Clarins and Mary’s Meals collab to fight hunger & boost education worldwide
Clarins, much-loved French skincare and cosmetics brand, has partnered with Mary’s Meals, a global charity dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children in impoverished communities while they attend school. This collaboration is an inspiring example of how a successful brand can leverage its influence to support meaningful causes and make a tangible difference in the world.
About Mary’s Meals
Mary’s Meals was founded in 2002 with a simple yet powerful vision: that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education. This initiative addresses both hunger and access to education, as the promise of a meal encourages attendance at school, helping to break the cycle of poverty. Today, Mary’s Meals feeds over two million children in 20 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean. The charity operates on a principle of local ownership and sustainability, often working with community volunteers to prepare and serve meals using locally sourced ingredients.
The Partnership
The partnership between Clarins and Mary’s Meals exemplifies a shared commitment to improving children’s lives through education and nutrition. Clarins, known for its dedication to social responsibility and philanthropy, supports Mary’s Meals through various initiatives designed to raise awareness and funds for the charity’s programmes.
One of the key aspects of this partnership is the integration of Mary’s Meals into Clarins customer engagement strategy. Clarins has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from specific products to support Mary’s Meals. Additionally, the brand promotes the charity’s mission and activities through its marketing channels, encouraging customers to learn about and contribute to the cause. This approach not only provides financial support to Mary’s Meals but also increases visibility and awareness, potentially attracting new donors and volunteers.
Impact and Benefits
The collaboration between Clarins and Mary’s Meals has significant benefits for both organisations and, more importantly, for the children they aim to help. For Mary’s Meals, the financial contributions from Clarins are crucial in expanding their reach and sustaining their programmes. The funds raised through Clarins campaign contribute to feeding more children, thereby supporting their education and overall well-being. In concrete terms, when a customer purchases two or more Clarins beauty buys at Brown Thomas or Arnotts, the customer will receive a fundraising beauty pouch and Clarins will fund 10 Mary’s Meals school meals.
For Clarins, this partnership enhances the brand’s reputation as a socially responsible company. Customers today are increasingly concerned about the ethical practices of the brands they support and Clarins involvement with Mary’s Meals demonstrates a commitment to making a positive difference. This can strengthen customer loyalty and attract new clients who value philanthropy and social responsibility.
Engaging the Community
Beyond financial contributions, Clarins encourages its employees and customers to engage with Mary’s Meals on a deeper level. The brand organises events and campaigns that highlight the charity’s work, often involving the community in fundraising and awareness activities. These efforts foster a sense of global community and shared purpose, reinforcing the idea that everyone can play a role in addressing hunger and education.
The partnership between Clarins and Mary’s Meals is a powerful example of how businesses and charities can work together to achieve common goals. By leveraging its resources and influence, Clarins supports Mary’s Meals in its mission to provide daily meals to children in need, helping to improve their health, education and future prospects. This collaboration not only benefits the children who receive the meals but also enhances Clarins brand image and customer engagement. It’s a testament to the impact that can be achieved when companies and charities unite for a noble cause. Through this partnership, Clarins and Mary’s Meals are making a lasting difference in the lives of children around the world, demonstrating the power of collective action and compassion.
