Ashley Benson has officially made her love for girlfriend and suspected fiancé Cara Delevigne known in a permanent way: Ink.

The 29-year-old showed off a 'CD' tattoo inked below her armpit in a photo shared on Instagram, announcing the launch of her new Privé Revaux X Benzo sunglass collection.

“So excited to share this with you guys,” the Pretty Little Liars star captioned the photo, adding a heart emoji. “My new collection with Privé Revaux is here.”

Benson sports a pair of shades from the line in the image, posing with her arms in the air in order to expose the gorgeous tattoo.

While the actress didn't confirm that the initials are a tribute to her 26-year-old supermodel girlfriend, fans couldn't help but get excited.

The lovebirds sparked engagement rumours this month after being spotted wearing bands on their ring fingers in St. Tropez.

Delevigne and Benson keep their relationship status pretty quiet since being first linked in August 2018, but they did confirm their romance in June 2019 for their first anniversary.

“I don’t know because it is Pride, it’s been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don’t know,” she revealed to E! News. “It’s been just about our one-year anniversary so, why not?”

Delevingne was honoured with the Hero Award for her commitment to supporting The Trevor Project’s mission of ending suicide among LGBTQ+ youth.

The star thanked Benson for her support during her acceptance speech;

“I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are,” she told the audience, according to E! News.

“She’s one of the people who help me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.”

The pair have been snapped piling on the PDA since they were first seen kissing in late 2018. We are LOVING the romance between the pair. True gay icons.

Researchers have identified a new species of pocket shark from the Gulf of Mexico, which uses it’s pouches to squirt a fluorescent fluid to conceal it from prey or predators.

The tiny shark found almost 10 years ago has turned out to be a new species, and we don’t know what to think of it. Is it cute, is it terrifying?

The American pocket shark is named after the pouches it has near it’s front fins rather than it’s diminutive size, and was collected during a survey to find out what sperm whales eat nearly a decade ago.

The five-and-a-half inch male shark has five features which aren’t found on any other known specimen of this king

The mysterious pouches squirt little glowing clouds into the ocean, according to scientists studying the creature.

The details of the latest species are described in the journal Zootaxa by Mark Grace of the NMFS Mississippi Laboratories of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Henry Bart and Michael Doosey of the Tulane University Biodiversity Research.

On the discovery, Grace said: “I’ve been in science about 40 years and I can usually make a pretty good guess about a marine animal’s identity. I couldn’t with this one.”

Grace then turned to experts at Tulane University and the American Museum of Natural History in New York, and the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida.

Tulane researcher Michael Doosey/Mark Grace at the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration

A 2015 paper identified the shark as only the second of it’s kind, but it took four more years of analysing the creature to make sure that it was a brand new species.

“The fact that only one pocket shark has ever been reported from the Gulf of Mexico, and that it is a new species, underscores how little we know about the Gulf – especially its deeper waters – and how many additional new species from these waters await discovery,” Henry Bart said.

Identifying the shark involved examining and photographing external features with a dissecting microscope, studying x-ray images and high resolution CT scans.

Somehow we don’t think it’ll be this cute, despite the name:

Amy Hart has opened up to Grazia Magazine about committing to therapy after leaving the Love Island villa, and the forgiving nature of women in the villa.

The former BA flight attendant has also commented on certain Islanders in particular, namely Maura Higgins' "ever-changing" definition of girl code and the two sides of Curtis Pritchard.

The blonde beauty quit the show after Curtis ended their 720 hour romance, following his head turning in Casa Amor and his new romance with Maura Higgins.

Amy has been open about putting her mental health first, which has earned her fans from all over the world and celebrity support alike.

The former Islander also claims she "cannot fault" ITV for their improved after care, saying: “I’ve got 14 months of therapy guaranteed, but if I need it afterwards I can still have it.

"People have had a lot of bad things to say about them and they might have upped the aftercare, but it’s the same team who’ve worked on the show for five years. I don’t agree with the criticism – they are amazing.”

The suicides of former Love Island contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis has drawn criticism and increased scrutiny on ITV over the aftercare of the show.

The broadcaster recently announced a more intense duty of care process for participants on the show, including a minimum of eight therapy sessions.

According to Hart, all the contestants were briefed on the pressure of fame they would face when they exit the famous show, saying: “They told us, ‘You might be a star, but you might not’.

“‘Be aware you won’t be able to go back and work at Tesco afterwards because everyone will know who you are – your work life will change’. We were all very aware."

Amy later blocked the words 'fat' and 'ugly' from appearing on her social media feed, but doesn't regret leaving despite the trolls.

She said: “When you’re thinking rationally you’d think this was all so stupid but it’s such a pressurised environment in there.

“Before leaving I just sat there and thought, ‘There are 17 other people in this villa but I am so lonely’. I went to the Beach Hut and just sobbed.”

She's got job opportunities coming out of her ears now, at least, with Loose Women calling her up to be a permanent guest panellist;

Derry Girls’ Nicola Coughlan said that Richard Curtis, creator of Notting Hill, texted her saying, ‘I never believed in the saying it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, until I watched Amy leave Love Island’".

“The king of romantic comedy! I made him believe in love," she adds, saying that she hasn't been disheartened from finding love again. David Walliams even slid into her DMs, which is an achievement.

The forgiving nature of women has also been commented on by fans;

"‘Yes, 100% we shouldn’t have blamed ourselves. But I was willing to hear all of that and work on myself to make it work," she says. "I did feel humiliated."

A post shared by  (@amyhartxo) on

Her forgiveness of Curtis has moved on to unconcealed frustration, saying, "We’ve seen two different people in that villa, the Curtis that I knew and the Curtis now. I don’t know which one’s real, because they can’t both be."

Amy has wisely decided not to watch Love Island, but she's aware that Maura and Curtis got together just days after her exit. Maura, she says, definitively does not follow Girl Code;

"The thing with Maura is that she has an ever-changing definition of Girl Code. She constantly moves the goalposts to suit her situation. And then suddenly she decided we were never friends. And I will maintain this forever: we weren’t best friends but we did have a close friendship."

When asked if she's have happiness for Curtis if he wins the show, Amy replied;

"If I say no that will be the headline!" she says. "If he’s happy I’m happy. If he’s happy and they win that’s fine. No one will beat Tommy and Molly, though I really want Anna and Jordan to win."

Unfortunately, Anna and Jordan have been in the bottom three multiple times and now Jordan's head is getting turned by India, who is coupled up with Ovie. So that ship has most likely sailed…

Being financially independent is hard enough as it is, without the possibility of living in New York. Forget the student lifestyle of drinking all night and having a lie-in until midday. It takes hard work and financial discipline to survive the NYC life.

We all dream of it; the bottomless brunches near Central Park, shopping debt-free on 5th Avenue, living in an apartment that’s LITERALLY the exact same as Monica’s from Friends.

New York is heavily idealised as one of the greatest cities in the world, but it’s hard to deny how magical it can be. Ice-skating at Rockefeller centre at Christmas, essentially recreating Home Alone 2, hitting the iconic bars and gliding past skyscrapers and Broadway.

It permanently feels like you’re on a movie set, the city that never sleeps embodies movement and energetic culture. It’s impossible not to love it, but is it possible to afford it?

Insider recently rated New York eight on the list of the world’s most expensive cities to live in. It was the only American city to make the top ten, and once you break down the costs such as travel, food and rent, it’s not hard to see why it made the list.

We spoke to one of our New Yorker contacts who spent one year living the New York lifestyle to get the 411. You wanna see the receipts?

Rent

Rents have increased at double the rate of incomes in the last seven years alone, according to StreetEasy, which means that you need to make six figures to live in many of the city's most elite neighbourhoods. Yikes.

An average Irish student living in NYC could be paying amounts which range between $700 and $1500 a month on rent, as well as utilities. This would of course depend on location, size, how many housemates you share with and facilities like Wi-Fi and laundry.

A post shared by City of New York (@city_of_newyork) on

Our lucky wanderlust gal spent $900 on rent per month, a good deal seeing as it included utilities and the internet, as well as a washer and a dryer inside.

“I shared with three others, and only had one bathroom, and it was in a pretty dilapidated building in Bushwick with a not so helpful landlord.”

Secret deals in NYC in terms of rent are essentially non-existent. Most people agree that seeing a unicorn is probably more statistically likely. Or a Friends reunion.

One major extra cost comes in terms of furnishing an empty space, as most apartments in the city will come unfurnished.

Buying second-hand items can be a huge help, and finding things on the street, but both of these options of course have their limitations.

For example, I got my mattress in Berkeley from the street outside our fraternity house, which most people did, and got a very rude awakening when our entire room was visited by bed bugs.

If you think California rent is better than New York, you’ve got another thing coming.

Food and Drink

First thing’s first, you HAVE to limit eating out and going for expensive drinks in glamorous bars. Many New Yorkers are blasé about dropping $10 on coffee and a mediocre muffin.

A post shared by Joana  (@eatwiththeye) on

We’d all love that lifestyle, but you have to prioritise. Pre-packed lunches is the way to go, and cooking at home.

“A cocktail in a bar would set you back about $14, and in a trendy rooftop bar you could easily spend $20 on a drink. Eating in a restaurant could set you back about $35 for a meal if you included a drink, sales tax and tip."

"This is the worst thing about price of food and drinks in NYC! You think the price will be less, but a 20% service charge adds on a hefty chunk to your bill.”

A post shared by Angela (@hungryangela) on

NYC also has a city tax, so your paycheck won’t have much spending power. Supermarket food in New York is also highly expensive, so even if you want to cook from home, finding lower-cost ingredients can be tricky at best.

My J1 was essentially a three month binge on fries, $4 pizza slices and the occasional scrambled egg on toast if I could afford it. Eating healthily is even harder, considering fast food and ramen are the only semi-affordable meals.

A post shared by Trader Joe's (@traderjoes) on

“Places like Trader Joe's were good for lower cost own-brand items and for whole food/grain type things, but fruit and vegetables generally were always expensive. Meat and fish were also very pricey, there was definitely a good incentive to turn vegetarian.”

I’m personally astounded that I escaped contracting scurvy on my J1 to San Francisco, I barely saw fruit or vegetables the entire time. Spending under $10 on one meal became a challenge that was seen as the Mount Everest of nutritional budgeting.

Try starting an Excel spreadsheet for all of your expenses, so you can budget in advance. Prepare as many meals as you can to prevent buying expensive snacks in stores, and avoid buying too many perishable food items that you would throw away if it went uneaten.

Wasting perfectly good food will become a mortal sin to you after a few weeks of living the NYC life, trust us.

Nights Out

“If you pre-drink in advance, then you don't have to spend too much on a night-out. Liquor in shops is actually quite cheap. The subway runs all night so you can get around cheaply, and otherwise a shared Uber wouldn't be too expensive."

"Some clubs charge entry and then have expensive drinks. I don't smoke but cigarettes were also a massive cost.”

Keep the receipts from any bar you go to, and it will be come alarmingly obvious that purchasing drinks the entire night most definitely adds up.

A post shared by Excite Engage (@exciteengage) on

The Irish have perfected pre-drinking culture, so don’t let yourself slip too much on your night out by buying $16 cocktails every ten minutes, or you’ll be in for a rude awakening when you check your bank balance.

For a couple of free beers, one of Brooklyn’s best craft distilleries (New York Distilling Co.) opens its doors to the public for free tours and tastings on weekends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m, don’t miss your chance.

Travel

“This was one of the most expensive aspects of living in New York. Flights in and out of the city were always pricey. There is no Ryanair equivalent of budget flights unfortunately."

The Amtrak train service is notoriously expensive. Without advance booking (and even then), it can be $100 for a measly two hour journey… good God.

Buses are the cheapest option for the city, but the reliability and quality leave a lot to be desired, as you might imagine. The buses are often incredibly late, over-booked or cancelled.

The public transport system (MTA) costs you $121 per month for unlimited use, which isn’t bad compared to Dublin, and can be used on buses and subways. However, any of the longer commuter trains are much more expensive

If you’re thinking of parking in the city, be warned that the cost of this is extortionate, as are the prices for renting a car in NYC.

A post shared by Neil Churcher (@neildchurcher) on

People would often go to neighbouring states of New Jersey or Connecticut to get cars, rather than face the pain of using their hard-earned cash on New York prices.

Activities

Hidden costs and fees are what make so much of New York that bit more expensive than Europe and other places.

Laundromats charge extremely high prices purely because many apartments in the city don’t have laundry facilities, so they take full advantage of this. Hand-washing some of your clothes can aid this process.

When it comes to activities, there are ways of finding cheaper alternatives. The amazing city has a vast array of things to do; the buzz and excitement of the place is captivating.

The tourism industry in NYC is always booming, so charging huge fees for activities such as the Empire State Building, Rockefeller entre, boat rides in Central Park and more can be expensive beyond belief.

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s fee is waived on Tuesdays, which means you have the ideal escape for the hustle and bustle of Manhattan life.

Finding activities for free is hugely common in parks, try bringing a picnic to Central Park, embarking on a free yoga session in Bryant Park or grabbing street food (the hot dogs are mouth-watering) and chilling on the lush grass.

Central Park Conservatory offers free tours as well.

The Federal Bank of New York’s Gold Vault has free tours every afternoon. Built in the 1920s and containing over 6,500 tonnes of gold, this little-known treasure can teach you some fascinating financial secrets of the city.

Try stargazing on the High Line, a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side.

Neighbourhood residents saved the location from demolition, and the High Line opened in 2009 as a hybrid space where visitors can experience nature, art, and design for free.

Watch outdoor movies at HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival and Syfy Movies with a View at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Grab a seat and bring some snacks, it’s one of the best free activities New York has to offer. Soak up the skyline, it’s one of a kind.

Grand Central Terminal is also a tourist favourite, the 102-year-old train station is still in massive use but it embodies NYC grandeur. The outdoor part of the 9/11 memorial is also free to visit.

Life today is all about social media. People are constantly on the prowl for stunning picture opportunities. They love to share their lives, their special moments and yes, their food and drink experiences with the world. Instagram is simply filled with food and drink images taken in restaurants, cafes, pubs and even on the street.

So it comes as no surprise that the appearance of food and drinks has become almost as important as their taste. Social marketing is a huge trend in restaurants, cafes and pubs. They try their best to encourage customers to post their dishes and beverages to social media, and adjust them accordingly.

Millennials, also known as generation Y, are a major force in this new, appearance driven dining culture. Currently in their 20s and 30s, they dedicate a huge share of their income to food and beverage purchases and are projected to be the biggest spenders in the market over the next ten years.

Millennials are avid social media users. More than 90% of Millennials in the US own a smartphone and more than 80% have a social media account. They have been using social media for over a decade. That’s why it takes a lot to impress them. Images shared on social media need to be unique, eye-catching and entertaining. This is where the latest trend in the restaurants and cafe world enters – Ripples by DrinkRipples.com.

Ripples use natural extracts to print almost any imaginable image or message on coffee, beer, cocktails and any other foam-based drink. You can even get your selfie printed on your coffee. Millennials especially love this new trend and go to social media to show their enthusiasm. Pinterest and Instagram are filled with images of people drinking coffee Ripples, and cups of coffee with a selfie printed on them.

Every second of every day, more than 26,000 cups of coffee are consumed around the world. The use of the Ripples coffee printer adds a little something extra to the experience of the avid coffee drinker, in the form of a cool picture, funny message, or even a personalized selfie. Businesses are using Ripples to delight their customers and create a unique, imaginative, and memorable customer experience, helping them to get the exposure they need on social media. The customers are happy to post to social media, as they love the innovation and novelty of this new technology. Everybody wins and has fun in the process.

This trend has reached the shores of Ireland and you can find Coffee Ripples in many locations around the country. If beer is more your thing you’ll be happy to know that Guinness and Ripples created the Stoutie – a Guinness pint with a selfie printed on it. It can be found in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin.

It's been a long time coming, but Marvel have finally unleashed the second phase of the MCU and it's diverse AS F*CK. We're in heaven.

One of the best snippets of superhero news we've heard from Comic Con (apart from Natalie Portman as female Thor, that slayed us) is the first openly LGBTQ+ hero arriving to the party.

Fan-fave character Valkyrie, played by the incredible Tessa Thompson, will have an LGBTQ+ storyline in the fourth Thor movie, due out November 2021.

The character is bisexual in the comics, and was portrayed by the actress in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.

Thor: Love and Thunder will feature Chris Hemsworth as the titular character, Natalie Portman slaying as his female equal and now Tessa as Valkyrie. Wow.

Appearing at Marvel Studios' Comic-Con panel in Hall H over the weekend, Thompson announced to the audience:

"As new king, she needs to find her queen. So that will be the first order of business. She has some ideas. I'll keep you posted."

When asked whether Valkyrie will have an LGBTQ+ storyline, MCU boss Kevin Feige told io9: "The answer is yes.

"How that impacts the story remains to be seen with that level of representation you’ll see across our films, not in just Thor 4."

Feige added to Collider that Marvel fans will also be treated to an LGBTQ+ character in The Eternals as well: Long may it reign.

Marvel has come under fire for its lack of LGBTQ+ representation in recent years, with Feige promising work on developing this hole in the franchise:

"We have both ones you've seen and ones you haven't seen," he said.

A deaf woman-of-colour, Lauren Ridloff, was also cast in The Eternals, alongside Richard Madden and Angelina Jolie.

The next Captain America (Falcon) is now a black man, a woman will play Thor, Mahershala Ali is starring in the Blade reboot and an Asian-Canadian newcomer Simu Liu snagged his role as Shang-Chi by literally annoying Marvel on Twitter.

Black Panther 2 is also in the works, and hilarious actress/comedian Awkwafina will join Simu Liu in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Much diversity, many feels. Thank Goddess they came to their senses and decided to include people, now we need women and people of colour, as well as people with disabilities in the writing room and director's seats.

Many fans are pointing out that the billion-dollar company waited until it was convenient and profitable for them to bring diversity to the table, but we just have to be grateful they finally stepped up.

Avengers: Endgame has just become the best-selling movie of all time, beating out Avatar in the box office.

Scenes for the BBC Three adaptation of Irish novelist Sally Rooney's hit novel Normal People have begun filming at Trinity College Dublin.

Despite the lines of tourists queueing to visit the iconic Book of Kells (when is there not a line?), several cast and crew members were seen roaming around the famous college campus yesterday, according to the Irish Independent.

The award-winning. book was adapted for the screen by Rooney herself, with veteran director Lenny Abrahamson behind the camera.

The Oscar-nominated director behind films like Room, Frank and What Richard Did completed a Masters in theoretical physics at Trinity back in 1987, so he's familiar with the setting,

He's set to direct six episodes of the 12-part series, before Hettie McDonald takes over for the remaining six.

Filming has mainly taken place in the Robert Emmett Theatre in the Arts Block, with scenes between the protagonists, Marianne and Connell, taking place in lecture theatres.

21-year-old Cold Feet star Daisy Edgar-Jones has scored the lead role of Marianne, while 23-year-old Paul Mescal will take on the role of Connell.

The Lír Academy graduate previously garnered rave reviews for his part as Jay Gatsby in The Gate Theatre's production of The Great Gatsby, so he should be well able to handle Connell.

The series follows the characters, who move from the West of Ireland to Dublin in order to attend college, but the pair strike up an unlikely relationship.

At secondary school, Connell is the popular guy while Marianne is an isolated outsider among her peers. Despite this, they're drawn together.

Roles are completely reversed when they start college years later, with Marianne fitting in straight away with the debating crew but Connell finds himself on the outskirts.

Abrahamson has spoken out about how excited to work with the pair, saying:

"I feel I have found two young actors who vividly capture Marianne and Connell and bring alive the profound and beautiful relationship at the centre of the story."

The cast are heading to Italy in August or September after filming in Trinity is completed, before returning to Dublin to finish the shoot.

Filming also took place in County Sligo earlier in the year.

Further scenes will be shot in Trinity today and on Monday in the front square, library and on the cricket pitches. See if you can spot the cast if you're wandering around town.

For the most part, the writing was beyond ridiculous, and fans were so frustrated that some of them even began a petition to remake the final season.

Some of the cast-members showed up to a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, and addressed the furious fan reaction to the series finale, which…bombed.

It's only been two months since the HBO hit show ended, but the wounds haven't quite healed yet, it would seem. We're trying to desperately forget that the season ever even happened.

The cast got back together on Friday to talk all things GOT, and referenced the Change.org petition to 'Remake Game of Thrones Season eight with competent writers' that got 1.6 million signatures.

Nikolaj CosterWaldau (Jaime Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), Conleth Hill (Varys), and Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos) showed up to the panel.

They got candid about the hugely negative reaction to the final season, with Nikolaj mainly addressing the "level of absurdity of the online petition";

"Every season, we had huge controversies. From Ned Stark being killed, ‘I’m never going to watch that piece of shit show again!’ And then there was the Red Wedding. And obviously, the end," he continued.

"I feel so lucky to have met so may fans of the show, and to realise this show has brought so many people together. Watching it, loving it. So obviously, It comes to an end, it’s going to piss you off no matter what."

The Danish actor, who portrayed Jaime Lannister, added;

 "It’s the end! But at the end of the day, it’s absolutely fine. If you hated the ending if you loved it, that’s great. Just don’t call people names."

Conleth (the Master of Whisperers) joined in, saying;

"You look at the amount of people who are here. We are here to thank you for watching us all those years. This is the reality rather than a media-led hate campaign."

When Nikolaj was queried on his death scene, he said; “I thought it was perfect for him to end in the arms of Cersei."

Variety reported that some fans in the audience disagreed, and even booed the actor. “It made sense to me – that’s just my opinion," he said.

His co-star Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) previously said she was “gutted” about how her character died under the pile of bricks, and even revealed further disappointment over a crucial Cersei scene being edited out of the show.

Love Island's Francesca Allen has given us an inside look into the reunion of Joanna Chimonides and Michael Griffiths following their Aftersun appearance, and it's spicy enough,

A video emerged of the pair getting cosy in the green room, despite the awkwardness between the former couple and Caroline Flack.

Francesca was obviously asked whether they're getting back together, because everyone thinks that they will, and she said;

"Possibly, they seem to be getting along fine. I wasn't there for too long after because I was shattered."

She added; "They were speaking, everyone was being civil and nice. So we'll see what happens!"

Well, that's dull. We wanted WWE drama for Michael's sins.

Francesca also tried to defend Michael, who she was coupled up with as friends at the end of her time in the villa, saying:

"Michael's great, he's just made a few mistakes I think. He's actually a really good person. I got along with him really well."

Michael recoupled with Joanna following Casa Amor, as I'm sure we all remember, and left Amber to walk alone into the villa.

The gaslighting firefighter then insisted that he had no interest in Amber anymore. He pied her TWICE in an embarrassing fashion, treating her like dirt in the process.

Joanna was raging after she was dumped from the island alone, without Michael leaving with her.

The model branded him a 'snake', with most of us agreeing that the term was well deserved.

Michael then tried to crack on with Amber again after Irish charmer Greg brought her on a date, with Michael lying at every turn about his feelings.

Will Joanna give him another chance? She'd be some fool to let him slither his way back in, but we suspect she will.
