Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson has emotionally opened up about her body positivity journey to her Instagram followers, describing how she saw herself as the 'fat one from Little Mix'.

The musician won The X Factor in 2011 with the girl group, and has recently filmed a new documentary exploring body image and mental health for BBC One and BBC Three.

The 28-year-old explained to her 5.4 million followers on social media that she wanted to 'erase' her former self 'from my mind and everyone else's memory' until only six months ago.

The caption reads; "Six months ago this girl was someone I just wanted to forget. I wanted to erase her from my mind and everyone else’s memory. I didn’t see her as Jesy I saw her as “the fat one from Little Mix”.

"Up until now I hated her not because she’d ever done anything bad but because I was made to hate her by endless amounts of trolling. Since filming my documentary for @bbcone and @bbcthree I’ve learned so much more than I ever expected to," the singer continued.

"Thanks to all the inspirational people I’ve met on this emotional journey, I now love the girl in this photo. I’ve made this documentary for 2011 Jesy and for anyone who might be feeling like she did. I refused to speak about how I was feeling for so long."

The Little Mix star, who is loved up with her reality tv star boyfriend Chris Hughes, encouraged her followers to open up about their body image struggles and get mental health assistance if needed;

"I was embarrassed and scared to. But I was so wrong to feel that way. Please if you are feeling how I did, SPEAK ABOUT IT. Talk to your family, speak to your friends, there’s always help out there," she added.

"If you’d have told that girl one day you won’t feel sad anymore, I’d never have believed you….and here I am. Now when I look in the mirror, I don’t see Jesy the fat one, I see Jesy the happy one."

Gardaí have gathered a list of names of those who they're trying to track down in Co. Kilkenny after three juvenile girls were sexually assaulted in Wexford last weekend.

Detectives believe that these individuals may have been directly involved in the attack or were with a number of men who carried it out on Sunday night. More than one man was apparently involved.

Gardaí are investigating claims that at least one 14-year-old girl was raped, and two other girls sexually assaulted. A specialist child interviewer has been hired to conduct the interviews.

A manhunt is ongoing in the Kilkenny area for a number of young men who Gardaí want to question about the attacks, which allegedly took place in the holiday town of Courtown Harbour, Co. Wexford.

The alleged incident happened shortly around midnight in the Burrow area, and the complainants are all young teenage girls. Gardaí are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.

The parents apparently reported to Gardaí that the girls were sexually assaulted on Sunday morning, and three girls made official statements to specialist officers. They were also brought to a sexual assault unit for treatment.

The girls are originally from the Dublin area, according to The Independent, and the attacks allegedly happened close to the beach in the north Wexford seaside village.

Gardaí were last night desperately trying to make contact with a number of suspects based in Kilkenny, and the area where the attacks allegedly happened were sealed off on Sunday while an exam took place.

"Each of the alleged victims was subjected to a different type of sexual assault," a senior source said last night.

"The alleged victims are fully co-operating with the investigation which is being treated in the most sensitive way," the source added.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the Burrow area between 10pm on Saturday night and 2am on Sunday morning who saw any suspicious behaviour to contact Gardaí in Gorey on 053 943 0690 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Gardaí are not releasing any further information “due to the sensitive nature of the incident” but a senior source described the claims as 'credible'.

A garda spokesperson said: “Owing to the nature of the alleged incidents and ages of those involved we will not be commenting further at this time.” Enquiries are ongoing, but no arrests have been made so far in the case.

Love Island's Ovie Soko has given an adorable response to the love he's received since participating in the reality TV show.

The 28-year-old basketball player earned third place in this year's show, alongside India Reynolds, but won the fans' affection with his chilled out vibes, hilarious egg-making antics and fashion sense.

Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea were crowned king and queen of 2019's series, but Ovie Soko is possibly the true winner.

Ovie joined the series during Casa Amor, and immediately showed interest in Anna Vakili, who brought him back to the main villa after a recoupling.

The fans fell in love with his demeanor, good vibes and hilarious catchphrases, not to mention those stylin' bucket hats.

When asked by MailOnline how he felt about garnering an onslaught of fan affection, Ovie responded in the most Ovie way possible.

"I don’t really get it," he said, before admitting: "I haven’t seen anything yet. We’re just closing up over here, I am overwhelmed by the love."

Asked about where his chilled-out nature comes from, Ovie commented,

"When I was in primary school I had a lot of energy and been bouncing off the walls but I’m just a chilled person really. I just don’t get ahead of myself. We’re in a huge villa in the sun in Spain, you don’t have much to worry about."

Ovie revealed that his notorious catchphrase comes from watching iconic 1990s American movies;

"Message?! Oh wow!" he continued. "I used to watch a lot of comedy when I was younger, I watched Don’t Be A Menace and it stuck into my head when the phone went off."

Thank God for Ovie, who was hugely important for black representation this year and showed that male and female friendships should be valued as much as romance.

Maura's mum wants to grab him for herself, so he may need security coming home to Heathrow airport. Every age group and gender want some more Ovie in their lives, and brands are already flocking to nab him for deals.

There'll undoubtedly be a massive crowd waiting to catch a glimpse of their hero, but we're just overjoyed that he made it out of Casa Amor onto our screens. For Amber's sake too, seeing as he became her 'guardian angel.'

Strictly season is officially kicking off, and the excitement has been building up every since the announcement that Oti Mabuse's sister will replace Shirley Ballas as a judge on the show.

28-year-old Latin dancer Nancy Xu will take the place of departing pro dancer Pasha Kovalev, which is another change to the regular line-up of pro dancers and judges.

The first three Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestants appear to have been accidentally leaked on TV ahead of the schedule today on Good Morning Britain.

Radio presenter Iain Lee was discussing the upcoming announcement on The One Show when he let slip that Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice would be taking part in the BBC dancing series.

When hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway asked him about the news, Iain replied: "They are going to announce the first three people on a show called The One Show – it’s going to be Sam Allardyce, Jamie Laing and Anneka Rice."

Ben asked: "They are announcing it later and you have already announced it?" Iain wasn't overly worried, turning to the camera and saying; "Sorry One Show! Sorry Alex Jones!"

They fear that there will be bias when it comes to dishing out scores and that Motsi will go easy on her younger sister, 28.

Motsi and Oti have already been in a similar position when Oti was a pro on the German show for two series and and has already experienced being judged by her sibling.

“Motsi is totally impartial,” said a source. “She will be scrupulously fair, as she always was with Oti on the German version.”

Maura Higgins has given an explanation for her shocked (and pretty angry) face as the Love Island winners were revealed on Monday night.

The Irish grid girl was accused of having a sour face when Amber GIll and Greg O'Shea were announced as King and Queen of the villa ahead of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague.

Many fans claim that Tommy and Molly deserved the £50,000 prize, seeing as they are the only official couple in the villa.

28-year-old Maura has now confirmed her displeasure after the vote was called out, saying; "You know what, I'm not going to lie – I was shocked.

"Obviously, I love Greg and Amber to bits, but I mean, it’s Love Island. Molly and Tommy have found love, it’s genuine love, and I was without a doubt shocked. I thought they had it in the bag.”

She added: "It is Love Island and they found love." Maura also stuck up for her friend Molly-Mae after she was accused of faking her feelings for Tommy to nab the prize money.

"I don’t have a clue why – Molly-Mae is the most genuine girl I’ve ever met in my life. She is without a doubt besotted by Tommy, and they’re the perfect couple.”

The winning couple have since made their relationship official, silencing critics who hit out at them for winning after only being together for two weeks.

During an interview with the Mirror, Greg asked Amber if they were now exclusive. "I think that… yeah," she said.

Greg responded: "I don’t think it's in our nature to see other people. We’re both quite loyal and we’re really into each other at the moment even though it’s only early stages. So definitely we’re only seeing each other."

Amber's ex Michael Griffiths infamously cheated on her during trip to Casa Amor and broke her heart by recoupling with Joanna Chimonides.

Greg notoriously kept calling him 'Mike', which was beyond hilarious, so perhaps the comment about loyalty was a sly (deserved) dig? We love it, Greg. Go team.

Queen of the Love Island villa Amber Gill has reacted to Michael Griffiths crawling back to Joanna Chimonides after he was dumped from the house.

She believes that she deserved to win with Greg O'Shea because of the horrendous journey Michael sent her on, after the firefighter's head was turned while she was at Casa Amor.

Michael and Amber coupled up early on but were torn apart after he broke her heart by cheating with Joanna Chimonides.

Michael and Joanna have been spotted together on the outside kissing at a festival, despite having a fight when Michael didn't walk away from the villa with her when she was dumped.

In the explosive row, Joanna branded Michael a 'snake' and said 'if you've found what you want then you'd better f*cking leave, mate." Yikes. Despite this, they seem to be back together.

Amber has since branded their reconciliation 'weird.', saying; "Am I surprised by that? To be fair I didn’t see much of their relationship. I don’t really know how they were."

The Geordie lass added; "Michael definitely tried to come back to me so I think it’s a bit weird. I don’t really want to say too much," said Amber.

The 21-year-old said she doesn't believe she would have won the public vote in Monday's live final if she had gone back to Michael.

"If I'd gone for Michael it would have been she’s gone back to the guy who didn’t treat her well," explained Amber. "Me and Greg were a good match and he came in when I needed a gent and I feel like that's why it went for us," she added.

"I don’t think Michael will be kicking himself. I think he was happy for me either way. I think everything happens for a reason. We’ll have to see what his reason is," she told the Mirror.

Joanna and Michael set the rumour mill alight when they were spotted looking cosy at a Kisstory even in London on Saturday.

Joanna had vowed that she'd never go back there, but this appears to have been straight up nonsense…She's since denied any romance between them.

She hit out on social media: "I just want to make a point, we weren't kissing. He was saying something in my ear and I found it funny. I can't remember what it was," she told her followers.

"Is her ear located in her mouth?" tweeted one online user. Michael's reaction to Greg and Amber's win was to say; "Oh s***, oh s***, I did not expect that," he said. "Ratings."

He also implied that Amber would have stolen the 50,000 pounds rather than split it, which is another loads of bullsh*t from a bitter man.

Do you know any especially wildly cranky siblings or grumpy but chilled out friends that you reckon deserve to have a massive winter storm named after them? We can think of a few.

Now is finally your chance to get a storm named in your honour, or as a tribute to a pal or member of your family. You could even get one named after your worst enemy, if that's the mood you're in.

National forecaster Met Eireann have joined forces with the UK Met Office to launch their new 'Call for Storm Names' scheme this winter, and want our help.

The 'Name our Storms' scheme aims to raise awareness of severe weather before it strikes.

A storm warrants a name when the Met Office or Met Éireann will issue an orange or red weather warning, and you buy all the booze and bread from Tesco and barricade your gaff.

The names are chosen based on the public's submissions every year, and memorable weather events in recent years include Storm Emma, Storm Ali and Storm Ophelia.

Remember when Lidl was raided by a JCB during Storm Emma in Tallaght last year? Mad times, they were.

Storms are named in alphabetical order in the sequence they occur, with each storm alternate between the first letter of a male name and female name, similar to the pattern created by the US National Hurricane Centre in the 1970s.

Storms starting with letters Q, U, X, Y and Z won’t be used, unfortunately. The first storms last year were named Ali and Bronagh, but this winter the first storm will be female.

Forecasters will avoid names with 'resonance' in the weather world, like 'Katrina' or 'Charlie' and famous/notorious names will be avoided. There'll be no Storm Greg (O'Shea), Storm Boris or Storm Trump.

Use the hashtag #IrishStormNames on Twitter to send your suggestion, email Met Éireann at stormnames@met.ie or write to Evelyn Cusack, Met Éireann, Glasnevin Hill, Dublin 9.

We deserve a Storm Maura after her explosive entrance into this year's Love Island villa, don't you agree?

“Many couples invite more guests to join them for a bigger party after the main meal so it’s fun to offer a flexible, sharing food, such as pizza, so everyone feels part of the big night.”

Ian Straughan, Head of Product Innovation at Domino’s comments: “We’re seeing a growing trend in Ireland from couples requesting pizza to provide wedding guests with a fun, modern twist.  With wedding season in full swing, we were surprised to learn that almost a third of wedding guests (29 percent) don't like the traditional food they're served. Nearly half (47 percent) even admit they tend to avoid at least one course, leaving them hungry for an alternative to soggy sandwiches and dehydrated chicken nuggets later in the evening.”

“Choice and experience are key to catering for large groups and Domino’s delivers fresh, great quality, hot food ensuring everyone will be happy, whether it’s a Cheeseburger pizza, a Vegi Supreme or a Delight Pizza with only 650 calories.”

The finalists- Ovie Soko, India Reynolds, Greg O'Shea, Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard- are all on lockdown for 24 hours to receive aftercare and media training.

Before they jet back to the UK and Ireland and re-enter the real world, eight of the contestants will take part in a day of advisory sessions to aid them in readjusting to newfound fame.

"Bosses are leaving no stone unturned this year," an insider told The Sun. "Whereas the first day of freedom after the villa was historically a free-for-all, they are now making everyone stay put and have a “down day” with bespoke sessions.

"There was a feeling they let them loose too soon and with not enough advice so they’re just changing it entirely this year. It’s a day of adjusting back to civilian life," the source added.

"Their lives aren’t going to be the same again so experts will be on hand for any questions or worries they have." Love Island producers revealed their revamped aftercare programme back in May, including therapy and 14 months of support.

In the full statement, the show outlined three ‘key stages’ for the pre-filming, filming and aftercare – with aftercare especially getting an increase in support.

Thorough pre-filming psychological and medical assessments including assessments by an independent doctor, psychological consultant and discussion with each Islander’s own GP to check medical history take place.

Potential Islanders are required to fully disclose any relevant medical history that would be relevant to their inclusion in the villa and the production’s ability to provide a suitable environment for them.

Detailed explanations both verbally and in writing of the implications, both positive and negative, of taking part in the series are given to potential cast members throughout the casting process and reinforced within the contract so it is clear.

Cast are told they should consider all the potential implications of taking part in the show and work through this decision-making process in consultation with their family and those closest to them, to ensure they feel it is right for them.

Senior Team on the ground have received training in Mental Health First Aid. A welfare team solely dedicated to the Islanders both during the show and after.

Aftercare includes training on dealing with social media and advice on finance and adjusting to life back home, as well as a minimum of eight therapy sessions when they return home.

Proactive contact with islanders for a period of 14 months up until the end of the next series will ensue. This means contact with the Islander will last for 14 months after the series in which they have appeared has ended, with additional help provided where applicable.

ITV encourage Islanders to secure management to represent them after the show and manage them should they choose to take part in other TV shows, advertising campaigns or other public appearance opportunities.

Geordie OGs will feature Gary Beadle, Holly Hagan, Aaron Chalmers and Marnie Simpson over the course of the miniseries, and we're dying to catch up.

Gaz's time in Geordie Shore will always be remembered for his on-off tumultuous relationship with ex-girlfriend Charlotte Crosby, but now he's a dad-of-one with another baby on the way.

Marnie Simpson recently announced that she's pregnant with her and X Factor star Casey Johnson's first child together.

She's giving up the partying for good, and cameras will follow her in Bedfortshire with Casey, her mum and stepdad as she prepares for her big arrival outside of Newcastle.

Marnie was notorious for her relationship with ex-boyfriend Aaron Chalmers, who became a mixed martial arts fighter after leaving the house.

An ex Love Island contestant has accused the show's bosses of "fixing" the series to Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague would beat Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea.

The Geordie beauty technician and Irish rugby player were crowned King and Queen of the villa, taking home the £50,000 cash prize last night.
