Skincare Guide for Working Women

Skincare has evolved to be a health concern and not just a beauty regime as the cautiousness of people is increasing. It has become a necessity to protect the body against diseases and infections, more so for working women as they get more exposed to pollutants.

Spending long hours before the screen can have serious implications on the screen. Therefore, it is important to be extra careful with your skin as a working woman.

I am enumerating a basic five-step routine that you can easily follow every day for healthy skin.

1.Cleaning

You must have heard about the importance of cleaning your face regularly on 1000 events and probably ignored it every time. However basic as it may sound, it is one of the most crucial steps to maintaining healthy skin.

leaning removes the dirt and dust from your skin which prevents a host of skin problems. Cleaning your face should be the first thing you do in the morning. During the night, our body sheds skin and releases oils as part of the repair.

Cleaning your face with a face wash removes the dead skin and sticky sebum which if left untreated can lead to clogged pores and blackheads.

Ideally, you should wash your face twice daily. The first time in the morning and the second time at night before sleeping. However, if you move out frequently, you can do it more than twice.

2.Toning

The next step is toning which is often considered unimportant by some. However, experts suggest that toning is very crucial to prepare the skin for the next step that is moisturizing. It maintains the pH level of the skin and creates a relaxing effect.

Rose water is a natural toner that you can use daily

It tightens the skin, minimizes the appearance of pores, balances sebum, and naturally removes oil and dirt. It does so by refining large pores which make the skin appear very smooth. You can apply toner by taking a small amount on a cotton pad and gently dabbing it on the skin.

Alternatively, you can directly spay the toner on your face. Just be careful to not use strong nozzles or you may hurt your skin.

3.Apply Serum

The next step is to apply the serum to your face. The serum is a thin viscous liquid that contains active ingredients. It hydrates the skin and produces a calming effect. It helps shrink big pores thereby preventing blackheads and pimples.

Applying serum can give you an instant glow

It also fastens the cell production that makes the skin look fresh and shiny. Promotion of new cells also solves the problem of pesky skin blemishes and spots like acne scars, red spots, pigmentation and dark circles.

Experts suggest different types of serum depending on your routine. For morning, it is best to use serums with antioxidants and for nighttime, a moisturizing serum with hyaluronic acid would do good. It moisturizes the skin and keeps it from drying out at night.

4.Moisturizing

This is the final and one very important step of the CTM routine. moisturizing puts a final seal on the skin to protect all the other products that you have applied. It reduces the chance of developing extreme dryness or oiliness. Both extremes are harmful to the skin. It hydrates the skin and makes it soft.

Moisturizing plays a key role in keeping the skin young and healthy. The skin of our face sheds more frequently as compared to the other parts of the body. Moisturizers give your skin the boost that it needs to repair itself.

A moisturizer hydrates the skin and makes it soft

For moisturizers to work best on your skin, you have to choose the one that suits your skin type. For instance, if you have oily skin, never use cream based moisturizers. Instead, use gel-based creams since they are light.

After applying moisturizers, massage lightly under the eyes with an eye cream. The reason for using a different creme for under eye is that it is very sensitive and comparatively more prone to pigmentation. You can choose from the best Korean eye cream for better results.

5.Sun Protection

Last but not the least, invest in good sunscreens. Sunscreen does a lot more than just prevent your skin from tanning. It guards you against the harmful ultraviolet traditions that can cause skin cancer. Always wear it before stepping out of the house, even on a cloudy day. This is because our skin is susceptible to the sun’s rays even on an overcast day which can lead to skin discolouration and wrinkles.

Again, it is very important to choose the right kind of sunscreen as per your skin type. There are two categories of sunscreen to choose from. Sunscreen with chemical ingredients and sunscreen with physical ingredients.

Experts suggest that you should apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before going out

While chemical-based sunscreen gets absorbed in the skin, physical-ingredient sunscreens create a protective layer on it. Physical ingredient creams are safer to use, especially for sensitive skin but may leave a whitish tint on dark skin tone

Takeaway

As discussed earlier a skincare routine is more than just working for a pretty face. The skin is the longest organ of the human body and hence it must be given due care and attention especially of the face since that is the first thing people will notice about you.
