Coca-Cola kicks-off its Coke Studio Summer of Music, unveiling epic line up for Longitude
Coca-Cola promises fans an unforgettable summer of music for 2023 as it unveils its latest line up of immersive music experiences across Ireland and beyond, via music platform COKE STUDIO™. From new tracks and incredible artist ‘collisions’, to first-rate COKE STUDIO live music moments at some of the country's biggest festivals, Coca-Cola is bringing 'real magic’ to the summer of 2023.
COKE STUDIO not only infuses festivals with major good vibes but also presents a phenomenal line-up of talented Irish musicians. Brace yourself, as COKE STUDIO is about to electrify two of Ireland's most dynamic festivals this summer, Longitude and Electric Picnic, featuring a roster of talented Irish favourites and new breakthrough artists who will deliver amazing performances. This year, the COKE STUDIO VIP area will be giving festival goers the chance to gain access to the VIP viewing platform, with unbelievable views of each festival.
Coca-Cola has also teamed up with GAY TIMES to create ‘Breakthrough’ with COKE STUDIO – an ongoing campaign that gives unsigned LGBTQ+ musicians the opportunity to gain the recognition and wider support they deserve across Ireland and the UK. The four ‘Breakthrough’ COKE STUDIO artists include:
Celaviedmai (aka Mai or Cela) a Galway, Irish born artist who has become one of the most exciting names in the Irish hip-hop and rap scene. Celebrated for defying genres, she combines English, French and Irish in her lyrics, while paying homage to her Ivorian roots.
Keanan an up-and-coming LGBTQ+ singer, songwriter and rapper who has already been recognised as ‘BBC Radio 1Xtra STEP UP Artist’ and ‘GAY TIMES Artist To Watch 2023’.
Lleo who's work aims to open the conversation around mental health by sharing their experience as someone living with bipolar.
Callum Crighton a London-based DJ and queer music artist who has already modelled and entertained crowds around the globe.
Coca-Cola will create a long-term collaboration with each selected act to ensure genuine impact for the talent involved in the campaign. This long-term partnership will be critical in supporting independent musicians to build sustainable careers and achieve lasting success. In the coming months all four will be enjoying valuable paid festival and Pride experiences across Ireland and the UK.
COKE STUDIO Longitude Line Up:
Creative collisions aren’t confined to just music. This year, Coca-Cola is partnering with DesignOpp, a platform focused on championing diversity in Irish Design, to help bring a local creative flare to the COKE STUDIO area design. Three chosen artists will have their Coca-Cola Contour Bottle designs showcased at COKE STUDIO at Longitude and Electric Picnic. Author, illustrator and motivational speaker, Ashwin Chacko is the chosen artist to have his designs showcased at Longitude. Both Grace Enemaku, an award-winning, Nigerian-Irish, multidisciplinary designer, illustrator and co-founder of DesignOpp and Gabriela Joyce, an artist and graphic designer, based in Dublin will have their designs featured at COKE STUDIO at Electric Picnic.
Coca-Cola believes every package has value and life beyond its initial use and that it should be collected and recycled into a new package. While complimentary samples of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will be offered to festival goers at Longitude and Electric Picnic, recycling continues to be at the forefront of COKE STUDIO with two large scale recycling units where festival goers can dispose of their cans, with proceeds from recycling collections going to the Irish Youth Foundation. The Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine will give the Longitude crowd the freedom to explore, pour, and enjoy their perfect drinks at COKE STUDIO™. Reusable cups can be purchased for €14 and free refills will be given every 30 mins. Not only that, but COKE STUDIO will also display its very first reverse vending machine, where people can learn about redeeming money-back deposits when recycling plastic cans and bottles, which will come into play early next year across Ireland.
Boundless creativity and unparalleled new music from the COKE STUDIO platform are also matched with ‘real world’ music experiences and access to some of the most popular festivals in Ireland, Europe and beyond this summer. This means fans can get even closer to great live music and content. COKE STUDIO has teamed up with the most exciting festivals including Longitude, Electric Picnic, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, and Coachella 2024 to give away unforgettable music experiences and merchandise. By simply scanning the QR code on promotional cans of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and downloading the Coke App, festival-goers will be in with a chance to win. There is also a chance to win tickets to Longitude and Electric Picnic through COKE STUDIO ambassadors James Kavanagh, Charleen Murphy and India Sasha's on their Instagram channels over the coming weeks!
