Brace yourselves for 100km winds! The ‘Beast from the East’ is coming

It is time to wrap up friends, because Ireland is to be hit by a massive storm tomorrow, bringing winds of up to 100 km per hour. 

Later in the week, the ‘Beast from the East’ freeze will arrive to our lovely Isle, and will see temperatures drop to as low as -10C.

Get the hot water ready, because it is time to get cosy. 

A weather forecaster said: “Strong, gusty south to southeast winds on Monday will reach mean speeds of 45km/hr to 65km/hr, with gusts of 90km/hr to 100km/hr in coastal areas.

The freezing weather is expected to arrive from Russia over the next few days, with the cold snap continuing through the weekend. 

Met Eireann has forecast 3C to 6C next weekend, but it could feel much colder as a result of the windchill.

A forecaster said: “Friday and next weekend will be very cold as an easterly airflow becomes established over Ireland.

This is the perfect excuse to build a fort, and binge watch Netflix shows ALL WEEK.
