Lena Dunham on the cover of Vogue

Lena is the latest star to grace the much sought after front cover of Anna Wintour’s powerhouse, Vogue.

The cover features the quirky Girls star with a full face of make-up, which is very un-Hanna of her, but we’re sure even Hanna would dress up for Vogue!

Lena has been dressed in a red and white polka dot shirt buttoned to the top, which really suits her.

The talented young writer and director has been seen numerous times with Anna Wintour at events, so her cover might not come as much of a surprise to some.

Since Lena isn’t stick-thin and the pretty shot is from her shoulders up, critics will no doubt be out in full force just as they were over the recent Elle cover controversy with Mindy Kaling.

Lena doesn’t strike us as someone who would do something she wasn’t happy with, so let’s just enjoy it.
