Beyoncé pens sweet tribute to daughter Blue Ivy for new movie role

Beyoncé has been sharing her pride for her eldest child!

For the first time ever, the Crazy In Love hitmaker has been celebrating starring in a movie alongside her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy will be making voice acting appearances in the upcoming live-action The Lion King prequel, Mufasa, which is due to be released in cinemas on December 20.

Beyoncé has reprised her role of Queen Nala, whom she first voiced in the 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King, This time, for the highly-anticipated Mufasa movie, Blue Ivy is starring alongside her, lending her voice for Queen Nala’s oldest daughter, Princess Kiara.

Last night, the mother-and-daughter duo celebrated their film collaboration in Los Angeles, as they attended the red carpet premiere of Mufasa.

Following the lavish premiere, Beyoncé chose to take to social media to share her pride for her young daughter’s feature film debut.

The 43-year-old – who is also a mum to her six-year-old twins Rumi and Sir – took to Instagram to share two beautiful snaps of Blue Ivy from the premiere, wearing a stunning floor-length gold gown.

“Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining,” she added.

Many of Beyoncé’s followers have since been sharing their own pride for Blue Ivy’s movie debut.

“Congratulations Blue Ivy on your big night, enjoy this moment,” another commented.

“I feel like a proud auntie,” a third fan teased.

This is not the first time that Blue Ivy has been associated with The Lion King films. For the 2019 remake, Blue Ivy featured with her mother on the track Brown Skin Girl, from the film’s soundtrack. 

The song went on to win a Grammy for best music video, and made Blue Ivy the second youngest person to ever win a Grammy award at just nine years old.
