Classic couch commentator?! Still time to be part of GOGGLEBOX
We did it with Take Me Out, we did it with First Dates, and now we're doing it with Googlebox.
While we mightn't have the best one-liners when vying for a stranger's attention, and our first date etiquette leaves a lot to be desired, there's one thing us Irish can do better than anyone else.
And that – as we all know – is happily rip the p*ss out of any eejit who pontificates, jazz-hands or basically has the audacity to appear on our television screens night in, night out.
And the makers of the smash-hit Channel 4 show want to know all about it.
With the Irish version of the show set to hit our screens this autumn, the good folk behind the reality show want to remind the Irish public that there's still enough time to put yourself forward for inclusion.
Darren Smith, Managing Director of Kite Entertainment, makers of Gogglebox in Ireland has officially put the call out, saying: "We want to show decent Irish families who are likable, while being unique and different at the same time."
"We did street casting and went out and about, eavesdropping on the DART, and in cafés all over Ireland," he explained.
"The people we’ve seen so far are really good but there’s always telly gold out there," he continued. "We’re still interested in having a chat with families and individuals who’d like to take part."
The makers are looking for approximately ten families who think they might be the next Moffatts, Michaels or Siddiquis.
What are you waiting for?!
