Circle K announces new ‘When you Fill, Support Jack and Jill’ fundraising initiative

Circle K, Ireland’s largest forecourt and convenience retailer, has today announced that a new ‘When you Fill, Support Jack and Jill’ fundraising initiative will run throughout the June Bank Holiday weekend at participating sites nationwide, including Circle K Express sites.

From Friday 2nd to Monday 5th June 2023 inclusive, 1c from every litre of miles fuel purchased at participating Circle K sites nationwide will automatically be donated to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is an Irish children’s charity that funds and delivers vital in-home nursing, respite support, and end-of-life care for children from birth to six years of age who have highly complex and life-limiting medical conditions. There are currently over 400 children under the care of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation right across the country and the charity’s mission is to empower parents to care for their child at home, because there is no care like home care for a Jack and Jill child.

Commenting on the initiative, Gillian McGowran, Director of Market Development at Circle K Ireland said: “We are delighted to announce a new fundraising initiative for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, ‘When you Fill, Support Jack and Jill’, that will see 1c from every litre of fuel purchased over the June Bank Holiday weekend donated to Jack and Jill. The June Bank Holiday is one of the busiest weekends on Irish roads and at our fuel pumps, making it a great opportunity to raise funds for such an important cause. The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation and its nursing team provide invaluable support to families in communities across Ireland and just by choosing to refuel at one of our participating sites this weekend, our customers can easily donate to the charity’’.

Circle K ambassador, soccer star and broadcaster Stephanie Roche is once again lending her support to this Jack and Jill initiative. Stephanie concluded: “I am thrilled to continue supporting Circle K and the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation’s fundraising efforts this year. It’s brilliant that Circle K has made it so easy for the public to donate to such an important cause, and from 2nd-5th June, just by choosing to fill at a participating Circle K, you will be supporting Jack and Jill, as 1c from every litre of miles fuel purchased will be donated to the charity. I will be paying a visit to my local Circle K over the June Bank Holiday weekend to fuel up and support.”
