Actress addresses latest scandal in rare social media post

Earlier this week, we reported that Jennifer Lawrence had taken on the role of diva on the set of her latest movie, Joy, with sources claiming that she was seen having the mother of all rows with her director, David O. Russell.

While we know Jen to be the ultimate pro, eye witnesses left us wondering whether something serious had gone down between her and the Silver Linings Playbook director.

However, in an extremely rare move last night, the star took to her official Facebook page to address the news and blast the media for reporting on an apparently false story.

 

“Hey guys! It’s Jen! I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumour going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up,” she began.

“David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!” she added.

While sources had initially claimed that Jennifer was seen screaming at Russell during an apparent strop, a representative for studio Fox 2000 said that the star’s behaviour was all part of method acting for the scene being shot.

Well, we’re glad that’s all cleared up!
