Cause of death revealed in the sad case of Kristin Cavallari’s brother
Michael Cavallari, whose body was found three miles from his abandoned car in Utah two months ago, died from hypothermia officials have determined today.
While there was rumblings that reality star Kristin Cavallari's troubled brother may have taken his own life, an official autopsy has revealed that his death was in fact accidental and that his passing was a result of prolonged exposure to sub-freezing temperatures.
"Michael Cavallari's body was found three miles from where his car was wrecked in the high desert of Grand County, Utah," police told E! News at the time of the man's disappearance.
"There were no signs of major trauma and no suicide note. Cops did not find any evidence of drugs or alcohol either."
Family members became concerned for the safety of the 30-year-old when his car was found abandoned on a motorway near to his home.
Days later police confirmed that the body of Michael Cavallari was found in a mountainous area close to the site of the abandoned car.
The news came just two weeks after Kristin announced the birth of her third child to husband Jay Cutler.
