Cheryl breaks her silence after pregnancy rumours

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been surrounded by pregnancy rumours following her absence from the National Television Awards on Wednesday night.

While she did tweet a congratulations to The X Factor on their win, her absence was noted and many began to speculate that she may be pregnant with her first child. She has been unusually quiet on social media and hasn’t been doing many public events since The X Factor season ended before Christmas.

Many fans believed she was replying to the pregnancy rumours when she tweeted: “People should never jump to conclusions about others .. You never know what they may be dealing with #thatsall.”

Now it seems she may be planning something big as she shared an Instagram snap and captioned: “Exciting day ahead.”

Could a baby announcement be on the horizon?

Update 14:36pm: Alas, the Geordie star has just made her announcement on Twitter…and it wasn't baby news! Cheryl cheekily tweeted: "I'm happy to announce my exciting news. I will be delivering my first…centre in Newcastle for #CherylsTrust." 

Thanks for the mini heart-attack, Cheryl! This is also a lovely announcement though!
