Christina Milian is single again… but three months ago it was ‘love’

Christina Milian has called time on her relationship with rapper Lil' Wayne, it was revealed this week.

The Dip It Low singer split from her boyfriend of one year in late August, a source reveals to E! News.

"They have broken up. Their schedules started getting extremely busy and the distance was not easy for them both."

Despite their split, the pair remain seemingly amicable, even attending the same New York Fashion Week event last Sunday.

Christina and Wayne were first linked in June 2014, but didn't speak publicly about their relationship until much further down the line. Back in April, the singer admitted it was "love" for her an Wayne during a radio interview.

And over the summer she discussed the couple's intense connection again, showing off the arm tattoo she'd had inked in Wayne's honour reading "love hard…TNT," a nod to their nicknames, Tina and Tunechi.

"For me, I'm so inspired by the relationship that I'm in that it's definitely an experience," she told ET Online.

"It's that careless, hopeless, romantic love – that feeling of 'I will do anything for you.'"

It's been a difficult few weeks for Christina, who was left devastated last month by the death of her nephew Richie just hours after his birth.

The tragic baby boy was born with the birth defect Omphalocele, in which the baby's organs form outside of the body. Christina's sister, Danielle Milian, was first told of the defect when she went for a routine ultrasound scan back in March.

Taking to Instagram to thank her fans for their support, Christina said she and her family had been through an "emotional rollercoaster."
