Shocking ad campaign uses celeb pics WITHOUT their permission
So pictures of Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner with burst lips and black eyes went viral yesterday as part of a pretty shocking domestic violence campaign.
The ads were designed by artist, AleXsandro Palombo and the project featured photo shopped images of well known female celebrities looking battered and bruised.
The campaign is definitely eye catching but it is making headlines for reasons other than the intense imagery that was used.
Apparently, AleXsandro used the pictures without getting permission from the stars who were featured.
According to TMZ, reps for Kim and Kendall confirmed that neither of the reality star duo had signed off on their pictures being used for the campaign.
The ladies have reportedly got their attorneys on the case who have a issued a warning to AleXsandro and ordered that the ads be removed.
We don't know about you, but we would not want to face the wrath of any Kardashian.
According to AleXsandro, the purpose of the project was to bring awareness to the International Day for Elimination of Violence which took place on November 25 and encourage those who have suffered from domestic violence to "break the silence."
He also insisted that he only used commercially-available paparazzi shots to create the posters and then heavily photo shopped them.
A spokesperson from the Kardashians noted that even though Kim and Kendall support the message of the campaign, they felt that they should reserve the right to decide whether their public image is used for a social cause.
The posters feature a string of famous faces including Angelina Jolie, Emma Watson, Miley Cyrus and Madonna.
