio engineer Dan Horton during a brunch date in California last weekend.

The 33-year-old Oscar winner only recently called off her engagement to Christian Carino in February, and hasn't been seen on a date since.

A source told Entertainment Tonight; "Gaga has real chemistry with Dan. They have been seeing each other for weeks and have been working with each other for a while."

"They have been working on new music, have spent hours of work time together and became really close. They're working very closely together at a home studio in Hollywood, and sparks just started flying," the insider continued.

"People noticed the chemistry early on, and now that she has taken some time to herself, she finally feels free to date. They seem like a pretty good match."

The Shallow singer was packing on the PDA in the photos, but Gaga is apparently planning on taking things "slowly" with Dan, who has worked with Bruno Mars, Camila Cabello, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake.

"Dan's adorable, southern, artsy and very different from the typical Hollywood guy. Right now they are having fun and it's convenient," the source added.

"She can talk music with him and knows all the big-name artists he's worked with. She respects his work and sees him as a breath of fresh air."

As well as Christian Carino, Gaga was previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney before calling it quits in 2016.

She gushed about her relationship with Carino last year, despite usually remaining private on her love life:

"When I went backstage, Christian was by the stairs making sure I was OK. The best part about being in love with someone is having them there to catch you if you fall."

She singer appears to have moved on, time will tell whether they're seriously dating or just having fun.

Author of Sex and the City, Candace Bushnell, as observed that modern dating has apparently led women to be "angrier". Has she heard of the #MeToo movement?

"Women have the same complaints about men as they did before, except their complaints are much harsher now," the bestselling writer told The Sunday Times regarding dating apps.

"They seem angrier. The rejection and the uncertainty of online communication, it hurts people's souls. It seems to be emotionally destabilising."

Image: Instagram/@sex_and_the_city_official

Bushnell was famous for her column for The New York Observer back in the 1990s, which was adapted into the Sex and the City novels.

The books led to a hit HBO series starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon as four women in New York City, navigating romances, friendships, and womanhood.

The series ran from 1998 to 2004, and the success led to two films in 2008 and 2010 being released. The Carrie Diaries and Lipstick Jungle, also penned by the 60-year-old, were also adapted into TV shows.

Bushnell has been dating Jim Coleman for two years, and has commented on the two key things she's learned about finding a partner;

"At this age you want someone to be nice, you don't want someone who's critical or demeaning," she told The Sunday Times.

"It feels like when one is younger there can be this competition between partners. Maybe that's part of the sexual attraction, but that kind of stuff just doesn't work when you get older."

She added: "I think romance is something where you're not in a rush to get to the end. It's just about enjoying each other's company. It's doing things together."

She's got some pearls of wisdom, we must say. Some of the most iconic quotes from the hit show from Carrie Bradshaw are still applicable to the complex dating lives of women today.

Samantha Jones' groundbreaking attitudes to sex were also controversial at the time, but arguably educated an entire generation of women on sexual positivity.

Controversial statement incoming; Love Island's Danny Williams and Jourdan Riane have already discussed marriage, despite having only known each other for less than a month. Sounds super real, doesn't it?

The ITV reality stars confirmed their relationship after they were dumped from the island weeks before the final, and now say they're completely in love.

The pair have obviously been plagued with accusations of a 'showmance', but are emphasising that their love is real when they appeared on a Channel 5 online interview today.

"Could you guys see yourselves getting married?" presenter Will Njobvu asked them. "Are you going to marry me?" Jourdan quizzed Danny, leaning in to his face.

"Are you going to marry me? Are you going to propose?" he responded. "Wooow!" Jourdan laughed. "No, I can see this lasting."

Danny gushed to his new girlfriend: "I said to you, when you met my parents, this has got long-term written all over it, and I've never said that before in a relationship. She met everyone – grandmas, little cousins, everybody loved her, and for me that's a massive thing."

"I think if that's happening already I can definitely see long-term future plans with you," Danny said. "We've got holidays booked already, it's good."

Jourdan commented: "We're best friends already, it's a very chilled relationship. It's working. Hope so, fingers crossed it works. I do see it lasting and working."

The couple were dumped by their fellow Islanders for being the least compatible romance, but have made a flying start to their relationship on the outside.

They attended a star-studded viewing party of the final, where Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea became king and queen of the villa and split the £50,000 between them.

Danny and Jourdan were joined by none other than Yewande Biala, who was fuming when Danny's head was turned by Arabella Chi in the villa and chose the model in the next recoupling, leaving her dumped.

Curtis Pritchard has opened up about why himself and Maura didn't have sex in the Love Island villa, and it makes plenty of sense.

Viewers were confused when Curtis kept rebuffing Maura's advances in bed, shutting down any chance of the pair consummating their relationship in the house.

In a joint interview with the Mail Online after the show ended, Curtis revealed the real reason behind his actions (or lack thereof).

"I want her and only her to experience it," Curtis told the publication. "We are in a bedroom with 14 other people!"

Maura echoed Curtis’ reason, admitting that Curtis was aware of how loud Maura might get; "I think it was more people hearing, he knows how loud I am."

The couple are back home and will have the opportunity to spend some quality alone time together away from the cameras, much to Maura's delight.

"No, we’ve not had a chance! Let’s just say, I’m sure we’ll get it done."

Many people assumed that Curtis rejected Maura’s sexual advances so that he can keep the opportunity alive of working for Strictly Come Dancing. Having sex on TV can harm such chances.

His brother AJ is part of the professional line-up, so it makes sense that he'd want to join him. When asked about his interest in the popular show, he said:

"First time I’ve heard of it, but I’d never close the door! I’d love to work with my brother he’s one of my idols."

Maura and Curtis came in fourth place in Monday night's live final of Love Island, behind Ovie and India, Molly and Tommy and winners Greg O'Shea and Amber Gill.

Maura admits that it wasn’t the outcome she expected, throwing her support behind her best friend from the villa;

‘I’m not going to lie, I was shocked. I love Greg and Amber but Tommy and Molly-Mae were in love.

We ain't so sure about this statement, we have to say. Jordyn Woods has referred to the fallout from the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal as 'cancerous', and EEK.

Sis did NOT hold back in a new interview with  Cosmopolitan UK, where she says that she didn't know what the "right thing to do" was after Tristan kissed her.

Woods divulged more scandalous statements about the Khloe Kardashian/Tristan Thompson cheating drama, saying; "Sh*t happens," Jordyn said. Very eloquent.

"And in the end, I never want to see anyone hurt; I would hate to be the reason for anyone's pain. We all have to go to sleep with ourselves at night," she added.

Jordyn also confessed that she became addicted to looking at everyone's reactions to the news, calling it 'cancerous';

“It becomes addictive to look on the internet, to look at your name. When I would look at my name and see all of the things that people were saying, it became like a tumour. It became cancerous to me.”

The young model also describes how she didn't know "what the right thing to do" was after the kiss;

"I just needed some time by myself to try to understand what was happening, why it was happening, and how am I going to react to this internally, you know? How can I make things right with myself, with God and with my relationships?"

She was completely "in shock" after Tristan kissed her, and all she could think was;  "That didn't just happen."

Jordyn also emphasised her hope that one day she could be friends with Kylie Jenner again, saying;

"I love her. That’s my homie. I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier."

Kylie just unfollowed her on Instagram the other day, so we're sort of doubting if this could ever happen. Considering Khloe is her big sister, she's most likely going to choose to support her rather than Jordyn.

Many of us remember the iconic nightclub Dandelion from back in the day. Located directly beside St Stephen's Green shopping centre, it was at the forefront of Irish nightlife until it closed a few years ago.

Located where the old club used to be is a new, multifunctional space known as The Well, and we can't rave about it enough. The area is massive, and decked out with slick interiors and stunning art pieces on the walls.

Half of the room is decorated as a bar area with numerous seating options and hanging plants, but at night it turns into a chic bar with DJs banging out disco, funk and hip-hop tunes on the decks.

The Well's interior features furniture made from recycled and refurbished materials, which is in line with the venue's pledge to use sustainable materials and ethically produced decor. Snaps for being woke.

The second half of the space has been taken over by Dublin Pizza Company as a restaurant, and their oven-cooked grub is absolutely legendary.
