Bargain-hunters take note

There’s rarely such a thing as a free lunch, but here at SHEmazing! we always have our eyes peeled for a serious bargain. And while fancy-pants events are usually the preserve of celebrities and well-connected types, it seems that occasionally the rest of us can sign up for a spot of complimentary pampering too. Hurrah!

This Saturday on South King Street in Dublin, and in the Victoria Square store in Belfast, Warehouse is launching its occasion wear collection… and we’re all invited from 12-6pm. It’s being billed as an “urban garden party” and by all accounts the clothing on offer is quite lovely – we're in particular coveting a culotte cape back jumpsuit, (€90) and the split striped maxi skirt (€55).

However, (being honest) we’re rather intrigued by the freebies too: fresh juices, yummy snacks, expert hair advice from the good folk at Toni & Guy, and DJ Vogue Williams on the decks if you’re in Dublin. If you fancy registering for one of the events before midnight tomorrow, you’ll also nab VIP invites complete with discounts and a bespoke goodie bag (woo hoo).

The stores will be transformed with funky foliage and potted plants – which customers spending €90 or more can claim as a gift – as well as illustrations by painfully-cool London artist Lo Parkin (though, sadly, they’re not for taking home).

Celebrity fans of Warehouse include Mollie King of The Saturdays, and (swoon!) Kate Middleton herself, who snapped up no fewer than four items from one of the brand’s London stores prior to her 2011 honeymoon to the Seychelles.

Alternatively, if garden parties aren’t your thing but freebies most definitely are, Lancome is offering a mega gift at Debenhams from Thursday May 7 to Sunday May 24. Worth up to €145 and containing a mini-mascara, lipstick and nail-polish, as well as a serum, fragrance, full-sized cleanser, and choice of skin cream, it costs you absolutely nadda if buy two Lancome products.

Earlier this year, the cosmetics brand announced it had nabbed celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge (her clients include Keira Knightley and Kate Winslet) as its creative director. Lisa draws millions of fans to her YouTube channel, where she offers expert advice and tips via easy-to-follow tutorials.
