Carey Mulligan & Marcus Mumford share some good news

Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford are pregnant with their first child. 

The actress sparked pregnancy rumours as she was covering up her slim figure with looser and shapeless clothing of late. 

Following her appearance at the Tony Awards on Sunday night in New York, Us Weekly has reported that the British star is expecting. 

The British actress is around halfway through her pregnancy and from Sunday night's floor length red gown to last months Met Gala attire, her maternity style is certainly on-point. 

Carey and hubby Marcus both have extremely busy scheduales at the moment. Mulligan has been busy the past few months starring in Broadway's Skylight with Bill Nighy while her partner of five years has a new album Wilder Mind.

A source recently told E! News, "She is feeling wonderful. She is really excited to finish her projects up in the next coming months and enjoy some time off to just focus on her and family. Her pregnancy has been going well and she is trying to take it easy in between press with her new film Far from the Madding Crowd and her show on Broadway."

Carey's run on broadway ends next month but it seems she might be home alone for a while as her husband shows no signs of slowing down just yet. In fact, Mumford & Sons are even headlining a few major music festivals coming up like Reading and Leeds 2015 and Bonnaroo.

Mulligan usually doesn't open up about her personal life but made an exception during a 2014 interview with The Guardian.

When asked how marriage has changed her, she replied, "I think I'm more settled and more secure than I've probably ever been, and more confident and excited about the work choices that I make."

The notoriously private duo tied the knot back in April 2012 in front of around 100 guests—including several famous friends like Colin Firth, Sienna Miller and Jake Gyllenhaal—on a farm in Somerset.
