Anyone else have FOMO? 5 reasons we wish we were in Vegas tonight
As Conor McGregor prepares to take on his opponent Chad Mendes tonight, our news feeds are filled with pictures and videos from friends who are there and we know by the time tonight comes, that's about to get a whole lot worse.
It didn't really hit us until right now how much we really really wish we were in Las Vegas to watch the fight (well to be in the vicinity while it's happening) and to soak up the atmosphere.
We may not even stay up to watch the fight, but still we just became McGregor's biggest fans and want to be over there, like now.
Here are some of the main reasons we are sickened we're in Dublin and not Vegas this weekend:
1. The fight
Ok maybe not so much the actual fight, more so the ability to say 'yea shur I was there' to anyone that ever brings up the fight again ever.
2. The Atmosphere
With so many Irish people over there, the atmosphere will undoubtedly be insane. Every Irish person you meet over there would be your best friend within five minutes as we all come together through our 'love' of mixed martial arts.
3. The weather
Imagine spending the day before getting ready to go watch the fight topping up your tan? This is actually not fair…
4. The drinks
You would surely wake up with the mother of all hangovers tomorrow but it would definitely be worth it. Win, lose or draw, there's bound to be a massive Irish session in the MGM grand hotel tonight.
5. The shopping
While your over there for the fight you might as well make a holiday out of it eh? What better way to kill the hangover and the post-fight blues than heading to the shops and we would definitely do a lot of damage, actually maybe it's better for our bank balances that were stuck at home.
