Actress says her ex Brad Pitt was ‘too good for her’

It may not be common knowledge that Gwyneth Paltrow dated Brad Pitt, and perhaps even lesser known that they were actually ENGAGED! Yes, Gwyneth very nearly could have been Jennifer Aniston.

The couple dated for three years, ending their engagement in 1997 and now Gwyneth has opened up about her ex, claiming he was ‘too good for her’. In the interview with Howard Stern, Gwyneth explains how her beloved father, who has since passed away, was devastated about the break-up.

Gwyneth explains that she was so young when they broke up that she didn’t really realise what she was doing: “I was such a kid. It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years-old…I wasn’t ready. He was too good for me … I didn’t know what I was doing.”

And what about Jennifer Lawrence hooking up with her estranged husband, Chris Martin? Well, she approves it would seem! When Howard says she doesn't approve of the actress dating the father of her two children, Gwyneth exclaims: "Who says I don't approve?!" before going on to say that Chris would never be with anyone who wasn't great. D'aww!
