Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom are sending the internet into turmoil again as the pair appear to have been spending more time together for the actor's birthday. 

The couple reportedly had a fling back in 2014 and Orlando even got into a bit of a scrap with Justin Bieber over Selena in an altercation caught on camera by fans.

Even though a relationship has never been confirmed, it seems that the duo have managed to remain close friends. 

The Good For You singer attended Orlando's 39th birthday party and the pair were caught looking very cute in a snap published by the actor's manager. 

Selena stuns in a slinky back dress as the couple look very cosy together. 

And the 23-year-old singer even has a cutesy nickname for the Lord of the Rings actor.

In her own Instagram post, Selena wishes the actor a happy birthday with a photo captioned: "Happy birthday Orly- celebrate kindness and who you are."

Orly? It definitely seems that the pair are close. 

Even though the gorgeous couple have been caught together on multiple occasions, sources have consistently speculated that the pair are just friends. 

The news comes just days after Orlando was spotted looking pretty cosy with Katy Perry at a Golden Globes after party.
