HB Ice Cream are getting their science caps on and delivering the research we both need and deserve: Ireland's top new language terms.

The bizarre evolution of our generation's language is mainly clocked down to social media, with social-speak invading 70 percent of all real life (IRL) conversations for young people.

The HBae summer campaign has named the top terms for the country's summer, with 'YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS', 'Vibes' and 'Can't Even' leading the pack.

30 rock hello GIF

We truly are living our best lives this summer, with that term tagged in almost half of the most popular summer content this season.

'Bae' is another word we love to hate in Ireland, with 'fleek' coming in second as the most despised phrase.

HBae O'Clock is a series of flash ice cream giveaways celebrating Ireland's language evolution, and all we can say is: Treat Yo'Self.

It turns out that keyboard chatter is massive in the Emerald Isle, with a whopping third of young Irish adults admitting to chatting through social channels over 20 times a day. Relax there, lads.

HB is encouraging the great Irish public to prep themselves for a flurry of 'kween', 'YAAAAASSSSSSS', 'holibobs', 'this one', 'vibes', 'stun' and '#deserved' tags taking over the social media grid.

Research shows that 10 percent of Dublin, Connacht and Ulster are set to scream ‘YAAAAASSSSSSS’ this summer, while 12 percent Munster are saying 'Not Able' (N'able)

11 percent of Leinster (all of South Dublin, bae-sically) say we're all about dem 'vibes'.

Obviously. 68 percent of speakers in the land are native in Ireland's newest social media slang lingo and 90 percent of that group admit that it helps them connect with friends.

Our language doesn't stop online, social media speak is now invading 70 percent of all conversations in person. Awks.

Ireland is 'living it's best life' this summer, with the term tagged in almost half of the most popular content this season. 81 percent of young Irish people use the term 'holibops', 'sunny dzay' and 'festi-gals'.

60 percent of us are willing to post holiday pics and 19 percent will post ice-cream photos or selfies with '#deserved' becoming a top tag for ice cream posters.

The most annoying social media terms in Leinster with 38 percent of the vote are 'nom noms', 70 percent of people voted for 'bae' and 'not able' is also up there in the most annoying pile.

'Fleek' and 'holibops' are also getting under people's skin, but the terms show no sign of slowing down. Soz not soz. We're surprised 'shook' wasn't mentioned, personally.

HBae O'Clock is giving away flash ice cream giveaways to celebrate the research of our most prevalent social terms, giving us our fave tasty treats all summer long.

Simply tag  #HBaeoclock every Friday to be in with a chance to grab them ice cream cones before anyone else gets their paws on them.

Seeing as there's a damn HEATWAVE going on all over the world (*cough* climate breakdown *cough*) why not celebrate the world coming to an end with some liquid sugar?

Most of us are more than aware that we need to leave our vaginas alone. Whatever goes up there can cause some serious problems for your foof, so be a bit careful.

However, it seems a certain part of the population has to be told not to put a certain cold treat up there during scorching hot heatwave temperatures…

The UK is set to be hit with the hottest temperature on record today, with highs of 39 degrees Celsius expected. Medical advice online has now released tips on how to cool down, and ice lollies aren't on the list.

One suggestion out there is literally something that should never have been said, but apparently some women are this desperate for some chilly relief.

I'm not quite sure who would consider putting ice lollies up their vagina, but there must be at least one person out there who's doing it if doctors have released a warning against the act.

Speaking to Metro, Dr Sarah Welsh, co-founder of condom brand HANX, warned women not to put ice lollies anywhere near their genitals.

She commented:

"The vagina is composed of very delicate and sensitive skin, hence things that may seem innocent to other areas of the body, if they come in contact with the vagina, can cause infections, irritations and damage.

"There are many things that should never go near a vagina and ice lollies are up there. The ice can stick to the delicate skin of the vagina and cause real trauma and damage."

The sugar in the lolly can also disrupt the natural pH of the vagina, and the lolly is also likely to break inside you. This could honestly be the plot of a horror movie, there's so many things wrong here.

A nurse in June warned women not to try and vacuum their periods after two young women were hospitalised for trying the absurd task.

The 29 and 23-year-old women had used a Hoove to attempt to suck up their menstrual blood, and this was the point where we felt the bile rise at the back of our throats. Dear God.

In a now-deleted tweet, the nurse emphasised the dangers of trying the Hoover method:

"Your period has a steady flow of its own that for all intents and purposes your body can tolerate. A vacuum increases the flow over 1,000 times which your body can't tolerate, therefore sending you into shock."

Over the last few months, women have also been urged not to put garlic, parsley, bath bombs and cucumbers inside their vaginas. Honestly, it just shows how sexual health education is really lacking.

Leave your lady-business alone gals, or you won't be feeling so fanny-astic in the nurse's office.

Beyoncé laments her weight gain after giving birth to twins Rumi and Sir in a new video titled 22 Days, proving she's just like us in so many ways.

The clip shows Queen Bey following a strict organic, vegan, non-GMO diet and working out endlessly to get back into shape in time for her ground-breaking Coachella tour last year.

The 37-year-old had just given birth to her baby twins at the beginning of the video, and it begins with the superstar singer stepping onto the weighing scales and saying;

"Good morning, it’s 5am, and this is day one of rehearsals for Coachella."

The weighing scales show that her weight is 175lbs (roughly 79kg) and she proclaims; "Every woman’s nightmare. Long way to go."

Her 22 Days nutrition programme was set up by her friend and personal trainer, Marco Borges.

"I’m back on the stage after giving birth to twins. I was a woman that felt like my body was not mine," the Spirit singer admits in the candid clip.

"Me getting the weight off was so much easier than getting my body back in shape and feeling comfortable."

The video also gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at Beyoncé in intense Coachell rehearsals, food-repping and working out ahead of her headline set, which became a Netflix film in a multi-million deal.

Queen Bey claims she has a "special bond" with daughter Blue Ivy, and has been honest with her followers about her post-pregnancy weight loss journey in the past.

In her Netflix documentary Homecoming, she shares:

"I’m limiting myself to no bread, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no meat, no fish, no alcohol – and I’m hungry." The star has just released her Lion King album, The Gift.

The former Destiny's Child band-member admitted that she worried her body following Rumi and Sir's birth would affect her performance;

"There were days when I thought I would never be the same I’d never be the same physically, my strength and endurance would never be the same.

"And you know, a lot of the choreography is about feeling so it’s not as technical, it’s your own personality that brings it to life."

She continues: "And that’s hard when you don’t feel like yourself. I had to rebuild my body. It took me a while to feel confident to give my own personality."

AJ Pritchard has jumped to his brother's defence after last night's explosive episode of Love Island, where Anna Vakili branded Curtis Pritchard a 'narcissist'.

The pharmacist blasted fellow islander Curtis after he told her boyfriend Jordan Hames to pull India Reynolds aside to confess his feelings for her behind Anna's back.

Professional dancer Curtis encouraged Jordan to act on his emotions, even though Hames had only asked Anna to be his girlfriend two days previously.

Of course, the entire WORLD wondered what on earth Curtis was thinking when he gave Jordan that appalling advice.

Irish charmer Greg won the episode by asking him; "What was your thought process behind that?" The legend jumped out.

Anna was understandably raging at Curtis after she discovered what he'd done.

Maura was none too pleased with him when he couldn't tell her how he would act if he landed in the same situation as Jordan.

Curtis even told Maura that Jordan was BRAVE to confess his feelings to India. Why does anyone go to him for advice, honestly? His behaviour with Amy alone should have sent up red flares.

28-year-old Anna fumed at Curtis for his advice to Jordan last night, saying: "I just don't know if you are a good person really, because good people don't move like that.

"You move like you're such a good person and you're not. A good person would never say to anybody to do that to their other half," she continued.

"Do you not care about me a little bit? I have been living with you for the past two months, you obviously don't care about me. You're a narcissist, that's my opinion of you." YES BISH.

After hearing Anna’s comments, Curtis’ younger bother, Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard took to Twitter to leap to his defence.

The 24-year-old seemed to suggest that Anna did not truly understand the meaning of the word. He wrote: “Does Anna know the definition of narcissistic?

"Narcissist: Having or showing an excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's physical appearance. #loveisland @loveisland.” Shadier than a palm tree.

Maura Higgins also quizzed Curtis on the advice he gave out. saying; “So in this situation, if I was your girlfriend, you would do the same thing?”

"I don’t know what I’d do in that situation,” Curtis replied. “Oh wow,” Maura said, as she gets up to walk away from him, adding: “That’s great, that’s great”. The man needs to find the door.

What do you think, are you team Pritchard Bros or Team Anna/The Rest of the World?

Remember when Michael and Yewande were coupled up when Love Island first began, albeit reluctantly? And they became pally and supportive of one another? Before the devil took Michael's soul?

Well, the former duo live streamed their hilarious reactions to the drama between Jordan and Anna, which absolutely exploded in the villa over the last two nights.

Love Island viewers were left in total shock as Jordan decided to pull India for a chat to confess his feelings for her, without telling Anna first. The same Anna who happens to be his girlfriend…

The cheeky model was exposed when Curtis told his plan to Maura, who went straight to Anna to warn her of what was going on behind her back.

Curtis didn't come out of the whole debacle looking squeaky clean, seeing as he had advised Jordan to pull India aside first instead of talking to Anna.

Probably because he knew India would turn Jordan down and then he'd 'settle' for Anna, crawling back to his poor girlfriend. He tried to gaslight Anna completely, who was having none of it.

Everyone was shooketh by Jordan's dramatic character change, which also occurred with Danny Williams and villa villain Michael Griffiths. The spirit of the fuckboy lives on, it seems.

The girls charged in behind Anna, with Jordan stuck (rightfully) on his own… except for Curtis Pritchard. Both Jordan and Anna as well as Harley and Chris were dumped from the island last night.

Michael Griffiths and Yewande Biala were live-streaming their responses to the drama unfolding, and it was entertaining as f*ck:

Both former Islanders were left in complete disbelief at Jordan's appalling behaviour, with Michael saying; "Everyone thought I f**ked up but… oooh." We still think you f**ked up, Michael. For the record.

Yewande took a sly dig at the Liverpudlian firefighter, for treating Amber in a terrible manner, explaining that boys simply can't keep it in their trousers when new women enter the villa.

They claim to be happy with their partner, but then constantly seek an upgrade and assume they can do better;

Protect Yewande at all costs, as the fans say. After Anna was voted out, she said she'd experienced "lots of ups-and-downs".

"Obviously, the Jordan thing was one of my lowest moments," she continued. On the subject of her feelings about Jordan, she said:

"I'm so disappointed in him and I'm hurt by him. I'm shocked. I don't have anger towards him, if anything I feel sorry for him."

The grisly home where Charles Manson's cult brutally murdered Rosemary and Leon LaBianca in 1969 is up for sale at the moment, and who wouldn't want to live there?

The retail price is set at a cool $1.98 million (€1.78 million). The house is a definitive part of the pop culture landscape and is most likely haunted, so it's in demand.

The potentially haunted gaff is the setting where Charles Manson's followers killed Leno and Rosemary LaBianca on Manson's orders, the day after they murdered Sharon Tate in 1969.

If you're into your old Hollywood luxury as well as your macabre Netflix murder documentaries, then boy is this the home for you. If you've got a spare $2 million hanging around, that is.

According to The Washington Post, the two-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home has been on the market for the last two weeks, just in time for the premiere for Quentin Tarantino's latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Sharon Tate, wife of Roman Polanski, features in the film (portrayed by Margot Robbie), which people have criticised for insensitivity.

The 50-year anniversary of the murders is also almost here, and the last time the property was on the market was in 1998.

Redfin real estate agent Robert Giambalvo says that interest in the property is relatively high, because people are weird and seem to get a high from homes people painfully died in.

“It’s just such a calm, peaceful, serene environment that I don’t think anybody cares about what happened a long time ago,” Giambalvo told the Los Angeles Times.

“The first showings were yesterday, and I already have several people telling me that their clients are preparing to make an offer.” Okay Sir, whatever you say.

The property realtors advise that anyone interested in the house does their homework.

“We don’t want somebody to go into escrow and find out 10 days, 15 days later that there was the event that happened 50 years ago. And then they don’t want to buy it because of that,” Giambalvo explained.

“We just wanted people to make offers with their eyes wide open.” Why not give it a try? It'll be like sleeping in the well from The Ring, or the mansion from The Haunting of Hill House. What fun.

Nearly 1,000 people in Ireland were treated in sexual-assault units in 2018, according to new data.

This is a shocking increase of almost 10 percent in 2017, which is quite the jump. 20 children under the age of 14-years-old were treated after sexual assaults last year alone.

Ireland has six sexual-assault treatment units, where people may present themselves after an attack.

The sexual-assault treatment units are located in hospitals in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Mullingar, Waterford and Letterkenny.

There were 865 presentations at the six units in 2017, but this rose to 941 in 2018 according to the latest details released under the Freedom of Information Act.

In Mullingar Regional Hospital, 203 sex-assault victims were treated in 2018 alone, which is a worrying 17 percent increase.

Noeline Blackwell, the chief executive of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, isn't taken aback by the sharp increase across the nation.

"People are more ready to recognise that these are units which are specifically dedicated to dealing with victims of sexual assault," she said.

"You don't have to be referred there by the Gardaí, people don't even have to have an examination for court purposes there if they don't want to but they certainly will get the medical help that they need and a recognition of the trauma of the sexual assault as well."

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre recently called for increased funding to deal with the "epidemic of sexual violence" in the country. In 2018, 13,949 people contacted the organisation.

This means that around 270 people per week contact the 24-hour helpline, with over 13,300 calls every year.

94 percent of people treated in Ireland's six units last year were women, with 6 percent being men.

Boots Ireland have today launched their Night Walks for Night Nurses campaign, encouraging people to join fundraising Night Walks in either Phoenix Park, Dublin (16 August) or  Blackrock Castle (Carpark), Cork (23 August).

Tickets to join the 5km walk cost €15 for an adult, and under 16s go free. Walks start at 7.30pm in Dublin and 7.00 pm in Cork. Each adult ticket comes with a free t-shirt.

Alongside the walks, Honour Tags are on sale in Boots stores nationwide for €2. Customers can purchase a tag in honour of someone who has survived or passed away from cancer. One metre will be walked in honour of that person and the tags are brought to respective walks. The front of the tag allows for the name of the individual with space on the back for a personal message.

Funds raised will go towards the Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing service, which provides end of life care for cancer patients in their own home, allowing them to pass away at home surrounded by family and loved ones as well as giving much needed respite for the family caring for them.

The Night Nurse service has run for over 30 years and operates in every county in Ireland. The service has made a huge contribution to cancer support, providing over 7,400 nights of care in 2018 alone, to 1,861 patients. There are 180 Night Nurses in operation around Ireland, providing up to 10 nights of care for cancer patients in their own home, during the last days of their life. The service is provided completely free of charge.

Ambassador Teresa Mannion said: “Having faced cancer myself, I saw the impact it has not only on those with a diagnosis, but on their loved ones also. Patients, and those supporting them, are exhausted both physically and mentally and the Irish Cancer Society’s Night Nurses play such a critical caring role. Night Nurses allow everyone to sleep, assured that they are in the best hands, and it’s wonderful to see Boots step up and host fundraisers such as these.”

Boots MD Bernadette Lavery said: “We were thrilled to see over 600 people attend the walks last year, raising more than €50,000 for this great service. Since partnering with the Irish Cancer Society back in 2012 we have raised over €1.4 million or over 4,000 nights for this much-needed service, and we are incredibly proud of Boots’ ongoing commitment to supporting those living with cancer. We’ve set ourselves a target to raise more than ever before this year, so would love to see more participants at our walks, which are truly inspirational and uplifting events.”

Speaking at the launch of the Night Walks campaign, Averil Power, Chief Executive, Irish Cancer Society, said: “The Night Nursing service allows cancer patients to remain in their own home during their last days. The Night Nurses are there through the night, keeping the patient comfortable, while also supporting family members during a very difficult time. As the service is almost entirely donation-funded, we rely on the support of Boots staff and customers to ensure we can be there for more families in need of this crucial care.”
