A Wicklow brewery just launched a 1916 beer and it sounds DELISH

Thousands and thousands of Irish people around the globe are marking the 1916 rising centenary in their own special way – but this Wicklow brewery decided to get creative.

Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company has just released their latest in its IPA series – Children of the Revolution.

Children of the Revolution is brewed with cascade, simcoe, columbus and amarillo hops that combine to give the IPA a citrus flavour with grapefruit, pine and passion fruit tones.

Speaking about the release, Simon Lynch, co-founder of the Irish brewery told The Mirror:  “We wanted to mark, in our own way, the bravery and vision of our country men and women who made possible the Ireland we live in today.

“Not only has Ireland seen significant cultural change in the form of religious tolerance, civil liberties and marriage equality but Ireland has also left a huge imprint on the world through its people, music and the arts.

"All of which came about as a result of those words read out on the steps of the GPO in 1916.”

You can nab this special brew in Molloy's, O'Brein's and other off-licenses around the country for €3.95.
