Another big name is saying goodbye to The X Factor family

The X Factor is undergoing a serious shake-up ahead of the new series, and now yet another star revealed they were leaving the show.

Presenter Sarah Jane Crawford has announced she will be stepping down as host of The Xtra Factor, the sister show which airs live after every episode of The X Factor. The radio and TV personality only took over Xtra Factor hosting duties last year, but she is ready to pass the crown over to someone else.

Tweeting the big news last night, Sarah-Jane wrote, "Xtra factor has been amazing! However I have a new project coming up this summer & with all the changes happening I won't be back… I'm so excited to see the new line up and wanna wish them all the luck in the world… Can't wait to watch them in action!"

Although no official replacement has been announced as yet, many have predicted that Irish presenter Laura Whitmore might be in the running.

Laura was a favourite for the role last time around too, and with another year of hosting I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now under her belt, we reckon she would be the perfect candidate.

Sarah-Jane joins Dermot O'Leary, Mel B and Louis Walsh on the list of names that won't be appearing on the show this autumn, although Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell still seem to be safe.

Olly Murs and Caroline Flack have already signed on as Dermot's replacement, and looked delighted with themselves as they kicked off their new roles as co-hosts at the first round of X Factor auditions in Manchester last weekend:

We miss Dermot all the same…
