Dublin Zoo announces theme for this year’s Wild Lights event

Wild Lights is back!

This year, Dublin Zoo will once again be hosting their award-winning night-time event, Wild Lights.

Ahead of its launch later this month, the beloved zoo has confirmed that this year’s theme for Wild Lights will be ‘A Journey Through Time’.

At every Wild Lights night, there’s something for all ages, from the youngest dinosaur experts to older history buffs! Visitors will travel billions of years back in time, all the way to the big bang. From there, you will have the chance to roam among dinosaurs before witnessing the age of humans, the rise of ancient civilisations, and right through to modern times.

Visitors can travel across time as they discover the history of our planet through the ages. There’s everything from pre-historic megafauna to life-changing first inventions, and even beautiful works of art from the Renaissance, all brought to life in bright and eye-catching lanterns!

Speaking about the return of Wild Lights, the Director of Dublin Zoo, Dr Christoph Schwitzer, exclaimed: “Each year, we are excited to announce our new Wild Lights experience, and we believe our visitors are in for the most unforgettable journey yet.

Dr Schwitzer added: “We can’t wait to welcome visitors to experience a memorable evening with family and friends over the coming months!”

Wild Lights will open to the public from 6pm – 10pm on October 24 until October 28, as well as October 31 to November 3. Then, it will run from 5pm – 9pm every day from November 4 to January 5 (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day).

To celebrate the return of Wild Lights, Dublin Zoo is now offering a limited time discount of 50% off tickets for its opening weekend (Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27), as well as a 30% discount offer for the following weekend Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3).

All tickets must be pre-booked online. Admission to Wild Lights will range from €24.50 to €25.50 for adults and from €20 to €21 for children. To find out more information and to book your tickets, you can visit the Dublin Zoo official website here.
