One former radio DJ has filed a lawsuit against Taylor Swift
In the latest news involving pop super star Taylor Swift, a law suit has been filed against the Bad Blood singer by a former radio DJ.
David Mueller has filed the suit because he was fired after being accused of groping the singer.
A former radio DJ from KYGO in Denver, known as ‘Jackson’, filed the lawsuit on Thursday. He states that he was accused to lifting her “Skirt with his hands and [grabbing] her bottom. The incident is reported to have taken place in June, 2013.
According the Associated Press, this happened while they were backstage during Taylor’s concert at the Pepsi Center in Denver. He is denying that he has ever touched the singer inappropriately.
CNN has reported that David was participating in a work-related meet-and-greet with Taylor while she was making appearances in Denver. His co-worker and girlfriend Shannon Melcher was also at the event.
The couple appeared in a picture with the singer, which according to his lawsuit disputes any claims that he groped her. Apparently the photograph, which is not available to the public shows Shannon and Taylor hugging one another.
In the lawsuit it states:
“Ms. Swift is smiling and hugging Ms. Melcher. Although Mr. Mueller’s hand is behind Ms. Swift and therefore not visible, it is clear that her skirt is in place and is not being lifted by Mr Mueller’s hand.”
The former DJ is seeking damages to cover his lost income following his dismissal from his job at the radio station which amounts to €130,000 a year.
