A sober Steve-O is heads to jail with no regrets: ‘I didn’t lost my edge’
Jackass star Steve-O is headed for jail, and he doesn’t seem to mind one bit.
In August the TV star protested SeaWorld with a very dangerous stunt and he has revealed on Instagram that he has been sentenced to 30 days in LA County Jail as a result.
He also protested the organisation back in August 2014 and in his post today revealed some pretty candid thoughts on his punishment.
He also announced today (in the same post) that he is launching a campaign for “at-rish, inner city youth”.
"Considering I've become a clean and sober, dog-rescuing vegan, I must say I'm ready to go to jail– not just because it will bring so much attention to the plight of orcas in captivity, but because it's nice to let people know I haven't lost my edge," he wrote.
The actor has been sober since 2008 added: “What can I say, I’m a jackass.”
Just three months ago, Steve-O climbed a crane standing over 100 feet above a street in Hollywood. He held an inflatable whale and a sign protesting the controversial animal theme park.
He posted many videos of the stunt on his Facebook page after teasing his "big dangerous stunt" on Instagram.
He regrets nothing.
"My whole crane-climbing, fireworks debacle really turned out to be pretty meaningful in the end, too.
I mean, if your goal is to make a statement about captivity, you may as well get yourself locked up!" he continued before sharing his new campaign.”
He finished his post by sharing a message of love with the city of LA. As one does.
