Cocoa Brown clears up concerns about cruelty free ‘urea’ ingredient
Cocoa Brown have taken to social media to clear up some queries regarding their cruelty-free stance.
The iconic Irish tanning brand had to defend their animal by-product free production after amn unnamed blogger alleged that Cocoa Brown was not cruelty-free as it includes urea.
Responding to the claim, CB said:
'Urea, which is an ingredient that is found in Cocoa Brown Fresh Start can be manufactured synthetically or from animals.'
'We use the synthetic version.'
At a time when the emphasis is on securing animal rights in the beauty industry, it the claims needed to be addressed.
Cocoa Brown features on a number of cruelty-free company lists in Ireland.
